I don't think Bishop commanded any more than a 2nd round pick. I thought they'd package him and maybe a pick of the Blues for a veteran D but that didn't happen. Bishop isn't a proven NHL goalie yet. He's had very limited experience. He wasn't going to get the opportunity in St. Louis. Plus, it seems like the Blues management have higher hopes for our other AHL goalie Jake Allen than they did for Bishop.

If four are dropping from A to B then there's 0% chance of me, Wookie, Orange, & Rammer (if Rammer returns) moving up to B. I'd hate to see two B leagues. I want to make sure I understand this draft 100% too. Last year I didn't understand fully how it worked. So here's my understanding on the draft. Let's say there's 12 people including me in a league. Say me and one other guy pick Chicago as our first overall team. All 10 other managers pick a unique team as their #1. Let's say the guy that picked Chi gets the # 1 pick overall and I'm # 2 overall. The way I understand the rules the guy picks Chi 1st. Then I get skipped because I had Chi picked as my first team. Then all other 10 teams get their # 1 choice because everyone of them has a unique team. Then it comes back to me and I get whatever is left on my list after those 10 teams picked. Is that right? If so I'm waiting to see what most people pick on there top 5 teams.

Can there be some discussion on the number of teams in each league? For example there were 12 teams in Gens B league last year. There were four of us in Gens C that are good enough to play in Gens B. Smoz won Gens B last year so let's assume (maybe) he moves up to A this year. That would still be 11 returning players from B league. I'd much rather have a mediocre team and play in B then have any team and go through a C season. What would the potential players in B league think about possibly having more than 12?

If the HF boards are a true example of a fan base then it's San Jose fans and it's not even close. Just read their game day threads. According to them I don't think San Jose has ever deserved to lose a game. It's always reffing. They come up with some other clever ways that their team gets screwed over though. The last game the Blues played the Sharks their fans were saying the Blues made the ice bad on purpose so that the Sharks couldn't break out quickly. It's not like one guy came up with that and was criticized. They were all pretty much saying that was the biggest reason they lost. But all their game day threads in which they lose turn into this whine fest where no amount of cheese could ever solve the problem.

Yeah we got rid of Boyes in time. He's a good guy but holy BatCrap has he fallen off. The 2nd round pick we got from Buffalo seems like a steal at this point.

Not sure if he's that good but he's definitely good. The big thing with Nash is who is going to take on that contract that comes with him? I'm really curious to see what my Blues do if anything. I'm not expecting much but with Army as the GM ya just never know.

I've never told anyone I couldn't play this because I'm playing SWTOR. I've said before that I won't have as much time to play this. SWTOR is certainly one reason. Another is I have a three year old, which you remind me of ;-) I'm still open to playing you though. I may even let you win like I do my little girl when she races me to the house. Some people are glass half full and others are glass half empty type personalities. I'm betting you're the "I'm taking my ball and going home" type more so than the bastion of integrity. Who knows though? Maybe you give money to the Ronald McDonald foundation or to the United Way. Maybe you donate more for the Toys for Tots every X'mas than you spend on yourself. Maybe you volunteer at a homeless shelter and pass out soup along with worldly advice. Maybe you sponser a child through the Save The Children foundation. Maybe you give lectures on The General Theory of Relativity and how it demonstrates that time is linked to matter and space, and thus the dimensions of time, space, and matter constitute what we would call a continuum. Maybe you just help little old ladies cross the street. But I'm still putting my money on the "I'm taking my ball and going home" LOL!!!

I'll be on tomorrow night 12/15 from 8pm cst. Let's get them done. I've usually been on every day except the last few days. Early access to SWTOR started so it's been eating up time.

Realignment. If it involves a change for the NHL I'm sure they'll goof things up somehow. How about we fix this stupid overtime crap before we add to the problems with realignment? The NHL's overtime is like little league baseball now. Everyone gets a trophy for making it to OT. How can anyone justify losing and getting a point? Let alone creating an entire different game (shootout) to decide who wins a hockey game. When baseball games go into extra innings why don't they stop playing baseball and start a homerun competition. Or for football maybe if you reach OT they can stop playing the game and have a field goal kicking contest. Shootouts suck. The whole thing sucks for picking a winner of a hockey game. Go back to ties or just play till someone scores. Go 4v4 the first OT. If you're still tied go 3 on 3. It won't take long and someone will score. At least play hockey. For this new system you'll have to create new trophies. Say goodbye to the East and West champion trophies. Why not just leave the two conferences and take the top 8 teams for the playoffs? If you need to move Winnipeg to the West that's not a big deal. What happens if Phoenix or Florida wind up moving cities after this round of realignment? Do we have to break up the latest conferences and divisions again? Two cheers to Bettman for being a super genius again.
