  1. http://www.mediafire.com/?zmekyzqivb4 This might be better for you shaft
  2. Working on the bright and pasty part (I was sure that I sent you a version where the ice was light gray...). I just made a dark lines version that really kinda sucked. I also deleted Luc Bourdon because that made some sense. --- Regarding next season, if you want to update teams that's fine with me - I'd love to also have Minnesota and Nashville in the fray if that's possible - it's kindof a shame that we don't have a 30 team SNES rom. If you really want to go crazy, we could have the league limit be 42 teams, and use three different roms for the league's games (I think you understand what I'm talking about). Line changes were nixed because players wanted just 6 of their favorites on the team.
  3. okay I found some problems with it - namely I didn't test out penalties cause I shortened the timers on those (not the best idea). This one is a beta.
  4. Here's a link to the damn thing, a juiced version of the most recent 2008 rom: http://www.mediafire.com/?mswxlnmrtnc I know it's a free service but I haven't got any other way to get it hosted. Every player's stats are at 99 (6 in NOSE). I haven't tested everything out otherwise, but I wanted to send it out.
  5. Well I was considering the best-of format, but it's really not working out at all. I think that 2 vs. everyone is the LEAST it can be in a serious league. I made a thread about this....
  6. I'd agree with habs but a crow just planted itself outside my window and since I'm an american I gotsta go shoot it so toodaloo.
  7. Chicago 4, Buffalo 3. Haven't played Gens in a while so it's really nice to pick up a victoly like that
  8. I would never have "replacement" players because I would use the system you see in the capitalism league - points for playing, you know? Well in one season of the capitalism league, we've seen that not be the case. That's true, probably your best point I pay you in points!
  9. How about the "2008 NHL94 Company BBQ and World Championship Tournament" If you're a vegetarian we can have a grammar jamboree and dodgeball.
  10. A few years ago I attempted a European Soccer-style promotion/relegation chess league with three divisions. The goal was faster tournaments, more champions, and less people not playing their games. While it did not work then (mainly because there weren't that many people active), I've been thinking about the state of NHL94 and the fact that most of our leagues are split into A-League, B-League, etc., while there is no codified way to actually compete. Well, for the last few hours, I've been considering such a system for a long-term league, with some of my capitalism league concepts. Here is how I would consider the divisional system: TOP LEAGUE: This would consist of the "best" 14 players, and feature a 52-game "first" season, a 20-28 game "second" season (see the capitalism league for details), and some finals (no brackets). 14th would relegate, 13th and 12th would playoff against each other to see who gets relegated. SECOND LEAGUE: The rest of the players are in this one (unless there are sufficient numbers for this to be an intermediate division). Similar rules apply (a first season and a second season). Top 1 player after the second season promotes, and 2nd and 3rd would play-off to see who also gets promoted. If there is a third league, the second league would face similar relegation factors. The point is, would people be interested in this, and is 14 the right number of people for a top-tier league?
  11. ew ot loss points? put me in with chicago. I'll win by convincing my opponents to just play as if it was overtime.
  12. I thought you'd realized that your opinion doesn't count on this matter. I was wrong.
  13. Apparently we need an SNES wing as well
  14. smomoza, that's what I was thinking too - I've been toying around with using 6 for everything, but 5 works almost just as well.
  15. Sometime in the next few weeks, I would like to begin the first Genesis "Capitalism League." For those of you who haven't seen the SNES version of this competition, there are a few key differences between this and most other leagues this site houses: 1) There are no checkpoints, only one deadline for each stage of the competition. 2) Nobody gets replaced unless they are aggregiously behind, and someone is waiting for their spot. 3) 30 teams, 30 coaches. 4) Win = 4 pts, OT Win = 3 pts, Tie = 2 pts, OT Loss = 2 pts, Loss = 1 pt (yes, there are points for playing). 5) 100% stats, even-teams ROM. A lot of people find the drudgery of waiting for a tournament to complete incredibly irritating - the capitalism league prevents this in a big way. I'd like to gauge interest in this sort of a tournament - the SNES version of this worked very well (nearly 1,250 games played since the league started 2.5 months ago). Also, if you are interested but there is something that you don't like or you have any questions, please post in this thread.
  16. OT points as they are implemented in the NHL are stupid. See my capitalism league for details.
  17. In other news, Mario Lemieux is reserving tee times throughout summer.
  18. That would take about 30 seconds in NOSE. I suggest you download the ROM and NOSE from the downloads page and spend the extra few minutes to learn how to use that program instead of having one of us do it.
  19. I never played online with it but a while back (I think it must have been at least 7 years ago) I stopped using it because it was inferior to zsnes. One of the better emulators, but not the best, IMO.
  20. Sounds like cap league to me.
  21. Actually it's an issue of promoting the league and getting more games played. We had 999 league games played in 2 months.Or, the state is greater than the individual! GDP GDP!
  22. now I'm getting paid $22.50 an hour.
