Unfortunate Swedish Translation for the word "Final" in Elitserien 95 the Swedish Port of NHL 95
  2. 53 people posted as going to Retro Night so far. Come join the fun... https://www.facebook.com/events/1883999558511805
  3. I'd say the Orignal Gens 1 AC Power are closter to $16 online now. Have not found a good 3 party yet (those 3-1s don't work) I just bought a couple of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/351653030424?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and was dissapointed. Cords too short and have to tape in the part that plugs to gens as it's loose. It does power Sega though.
  4. I have amassed way too much Sega Genesis Hardware over the years. And as the price has gone up here is some knowledge if you are thinking about owning sega hardware. Prices have went up quite a bit in the last 10 years. Hard to find a deal on EBAY anymore. Sometimes Craigslist you can get a steal but the resellers normally gobble them up first. Those chain Goodwills know the prices on these as well and sell them online instead in stores. If buying on EBAY "No cables to test sega, as is" means it doesn't work Gamestop has went back into retro sales and their prices are competitive if you want to buy now instead of searching for a deal. Try to stay with OG Consoles, Controllers, adapters etc. Most third party stuff is crap The 3rd party 2-1 Consoles I bought was horse poop. couldn't play all the games and controller pad broke after 1st week. Think the brand started with a "y" Main 3 party offenders https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Classic-Genesis-6-Button-Controller/dp/B01LYRONFT/ref=pd_sbs_63_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=V3CFQXJ70P32EE216VMK These Controllers break within the 1st hour https://www.amazon.com/AC-Adaptor-Nintendo-Super-Genesis/dp/B000F0QJIM/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1489499379&sr=1-1&keywords=3+in+1+power+cord these 3 in 1 adapters won't power up a Sega Genesis 1 even though they are sold that way A Nintendo AC Adapter will power up your Sega Genesis 1 but it runs on different current and will eventually fry your sega Sega 1 Power AC adapters and Sega 2 POWER AC adapters are not interchangeable, same goes for TV hook ups. These TV hookups are great! Much better than the COAX for picture quality https://www.amazon.com/Sega-Genesis-Standard-Cable-Bulk-Packaging/dp/B002FY0CM0/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1489499476&sr=1-1&keywords=sega+genesis+tv+adapter New Flat Screen TV's play the game faster than a CRT. I'll post more as they come to me and others feel free to put tips here as well.
  5. Macs coming! awesome. wish I could make it. But the wife would change the locks on the doors if I did 2 weekends of video game tourneys in a span of 3 weeks.
  6. Thanks for insights, for some reason when I DL the ROM it put an extra space in the ROM title. Once we named them the same we were good to go.
  7. Trying to get gens going again and kept getting errot not on game list. Any ideas what problem is
  8. try this. Pretty sure emuparadise is legit https://www.emuparadise.me/Sega_Genesis_-_Sega_Megadrive_ROMs/NHL_95_(USA,_Europe)/38766
  9. Bragging about your Single Days I see.... Nothing Wrong with a little NHL 95 on the side
  10. Esa Tikkanen Pina Colada Rating is 99
  11. WOW that was not manual goalie either?
  12. Thanks! They are only limiting me to 2. Must be a run on these guys. Would love to go to tourney but using up all my kitchen passed for Tecmo Thanks! much better deal than what I saw on Ebay.
  13. Those old 6 butts are the best, harder to find now in a controller Ebay lot. i may have to test out hyperkins thanks for info
  14. So the Hyperkin's are better than any of other new retro controllers but still not as good as the original sega hardware?
  15. Have you tried the Hyperkin 6 Button controller? I have read great reviews on it, then other review saying the d pad is bad and hard to move diagonal
  16. I can't see the eephus. tried to open in windows media player.
  17. Yeah have some buds that do a big NHL 95 tourney in Finland every year and found another group in Finland that posted a Tourney online. Check out I'd agree with you on the hectic Skating with SNES 95 vs Sega 94 as the SNES feels a bit floaty to me but Sega 95 to me feel like an F1 Race Car with quick and precise moves, Sega 94 feels like I am driving a large semi trailer and everything seems slow. 94 has much better passing and a broader radius to score from which opens the game up a bit. You are 100% correct on the high latency, I'd say 75% of the online games I have played in NHL 95 result in a desync. Have not found a fix to get 95 to work online yet on GENS.
  18. Love the screen name. It is amazing what people find out later in these games. The whole weight bug thing they found in 94 is a game changer. I don't feel that is a weight bug in 95. Yeah Pass shot can be deadly, but I still have not been able to use it consistently. Maybe you guys are a lot better at it, but just being able to be lined up straight and getting the pass shot off quick enough before a defender gets to you is tougher than a cross crease shot. You are right on the south end most of the time when going north the puck gets lifted. You'll have to do a quick vid of that shot. I tried it quick and could not replicate. That's very interesting. All the guys that do goalie control I play against just let it hit the goalie without pressing C. The save motion must let it in. We do press A sometimes for a kamikaze dive. You guys will have to join us for next segathon!
  19. LOL, was waiting for "I Paul Ranhiem'd her"
  20. @clockwise You don't know how deep this goes. Get out while you are still alive....
