This would be an interesting issue to get a vote on. It is clear there would be a more level playing field if you have only 2 games per every team. It certainly would be easy to schedule, and everyone should be able to get the 2 games in one sitting (possibly avoiding guys not getting games in / pinpointing coaches that need to be replaced.) The obvious drawback like the deer said is the rivalries would be gone, and the race for the playoffs would be a little less intense. As it currently stands.... with the # of teams that get into the playoffs, there really isn't a race for that. I would favor changing the schedule into 2 games per every team. Are there any other scheduling ideas guys have?

I try to avoid it, but on breakaways, slap shots, and skate across goals..... it is pretty much a necessity to use the manual goalie.

You guys dont pay attention do you? I just beat kgman in a 3 game series. When we play, it's always 50/50. This league is strictly about matchups. Everyone has weaknesses.

If you want to practice, don't play as Ottawa. Play as the team you like best, but take out the goalie. The best defense is puck control on offense, and not letting any shots on goal.

For the longest time, I didn't know about the magic powers of Bob Bassen. But then I played an exhibition game against kgman, and he chose St. Louis. He choose Bobby B as his right winger, and I became a believer. However at the time, my thoughts were more like "Bob Bassen is the littlest b***h who keeps on scoring, I must kill him." I checked out your record in the B league, and you make a good point that you deserve a shot in the A league soon. I think since there are a lot of guys who are qualified to play, there should be a contigency based on some set of priorities, like: 1. Competitive player 2. On waiting list 3. Best record in B league... etc etc. Just something in writing so there isn't a bunch of guesswork and perhaps unhappy people who don't get in.

It looks to me there are 2 teams in the Gens A league that aren't getting their games in; Calgary and Toronto. It looks like Ken said he's going to get his games finished up, so I'm looking foward to that. Did Feez indicate the same? I know it seems to bug some people about replacing coaches, but I'm posting about this wondering about what contingency will take place for replacement? Since A leagues are about competition, should we bring in the best guys, or do we bring in guys 1st on the waiting list? I would love to see clockwise join the league, but another guy who is also making a case is AngryJay93. He'd definately be a competitor in the A league, and he looks to be online often enough to get games in. If we end up making 2 replacements, those are 2 guys I'd love to see fill in. -looking foward to next season when I can get Boston back

since the start of this thread, no toronto games have been played. I've messaged Ken twice for games, but he has been working both times. It seems he isn't available enough to connect with guys in this league to finish out the fall 2006 season. My suggestion is that he is replaced for the remainder of the season ASAP. The games need to be played, time is running out, and Ken is typically unavailable. I know that Ken deserves to be in the A league, and recommend him for the next season if he is available, but it isn't working out right now. Let's finish the season on time!

Yea man, I've had 6 seconds a few times. I might've had 5, but I'm not sure, I don't really keep track of it. I'd like to hear of someone who has gotten 5 to verify it. Just check foward right of the faceoff, and either slap it home, or deke. Pass shot would be quickest though.

it took me about 2 minutes to realize you were talking about the playoffs, but once that clicked, you make a good point. "home ice advantage" in the playoffs should be the players choice.

I'm making a WWF call out here. This guy has 6 games completed. He is never online. When he is, I message him to no response. Maybe he is just not available, and I am bothering him. If so, he clearly doesn't have time for the league. Get some games in, or replace him.

I'm looking for 3 more guys in my fantasy hockey league. It is a little higher than casual play, but lower than hardcore.
