Putting Bradley on the block. Svoboda might move. Love him just looking at some different combos. Drake is a movable piece with one of those 2 if it makes the right package come back. I doubt I could start lindros & Mario on the same team & survive, but if the right name came back & Drake made that possible , I'd be willing to go. Drake is real solid w/ his weight/speed/agility combo, so I'm not looking to dump him.

Update, I'd put Gretzky on the block if I was keeping Phouse in the right package. Happy w / my team, but Phouse & Gretzky don't highlight each other greatly. Most times I was exi'ing w/ lindros (doing well after a fee days of adjusting to his fat, slow ways. Technically, in the right upgrade, I could package a two for one if it was the right name. I've been tied up a lot & didn't have time (minus this past weekend), but didn't want to see a team go "defunct" if it could be avoided. But 8 is an even number, so if you have 8 w/out, then that's the way to go.

Might I also recommend www.kickstarter.com if you are looking for funding. Get the word "NHL94" into that site might be just enough alone to get the funds flowing in.

Sounds like a great documentary. Chasing down Mark Lesser and this long running legend of a game and of course, JR himself, who is always looking for some more camera time these days. He was on the radio here in Chicago one day during an interview and actually tried to steer it towards a pyramid scheme to get people to join, so ANY camera action you can get JR in on, I'm CERTAIN would be gold. You probably gotta read his book to have enough points of interest to keep his attention on the initial phone call to get him to do anything more!! But yeah, this is a quite a diverse community here, as you probably know if you've followed it this long. You'll have to disseminate on your own the advice we have for what will be useful to you. I'd pay to see some of these clowns being interviewed alone, with or without a cool documentary to watch

Thanks Raph & Robbie. I need to make a correction about Game 7. I was just reviewing the box scores and jarred my memory (we had played over an hour of GDL after that series before posting). Game 7, all knotted up at 3 a piece, and we just got done playing 3 games in a row that were not real close, especially Game 5 & 6, with Seth having crushed me 6-3 in Game 5, but then failing to close it out in Game 6 in Washington w/ a beat down by the Bruins 6-2, so I'm hoping for a great game 7, but worried it might not be close one way or the other. The first period goes 0-0. Now that was intense. I'm thinking "HOLY SH&T BATMAN. We got ONE hell of a Game 7 to cap off this series, scoreless each in Game 7 of the first period. That's intense. Then, Bruins win the face off to start the second period, Oates on the RW does a dance, fails to avoid the incoming check, and "dumps it at the net from the blue line against the boards.....it softly lands on Beaupre's head, and trickles down his back side like the queer he is, and you could FEEL Seth/the Cap's life leave the building. Just one of those moments where you knew, OH YEAH, it's gonna be my game. The rest of Game 7 was not much of a game, as Oates ran off a hat trick in the 2nd period alone, three straight, Seth got off only one shot that period, and by the time we got to the 3rd period, the series was already decided. That's one of those "DOA" Homer moments when you wished you had recorded the game for preservation, along w/ Game 1's epic Ray Bourque choke. I can still see that dumb little pixel guy standing in front of the empty net!

Thanks Seth. It was a great series. And yes, Game 1 is tied 2-2 but I'm controlling most of the 3rd period in terms of shots, checks, etc. Finally, after Beaupre makes a diving save w/ less than a minute, Ray Ray grabs the rebound & is standing in front of the net by himself, and takes his time, aims, and hits the post. Seth grabs the rebound off the post, dumps it down & scores w/ 15 secs left to win Game 1! Real kick in the nuts, and w/ Captain Intensity (Seth), it's hard to lose Game 1 & bounce back. Back & forth we went though, and it ended up going game 7. Game 7 started w/ the gayest goal of the series and you could just see it was going to be one of those "instant wins" for Boston. All the bounces my way. It was a shutout till he pulled his goalie on a power play in the 3rd. He's a solid bud to give me credit, cause A) He had Washington! & That game seemed rigged. I'll take the victory. Hope to bring the cup to the Americans

So, WIFEY #2 here seems to be several grades above the first wife. HERE is my XMAS present this year!!!

I'm going to do a full 24 team review & base this off of trades, draft position & obviously, drafted players that were available, and the trades not made based on players drafted. Some of the worst grades will no doubt go to some of my favorite buds, so none of it will be personal. I'll try to get to as many tonight as I can, but even as I start this, I'm hearing chatter from the family room of going out for the night!

FYI, when updated ROM's, plenty of guys won't know which version each guy has, and with trade deadline still open, guys are due to make adjustments yet. ROM's should be named Beta, preseason, etc, so when the final one comes out, there is no confusion. I'd recommend next update to be GDLXIIBeta2 or whatever.

Not first class, but it did inlcude the bag of peanuts. And we all know if someone promised to let you put their nuts in their mouth, you'd forgo the first class anything!

OOOh the irony here. I was laughing when I saw the Plabax announcement cause I knew that meant A finished before B. In fairness, B lost it's "steam", it's "mojo", its Blitz frenzy after the long delay between season ending and playoffs starting. I'd have bet if B was able to start fairly close to its season ending, the playoffs would have been completed by now. BUT STILL....I can only imagine the 10 paragraphed page dissertation from the Canadian Mexican on this one.
