The final was cool. As I suspected the player who scored first won every game. Although in game 5 it felt like last goal wins and I ended up losing 8-7. That was when it felt like it was slipping away, so I'm most happy about tightening up and only allowing 3 goals over the next 2 games. Good games again Bob - shall we do this again in '96? I don't know the average overall ratings for my starters but I loaded it up and I got: Stevens 83 MacInnis 77 (Leetch 82) Lindros 85 Hull 81 Renberg 76 (Janney 81) Leclair is only a 60-something but he will blossom. My goalies are both trash but hey had to save money somewhere. Hull and Lindros actually seem to play a lot like they do in '94 to me. Lindros will get better next year!

Hey BobK, thanks again for the shout out and for the great season. We have been neck and neck this whole league and I'm just glad I've won 2 of the 3. Still pumped about this one. tru I can give you some more data when I'm home but the ratings don't match the '95 ROM. I know what you mean about all the 100 overalls. Our league uses stats converted from Genesis iirc.

Mario's 160 in 60 remains one of the most bad ass achievements in hockey ever. On pace to beat Gretzky's records, misses 2 months for cancer treatment, comes back and still wins the scoring title. First game back gets a standing ovation in Philly. Imagine that happening to Sid! I was a hockey fan before '92 but some of my earliest memories of really following the game were from this year. Everyone was talking about Selanne. Mogilny was quietly going toe to toe with him. Almo had 7 hat tricks that year, wow. As for the ratings Gretzky, obviously got screwed but I think '92-93 Gretzky just wasn't built for videogame hockey. That unique hockey sense he had just doesn't translate to the game.

Everything sounds good so far boys! Doubling the numbers will be tough. But I love the attitude.

Renberg is sawft. He needs to step up the physical play a bit, this is supposed to be the Legion of Doom here! Overall I like my team but when they're off their game I was having a hard time keeping up with your skaters.

So if we had a normal schedule I would have taken a nice 4 games off Bob Kudelski and taken my ball and ran home, but noooo we have RIVALRY NIGHT so I had to play 4 more against him and got stomped in each game. Nice comeback bud I will be content with the split after another day or two of grieving.
