smozoma
'94 Finals...I'm assuming nobody from the from the forums made this, based on the gameplay: https://www.twitch.tv/retroworldseries/v/83464644 Note: the finals starts at around the 10 minute mark.It looks like a really nice venue and event, but the three day nature of it really precludes any out-of-towners. His technique and presence would have made my hands a little too greasy and he would have easily been able to get into my head. It's a good thing i stayed as far away as possible from Houston, I would have had a much longer plane ride home.

smozoma
The commentator said that it wasn't the finals? My bad. I thought they were showing "the" final of each event in the video (because the video is mis-labeled as some other game). There are 3 or 4 games in the video? I was on my phone and twitch is brutal on mobile.
halifax
I'll shed some light. The tournament had 5 players. They played a round robin on friday. The elimination games were scheduled for Saturday and the semis and finals were scheduled for sunday. In a lot of ways this format made little sense to me in that regard (5 players spread out over three days to finish), however the object of the entire event is to compete in a bunch of games over the span of the weekend. It's not geared for someone who just wants to play 94. The games you see in the video were the 5 players ranked after the round robin. So the first game is the 4 v 5 game(in theory the only elimination game scheduled for saturday). It was a father/son combo you see in the first game. I think common sense took place as the remaining games followed soon there after(instead of making the 4th place guy to wait a day just to play one semi game). So then it was the 2v3 and 1v4 games and then the final game. Having said that, I caught the rbi baseball final(best of 3). It was great to watch two 'pros' go at it,and the commentary was enjoyable to listen to. The stream was well done for all the events, and I thought the trophies they got were pretty neat. Overall, it's probably a decent event if you like lots of retro games, but not so much if you only like one.
mattyku
Order of games in the previous video was as follows: 5v4 (play-in after round robin pool play), 3v2 (semis), 4v1 (semis). Here's a link to the final: https://www.twitch.tv/retroworldseries/v/83473647?t=06m23s (I am PizzaBoy.) Some nice one-timers, too. Join a league, you'll do fine! ("oh another offsides!" *cringe*)
Edge of '94 Midwest
Congrats, and yes offsides was brutal to behold.
smozoma
Were there cash prizes for this? If so, we can update our [E-Sports Earnings](http://www.esportsearnings.com/games/416-nhl-94) page. Need the prize amounts and player names and/or nicknames. Player nationality as well (I assume all American at this one?).

Cool, is the information of the winner's name or nickname and prize amount available online? (the e-Sports Earnings website requires an online reference for it to count)
