After a great weekend playing Genesis Hockey with @angryjay93
I got back into making/improving roms.
I really can't believe, I've never done this one before.
I did include these teams in my 1980 NHL rom.But in the spirit of the Olympics this one deserves its own rom.
This one is my Miracle on Ice 1980 Olympic NHL '94 rom.
It has the 6 Teams that mattered from the 1980 Olympic Hockey Tournament. (USA, Soviets, Finland, Sweden, Canada, Czech)
I did not include the other 6 teams. (West Germany, Romania, Norway, Poland, Netherlands, Japan)
Each team 22 players (4 lines, 3 sets of D, and 2 goalies)
The lines are set as close as possible to the actual lines that played together.
USA "Coneheads" and Czech "Stastny Bros"
Quite a few players from '94 played in the '80 Olympics and they maintain their ratings.
The other players are based on a '94 theme.
Team USA players are either themselves from '94 (Neal Broten, Dave Christian, and Mike Ramsey) or based on a player who was also a USA Olympian (Jim Craig has Mike Richter ratings, Ken Morrow has Eric Weinrich ratings etc...)
The Soviets Fetisov, Kasatonov, and Makarov are themselves. The rest of the players are all based on Soviet players in '94. Mogilny, Bure, and Federov ratings for the top line of Mikhailov, Kharlamov, and Krutov.
The Finns have Jari Kurri plus other Finnish player ratings in '94.
The Swedes are the only team without any actual '94 players but all of the ratings are based on Swedes in '94.
The Czechs have Peter Stastny and then all the other players are based on Czech players in '94.
Team Canada has Glen Anderson and Tim Watters from '94. The rest of the team is based on the Ottawa Senators from '94.
The lines are set with 4 lines in the spirit of the Line Rolling League.The rom is Weight Bug Fixed and the C/B check is eliminated.
The B-check won't work with Penalties Off.Player Cards are all new and created by me.
The ProSet logo is on the scoreboard and in the 3-stars screen.The Medal Round Match-ups are adjusted to have just 6 Teams.
If you advance and win the Gold Medal you will have played 4 of the possible 5 opponents.

The rom is not based on a specific year but on the players from 1951-1967.It has the 6 Teams from the Original 6 era.
Each team 23 players (4 lines and 3 goalies)

Boston "Uke Line", Detroit "Production Line", New York "GAG Line"
No player is on 2 teams.
The lines are set with 4 lines in the spirit of the Line Rolling League.The rom is Weight Bug Fixed and the C/B check is eliminated.
The B-check won't work with Penalties Off.Player Cards are all new and created by me.
The ProSet logo is on the scoreboard and in the 3-stars screen.The Playoff Match-ups are adjusted to have just 6 Teams.
If you advance and win the Cup you will have played 4 of the possible 5 opponents.

It has the 24 Teams plus Wales and Campbell All-Star Teams from 1993 but with some retro logos and colors.
The ratings are just like the original game.
The lines are set with 4 lines in the spirit of the Line Rolling League.The Charlestown Chiefs and Syracuse Bulldogs from the 1977 movie Slapshot are team 27 and 28.
All player ratings for both of these teams are maxed out to provide the ultimate challenge to play against.Team 29 is the All-Stars from the Original 6 Era. (my all-time favorite players)
Team 30 is the 1977 Atlanta Flames. (my all-time favorite team)
The rom is Weight Bug Fixed and the C/B check is eliminated.
The B-check won't work with Penalties Off.Player Cards are all new and created by me or @kingraph
The ProSet logo is on the scoreboard and in the 3-stars screen.The Playoff Match-ups have 3 possibilities.
A. Actual 1993 Divisional Match-ups.
B. Expansion Teams and/or Divisional Rivalries.
C. Original 6/WHA/All-Star/Federal Match-ups.

So let me give you the details on his awesomeness.
I have been trying for years to take the Original Tecmo Bowl and make it into an NCAA rom encompassing you guessed it the 1960's, 70's, and 80's.The biggest glitch was the end zones and playbooks.
I asked him for help and in minutes he jumped in with both feet.
Additionally he is helping edit the scoreboard and helmets.
I tried for years to get help on this other places to no avail, but this guy did everything and more in a day.
So be on the lookout for some awesome Tecmo Bowl roms in the near future.

For an 8 Team Bracket
Do your 8 teams on the left side of the bracket.
Put an Easter Egg team or teams on the other side.
I also make all the banners for the Easter Egg Teams Blue like the screenMy 1968-1970 Roms have 8 team brackets.
1967 and before have 4 team brackets.
I do not know of a way to actually make the bracket, just 8 teams.
I would love to be able to hack the rom to be best of 3 (H A H) and Best of 5.

He was a bad ass, more than a goal scorer, but he is quite a story.

Nothing to go on here except that he is one of the few Rangers to wear #13.
Camille Henry and Danny Lewicki were tiny little guys who played for the Rangers but neither ever wore #13.
This one bothers me as we have most of the team.
