  1. alright, we're definitely not going to accurately rate players from every country, that's just crazy. good luck getting accurate ratings for norway's second line. c'mon, man. let's go with the original idea. within a day or two i'll have guidelines for how i want you to rate your teams. we're still looking for 2 more guys to get to 16.
  2. why is there no point? it's still a nice change from using regular teams. we'll figure it out.
  3. BO is in at 12. Looking for 4 more, which would be awesome. If we don't get 4, we can start once the rosters are finished.
  4. Guys, we've got 11 so far, if nats is in...we only need one more to start a season. Come on and get in on the action. Looks like so far we've got great competition, lots of vets, so this should work.
  5. congrats to both a yas...good season, time for 7!
  6. As much as we all love being able to pick a team full of guys that look like Chunk, from the Goonies, Blades of Steel is the better game, IMO. Obviously it's much more realistic looking, aside from Edmonton's (?) pink and green sweaters. Plus, FIGHTING! How sick is it that only the guy that loses the fight gets the penalty? Don't forget the theme music, either!
  7. yes, that's kind of what we'd look for if we were to pick our own ratings...like said in the first thread, it would be based on a total amount of attribute points, which is obviously, still TBD.
  8. Correct, Sim League is not fixed ratings, but reduced. Fixed ratings would be a system where every player at every position would be the exact same rating. This way, it's all down to the coach to play well. For everyone calling teams that they want, just wanted to let you all know again, that there will be a team draft. This way, everyone has an equal chance to get the teams that they want. If people aren't into the proposed ratings system, perhaps we can go back to the original idea. My only concern with this would be the time it would take to get the league going.
  9. I can try to get VC to do it if that's what everyone wants. What's the other fixed ratings league?
  10. Alright, let's get this going. The graphics are finished. What I'm thinking is that we should change the format to a fixed ratings league. The choose your own ratings system, originally proposed would likely send VC to an early grave if he had to deal with it and it seems like it would take forever to get the league going. Not sure exactly what the ratings will be, yet. RULES: 1. Period Length - 5 Minutes 2. Penalties - On/No Offsides 3. Line Changes - OFF 4. Overtime - 5 Minutes 5. Points System - Win = 3 pts OT Win = 2 pts OT Loss = 1 pt. Loss = 0 pts. 6. Further rules (number of games, divisions, playoff format) will be decided after all players have signed up. 7. This league will not die. Website will be updated often (almost every day). The website is up and functional. IIHF 94/10 SIGN UP RIGHT HERE: 1. Vocally Caged 2. nats 3. frey 4. iceguy 5. tuba 6. donny 7. habs 8. IQ 9. FPB 10. houlanov 11. beavers 12. bo ...and if there's interest. 13. zalex 14. hokkee 15. ___________ 16. ___________
  11. Definitely not the only American that followed the tourney. BTW, I think it's hilarious that Pepsi came up with that stupid marketing campaign. Seems Pepsi forgot to check with Canadian fans before they decided to plaster it all over Canada.
  12. hey guys, anyone seen sdogg around lately? i haven't seen him online in a long time.
  13. Game 1: Mav 6-5 Game 2: Mav 6-5 Game 3: Beavers 6-4 Game 4: Beavers 5-3 Game 5: Beavers 8-4 Beavers wins series 3-2
  14. nice. not looking for buttsecks, just annoyed at how much time i've wasted trying to replay games.
  15. That's annoying, too, but mainly in leagues where stats are kept, i.e. GDL. People also know right away what you're doing, and you don't sign out of AIM for 3 hours or more after you do it.
  16. played something like 6 games last night. looks good!
  17. The problem is that you've continued to do stupid things. How do you "hit the wrong button" after i score, which instantly drops you from the game and logs you out of AIM? Never heard of such a button before. Even if such a magical button did exist, it would be common courtesy to come back on AIM and let me know what happened. I think what you're doing is trying to save face in front of the entire community by lying again, because it doesn't take long for people to get tired of a player that constantly "desynchs," has "power outages," and whose "computer crashes." It's the same story, different day. Whatever your excuse, I'm tired of buying it and having to revisit games that should have been finished already.
  18. Dear Mav, This is the 3rd time we've had serious issues playing against each other. Three times, just against me, not to mention the countless others that you've created problems for. Your inability to understand simple rules of a given tournament/league is unmatched and your terrible habit of quitting games, in which you are trailing, far exceeds any other I have ever encountered. Seriously, just don't join leagues/tourneys anymore. What a pain in the ass it is to deal with people like you. Love, Beavers For any of you wondering what the deal is, these multiple previous incidents should show you what he's all about. http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?showtopic=11026
