  1. BHF, if you're ever interested in relieving yourself of Chicago, please let me know. Would love to have a run with them for a season.
  2. Thanks a lot Clockwise. Can't say enough how awesome these sprites are. Great job!
  3. It depends where people are located. You typically want to use a server that's closest b/w the 2 players. Through my experience, most people use SCD or Daroms.
  4. Hey Jesus, is there a way to get a sprite where the goalie is flashing his glove out to the side? That is, in the way he might use his glove to swipe a slap shot out of the air? If it's too much trouble, don't worry. If you can do it, would love to see a Belfour at home one of those.
  5. I'm good with any of these, how about everyone else?
  6. sorry man, i don't see habs anywhere. I think he got addicted to online Go-Fish last I heard. Next time you check in, just reply with some times that would work for you and we'll go from there. I'm flexible on times.
  7. Habs and Addison, Monkeyjuice and I will be on this evening around 7:45 central time. Lets try to do this. If you can't do it tonight, leave a message here on what times work good for you. Lata guys! Eric
  8. D, for those of us who are interested in season 2, will you be carrying over our userstats?
  9. If anyone is looking for Pilon, here is his email.... Jmarshall747@hotmail.com Pilon, if you get this, contact me soon so we can finish up and start playoffs this weekend. Thanks!
  10. BHF said he would be available tonight. Pilon, if you see this, please reply so we can finish up. Thanks! BHF - 2 gms Pilon - 2 gms
  11. Hey guys, I was just looking for coaches to play so I can finish up my schedule. My time is a little tight lately so if you could let me know around a time that you could play, I will do what I can to play at that time. I have to finish up with the following coaches: Hokkeefan - 2 gms jj2k - 1 gm AngryJay - 4 gms BHF - 2 gms Pilon - 2 gms If you could reply here letting me know, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  12. No problem man. We'll get those games in this weekend. Just to give you the heads up, I'm not going to be available during football playoffs and Sat night I have to door over at this bar so that will eat up all of that night. Sat earlier on or Sunday early evening will probably work best. Take care.
  13. D and everyone, I'm sorry, I was out over the holidays and ever since New Year's, I've been really sick. If anyone is looking for games from me, I will be around starting at about 5 or 6 pm (central time). I'll get this finished up. Sorry everyone for the delay.
  14. I would like to second BHF comment with a big thank you to Dmitri. I'm not only impressed with his workmanship on this league but how many guys out there can you honestly say have his gf man his forum when he's not available? I'm impressed on all levels. Dmitri, can you set up a girlfriend training tutorial as well? ;-)
  15. Hey guys, sorry I haven't been online lately. Holiday commitments and had some issues with the 'ole PC. I'll be back on this weekend. Probably a good time to beat up on me since I'll be rusty. Hope all is well with everyone and Happy New Year, E
  16. If you're ever looking for AIMs to get you started, check out the league forums for the links to those pages... all the coaches AIMs are listed there. And hit me up if you ever want to play... Ericanthony76. Good luck!
  17. Clockwise, what more can you say but f'ing hilarious! I love the tribute to ahola... nice touch. It's all about the porridge and juice baby!
  18. Sorry to stray away from the original topic, I'm not trying to hijack the thread. I just figured that people that play both would probably be viewing this and I was curious about my question for awhile now. I asked simply for the reason that the gameplay is so different and I would be impressed if people were competitive in both versions and even played in both leagues. We have a couple coaches in the draft league who came from the SNES league and it seems like they're having some difficulty adapting to the gameplay in the GENS version. If Hokkeefan is as competitive in the SNES version as he is in the GENS, then I'm thinking he must be one of the few anomalies. As for me, I know better, I never could make the transition to playing 95 GENS (which I've heard is more similar to 94 SNES) and then bring my normal game to the 94 GENS which is the version that I'm most comfortable with. Maybe this is a bad comparison but it's like in college when I would play ping pong (mind you the version with massive amounts of alcohol that was consumed during play) and then within the next couple days trying to play tennis. Come to think of it, maybe it wasn't trying to play 2 different racket sports in such close proximity... it was probably because we incorporated alcohol into our tennis as well. Please strike this analogy from the records.
  19. Hullie, how did you know that? Did you see my clip on youtube too? Man, I don't think I'm ever going to be able to live that one down.
  20. I'm sure this is too obvious, but you probably don't have to rely on zazzle or some other online company to make your shirt. Have you guys checked around where you live for just small shirtwork shops. I was surprised that there were a couple in my backyard when I actually did a search. And since their business is done in house and face-to-face, I'm sure it would be easier to swing whatever design you want. And if you put in an order, they'll save your template so if you ever feel the need to order more for stocking stuffers for the whole family, you won't be charged another template fee.
  21. There are actually GENS players who turn to the SNES version as well? Lets call them Lost Souls. Hal, I am curious though, are there a lot of competitive players on this site who go both ways so to speak?
  22. Hullie, you got your stinky, poop fingers on the bible? Sounds like blasphemy to me. Patio, this may or may not be much help to you... As far as the manual is concerned, it's a great source for the rules of the game, however, for player detail, it's not the best resource you could use since it only lists the overall ratings. What you should do is download NOSE (NHL Old Skool Editor) which has it's own section in the forum. Then open the NHL94 rom through that program and you'll be able to compare all the player attributes, as well as, modify it to create your own version. Check it out if you haven't already. It's extremely easy to use.
  23. In the short time I've been on this site, I've met some great people and had more than my fair share of fun. I can't say enough how impressed I am with the efforts of Evan to maintain this site and keep it functioning at a level that is easy for everyone to use. Moreover, he will reply to any request you should have (even though he's probably responded to the same question 5 million times) and treats everyone with a high level of respect. Who knows? With the rate that this site has been growing, it could turn into a full time job for Evan. Until that time comes though, I would defenitely contribute some money for his efforts.
  24. Easy guys, I'm just kidding around here. Lets not get our panties in a bunch. You put it out there looking for responses so I'm giving you what you want. I'm just saying that I understand why your buddy reacted the way he did. Lets keep things in perspective here, this is a game and we play it for fun. And unless you're killing a penalty, I don't think the keep away game is a strategy that anyone should consider. First of all, b/c we're better players than to resort to that strategy. And second, even though it is a strategy that's used in real hockey, we have to deal with something that real players don't.... AI. Chel AI can't adapt to that style which makes it very easy to do and what I would consider a cheap way of playing. I probably would have been laughing at your friends expense if I were there. But at the same time, I would hope that you would only do that to get a rise out of your bud rather than to think that's a solid strategy that you should incorporate into the way you play the game. In regards to the best way to score, probably one of the first and well known codes of all times. Contra for old school NES. Man, I can't believe you didn't get the reference but then again, I've probably dated myself big time. And Baron, I was more than relieved to read that you don't "want" me, especially after your friends deemed you the gay one. ;-) Just messin around, couldn't help myself. And you don't have to resort to praying to get a game, just use my AIM and we can set something up. I'm always up for someone new to play against.
