  1. I prefer to have Gartner as the playmaker/setup guy to feed Messier. Gartner can also get the puck off the faceoff for an individual play. Yes, Messier CB check is devastating (10 weight, 5 chk), so defensively it's great to have him all over. On offense, his 3/3 shot is good enough to pocket one-timers. His pass shot is quick too, not sure if that's due to his passing rating, weight, or what.

  4. Yup what @kingraph said I'm one of the 95ers here. Still working on the set up with are guys. Will get us working here soon. The whole computer emulations stuff is new to our crew so we get frustrated and drink beer instead of finishing the install

  5. Yes, up and working. Just have to install Retroarch, download the ROM, and connect with someone to play (join Discord from link in my OP). Hosting a game requires port forwarding, which can be technical. You don't need to do this if someone else hosts. There is a server option that doesn't require port forwarding for either person. That hasn't been as reliable, and I haven't personally tested, but it's an easier option for anyone concerned about port forwarding.

  7. I THINK so, but we need to keep testing. The core '95 guys are completely new to online play and are not as active (yet), while the experienced online 94 guys aren't playing '95 exhibitions. My last two games were completely fine though.

  9. I second removing the army green ban. I think the only matchup below LA that is fair is QUE and even then I'm not too sold on that I'll grant you STL is tough to group but I think I'd put them below WSH. STL seems substantially worse than every team above them but also fairly better than everyone below them except WSH. I would consider flipping PHI and EDM so that you could run a band for STL from Edm to NJ. (Edm, Pit, Hfd, NJ) I would put WSH above Edm and leave them out of the STL band. My argument for WSH over STL can be summed up this way. Wsh has a 6 speed player, a legit sniper in Khristch and a good role player in Ridley. Throw in one of the best and most versatile blue lines in the game and you have a great team with a weak goalie. STL has one player (Hull) who does not have elite skating and can be inconsistent with goal scoring. They lack a true play maker or speedster up front and are brutally slow. Their defense is 1 player deep, but Brown is slow too. Joseph is an okay goalie but nothing more. I think WSH is dynamic and deserves a band along the lines of (Tor, Edm, NYR, Pit, Que). I think they can go even higher but I don't want to go further until I get a feel for the reaction on this line of thinking. I guess Que still needs a band (Tor & NYR for sure). I guess LA? Dal too? But not much more than that. DAL you could give them a line from Van-NYR. They are crazy inconsistent and have no home ice adv. On the other hand their skating allows them to play with anyone and they are great on the road. I intended only to note a few things, I have clearly gotten out of hand so I'll stop now

  10. The extractor only works with 94 roms...but if you use NOSE to copy the rosters over from other roms to 94, it will work.
