HFD (BoKnowsNHL94) -160 Bo been on fire last few months of 2012 and has found his new game, while new comer plabax has been a pleasant surprise and has perfected his pass shot skills. Expect a tight series despite the difference in W-L records. Prediction: LAK in 7 +160 7. BUF (swos) +120 2. CGY (flasox24) -120 Two grizzled veterans matchup here in a rare first round series. This looks much more like a 4-5 matchup as the skill level here is very high. Swos will need to find back of net as BUF is one of the lowest scoring teams in the playoffs, but expect swos to be able to turn it on come playoff time. Prediction BUF +120 in 7 6. SJS (houly) +198 3. DET (HABS) -198 I believe this is the first time these two have met in the playoffs and it will be an interesting series. Habs has been on a notorious Perennial playoffchoker run in the last few seasons of Blitz/GDL so this could very well come right down to the wire if Houly can find a way to shutdown #99. Prediciton DET -198 in 6 5. QUE (Freydey32) -184 4. ATL (TomKabs93) +184 Wow a very intriging first round matchup, Frey the vet who always goes on some deep playoff runs and Tomkabs the new comer whos come out of nowhere to shock the world with his great season. We'll see if he can translate it into playoff success. Frey knows how to turn it on during this time so this is probably the toughest matchup for tomkabs. Prediction QUE in 6 Mark Lesser Conference 8. TOR (eggink444) +15000 1. AMD (Carse) -15000 Eggink is a new coach and has had a solid inaugural GDL season but being 15 games below .500 vs a juggernaut in carse who is 38 games above .500 and I cant remember when hes lost in the first round... this has a making of a short and possibly ugly series. Good luck to eggink. Predicition ANH -15000 in 4 7. WPG (kgman) -179 2. VAN (Zalex) -179 KG stuck in some third world country! Will he come back? Will he have HIV? These are large questions that loom over this series. Zalex has torn up this season going an impressive 42-8-4 and the second highest win% to carse. Kg has been effective for the games he has played. Should be a solid series that goes down to the wire. Kg has been away from any playoffs for quite a while however so its a crapshoot if rust will affect him. Prediction VAN -179 in 6 6. TBL (da94wookie) +260 3. NYR (kingraph) -260 Raph is one dangerous coach, fresh off a run to the finals in Blitz he will be looking for the same success here. An impressive regular seaosn with the third best record overall. Da94wookie is more than capable of holding his own vs anybody, if he can keep the games tight and somehow get past raphs super stymied defence he may have a shot. Prediction NYR -260 in 6 5. NYI (kupuck19) +160 4. CHI (dcicon5148) -160 Another nice matchup here, both coaches are close in skill level. Kupuck has risen recently and been able to hang with the big boys. While dcicon has proven in the past he can play at a high level.
