  5. I don't understand why a team that finished 15-13, finished their season, should be placed deeper in a play-in series than a team that did NOT finish their season...(Capitalismcapitalismcapitalismcapitalismcapitalismcapitalism).
  6. If they have to have simplified controls be a "feature" then you know something is wrong. Since when did sports games have to be LESS game and MORE simulation? Tecmo Super Bowl and NHL '94 were crafted at a time when technical limitations meant that the gameplay had to be smooth and solid - and the title couldn't rely on flashy gimmicks and "new features" as much... I guess it's all about a level of balance, but I think that NHL 94 was the most balanced mix of game and simulation we had in the gamut of sports games.
  7. That must have been a blockbuster transaction when you changed teams...
  8. On other players, I don't really have a problem with other players - I'm usually so far ahead of the checkpoint that the only thing that bothers me is when someone is rude or tries to con me out of a point or four...of course now that I'm a commissioner, that don't happen. My big thing on organizers is that I personally like to change things mid-stream, but I try not to (and I haven't for gens yet). The biggest issue is having unclear rules - especially on point systems - and making copycat leagues when there are enough others like it. At least do something different each time you make a whole new league.
  9. You should have all the teams move to Canada. Vancouver, Victoria, Whitehorse, Yellowknife, Edmonton, Iqualit, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Hamilton, Windsor, Ottawa, Niagara Falls, Montreal, Quebec, Halifax...what else... And Hawai'i and Alaska would defect from the States and join Canada...so add in Anchorage, and the Honolulu Hockey Hounds!
  10. Pth I'm not not taking Roenick and Belfour.
  11. Chicago Roenick Belfour ...and a mystery player to be named later!!!
  12. confirmed - disappointed - capitalismed.
  13. I feel like I may be on the fence between "B" and "A" league here, but there's something else to consider - I don't know if you're going to be able to get enough people to commit to this to make three divisions - you may want to make them much smaller (as small as, say, 8 a piece) or just go with a Premiership and a single lower division.
  14. I lolready contacted my roflponents. I'M GAME.
  15. I'm still trying to get a hold of dmac for out game, actually
  16. Wow. gihtarman - this should make your 2008 update job 100x easier.
  17. AIM: metzgerism I would like to be in the "B" league if I can.
  18. smomoza your point system is wrong sorry hit me up on AIM and I will regale you with the tale of how overtime loss points, if unchecked, can cause stomach pains, diarrhea, constipation, loose bowels, heartburn, indigestion, and a herpes outbreak (if you have it).
  19. I disagree about shootouts being an exciting end - if we had endless overtime, it'd be far more crazy.Besides, just like in the NHL, if you're tied going late into overtime, you might have more of a tendency to just hold on to the puck to secure your one point - or a 50/50 chance at the shootout. Shootouts are meant for breakaway and penalty training, not for end-of-game action, and if we're going to decide a game instead of let it be tied, might as well have a second overtime instead - it's not like the rink is being used for arena football or box lacrosse afterwards.
