Interesting matchup with mtl a purely defensive team vs cgy a highly powered offense. Season series 4-0 CGY Im going to have to take the square pick of carse in 5. TOR angryjay93 +111 BUF vocally caged -111 Intriguing matchup two grizzled veterans from the same division, split season seriries with two games going to OT. SOH comes into the playoffs on fire after starting 7-14 he finished a tidy 21-19 and 9-1 in his last 10 games. Aj had a similarly slow start and finished right on pace with SOH 2 games over .500. This ones gonna be a tight one. Season series tied 2-2 Prediction: 4-3 BUF -111 bracket 2 DET jrodimus -115 NYR swos +115 Another very tight matchup on paper, jrod coming back after a long hiatus and swos who is always a contender and might be a dark horse for these playoffs. In a similar position in BLITZ 5, swos the 7th seed stumbled in the reg season but went on to dominate the playoffs and win the cup. It will likely be a bit harder with a fat rangers squad vs an elite wings team. Season series tied 1-1 Prediction: 4-3 NYR +115 EDM icestorm -139 WPG hokkeefan +139 Icestorm has impressively lead a very average edm roster in a very tough A league to a 20-17 rec while hokkee has been impressive staying close to .500 with WPG. Old man hokkee gets a legit shot here at the cup with teemu, while hes gonna be a dog this man knows one thing and that his how to grind out wins. Ice has been pretty hot with the oilers and playing very well overall. Season series 2-0 EDM Prediction: hmm ice been playin great but hokkee capable of the upsets for sure. Im gona take hokk +139 in 7. Frey holds a 4-3 lead in alltime playoff series wins between the two. With most of these series going 7 games and to the wire including two game 7 OTs theres just tons of history between these big rivals. I expect another amazing series. Both cgy and la are known for explosive offenses and weak defenses/goaltending. Season series: 2-0 LA Prediction: LA -122 in 7 BUF vocally caged +104 QUE zalex -104 Two veterans with good teams. Zalex has been very consistent all season with QUE and has proven he can win against anybody. Now this matchup usually favours zalex and while he is dominating blitz this season including a 10-0 win vs sohomo, I believe it may be sohomos time. SOH is going into the playoffs on fire and has finally harnessed the buffalo's apelike speed power. Coming off a fresh win against Angrygay in a 7 game battle he seems prime for his first real deep run in the playoffs in awhile(ever?). But make no mistake this is pretty much a pickem with a slight edge to Zalex. Im takin the sohomo in 7. EDM icestorm +348 CHI flasox -348 While the season series shows ice somehow managed to beat flasox and chicago an incredible 3/4 times it will be hard to duplicate this in the playoffs. Expect a high scoring series here. Ice has been great lately and is capable of this upset but hes def an underdog here simply because of the team matchups. And flasox is just great with this chicago club. Ive given EDM some very high odds all season, and ass has proven me wrong so far..but if he can pull this one off those odds will drop significantly. Season series: 3-1 EDM Prediction: Chi -348 in 6 NYR swos +115 VAN canadiensfan66 -115 This should be a close one, habs been struggling big time lately and on a nice cold streak heading into playoffs. Swos has been very hot heading into playoffs and seems to have found the rangers groove. He is super dangerous come playoff time, kind of kg esc. Capable of those deep runs to the cup. And already has a playoff round win over detroit (jrod). Habs been to the past two classic finals hes participated in. Vancouver been wildly inconsistent all season with long losing and winning streaks. Both last met in playoffs in last seasons blitz as swos won in 5 tight games on his way to cup win.
