  1. goodbyeccha, wnhlinfo should be in same folder where nhl95 is installed. That is the folder where hockey.exe is. Wnhlinfo "see" only that one nhl-game, which installation folder it is copied. For example, if you have other EA nhl-games which wnhlinfo supports, like nhl96, you have to put wnhlinfo and all dll's also to nhl96 installation folder if you want to edit nhl96. I hope this is simpy problem in your case. Another thing what you can try is install nhl95 in "simple" directory because dos supports only 8 char in directory names. For example D:\nhl95.
  2. Hi, I dont know what kind of updated version do you mean? Some rosters and new jerseys have been made, you can check last section of this post http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/15692-nhl95pc-editing-tools-and-tutorials/ I quess people who did run nhl95.com just get tired to run their league and they didnt want to pay for a domain anymore... but I am just guessing here.
  3. Maybe your anti-virus software is causing this? I use Avast and it somehow thinks that part of NHLinfo's dll's are "suspicious" and does just like what happened to you. Try to change your anti-virus software settings that all NHLinfo's dll's are ok to run. EDIT: Yes, Avast gives now "Win32:Evo-gen [susp]" even if I try to download it. Hmm that might be a problem if people want to dowload NHLinfo and they have Avast installed and on. I just checked all files from nhlinfo-package on www.virustotal.com and everything was clean.
  4. Is there any need if I look for this same thing for career stats also?
  5. I was asked to explain how to change team name in NHL95PC with NHLinfo. Here you go: First open NHLinfo and select if you want to edit default databases or season. Teams stats should be opening there by default, if not, you can change it from left corner selecting teams as viewing mode. Press couple of times left arrow key to move left until screen changes to teams miscellaneous. Select team name from "Team (Long)"-column which you want to change, in this case Tamba Bay Lightning: When selected, just press enter and following window will open: Then just change team name, in this case I change it to Colorado Rockies: Click ok and you are back on teams miscellaneous. Now change same way Team (Short) to Colorado: Note that you cannot change value on ID-column, for example in this case from TB to CL. NHLinfo dont allow that, it only shows ID. Anyhow, I dont think game show it anywhere so it actually does not matter. Save it from bottom selection of the screen. Then you can open NHL95PC and see if that team name has changed, like in scouting report screen: If you want to change logos in scouting report screen, I have written little tutorial here: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/3019-nhl-95-pc-a-hackers-dream-anyone-play-it/page-6#entry126083 That applies to some other graphics also, which you can access with NHLinfo.
  6. Did Slapshot67 ever made 90-00 roms? I remember that on site ROMs were 71-89.
  7. I am looking for these too. If anyone have these, please send them to kibamail@gmail.com.

  11. You can change the team name with NHLinfo-editor. For example if you want to change Winnipeg to Phoenix. To change short version of name like WPG to PHX, you have to use hex-editor and in that case I am not sure if game works properly any more.
  12. Thanks for the new rosters!
  13. Ok, here are my thoughts of this. You have a lot of enthusiasm to run a league, but now I think you hurry on these things, like they could be build in a day. I think this need more careful planning and lot of implementation before league can even start to find GMs. Properly build league offers a lot of things to GMs and that takes a lot of time to built. You should consider following things there: Format: Who can really sim games. You need to clarify that. The best solution is that people who do not participate as GMs on your league, will do this. How many teams goes to playoffs? You should also consider how to offer games as live to GMs. You can run league just by simming and posting the results, but people may want more, live games. Taking videos of games should be backup, not only option to see game for example from youtube as you mentioned in other thread. Statistics: Do you have code ready for statistics? People will want to see statistics, like in Bliz league. So, if you dont have code ready for make statistics to league web-page you have to code it. It would take a lot of time and effort. There is also injuries and suspensions, those should also be added to code. You should have these things ready before you think you can start to ask people to join your league. Team Selection: This is still bit vague to me (my idea was not awesome as you wrote, it has been done earlier in many leagues ). I didnt mean auction to teams. I think if there is money involved, each player should have salary and all GMs should have certain amount of money to spend to offers. Offers can be made many formats, but one good (and fast) way to do it is simultaneous offers. This all requires more work before league could start. Roster moves: "I am limiting trades for the season to as many as you want, so people don't start the season with an amazing team with Lemieux, Roenick, and Belfour, and end the season with another amazing team with Gretzky, Mogilny, and Lafontaine." What does this actually means? Trades are limited somehow...ok, but how that stops building a team of stars? You should clarify how actually trading happens in league, what are the possible limitations, when deadline comes etc. Registration: You should really try to run 1 league first and see how that goes. Dont try to run multiple leagues at same time on first run, running a league takes lot of time and effort if done properly. People would not like to see league stop when commissioner doesnt have anymore time or energy to run it. You should also prepare yourself that there is not much of interest towards simming-based leagues, although I hope I am wrong. Good simming league offers: - Easy access to large amount of statistics. All stats, injuries, suspensions etc. - Easy way to make offers, trade, send lines etc. Sending lines should take injuries and suspension to consideration. - Communication between GMs. One for not real-time, like forum and one for real-time like some chat-program. - Live games where GMs can watch and communicate at same time. This can be implemented with two different software of course. I dont say you have to agree with me and you dont have to implement all I just listed here. But these things make league more interesting and that way more GMs would like to join it. What I suggest that you take a lot of time and put these things in order, this could be even take months, not build in a day. You may even lost interest when you see how much work this is if you run it properly. There is nothing bad if that happens if you havent promise people anything at that point. So, dont start enrolling to league before it is really ready to run. Good luck with your league!
  14. Ok, figure rules and other stuff ready and we will seen then what is the situation
  15. I understand the way of picking first 3 team per GM is fast way to do draft. But I still wonder what is connection to AJ's lines? Can we decide our own lines or not?
  16. Is there a way to check injuries on save state? For suspensions what we did in KOHL was that if player got 2 min penalty in situation where other player got injury, that caused suspension. We did randomly generate number of suspension games for that player. For recording games, isnt there a emulation version which saves all movement in game and it can be played back on emulator? I just remember that it was possible on some emulator. Why should we use AJ's line combos? Isnt there possibility to make your own lines to games? How does team prices correlate to AJ's line combos and that way we have more familiarity to our teams? I dont understand the connection here...
  17. Instead of make a price for a team, maybe price for a each player? Would of course take more time to draft all players as in fantasy draft if we draft in turns. Thats why we did it at same time. There is also possibility to stream games, so all can watch them as live and we could gather for example to irc-channel for commenting. Thats what we did in KOHL and it was fun. What about injuries and suspensions? Any idea to fit those in?
  18. I am interested of this and I know about 10 other coaches from our KOHL manager-league who would potentially be interested of this. How many coaches is max. on this? What are default online rules? You are planning to sim all games by yourself or does other coaches do that also? I would like to know more info about drafting, how does coaches pick up those 3 teams, in which order etc. This is of course fast way to do drafting, but not so equal. In our league we have salaries on players and drafting is done by offering better salaries to players. Offers are done by same time, without knowing what other coaches offered, we have php-script for that. Biggest offer wins the player. There is couple of offer-rounds, usually 4 in our league. But I quess your way would work too. Will there be statistics on league web-page, like in Bliz?
  19. Thanks for the tip, but smozoma's info on other thread already answered to that problem. I just wonder if it is possible to make regular game like playoff game, so that there would be possibility to multiple OT periods...
  20. Have anyone done stat extractor which outputs information to text format, for example in csv-files?
  21. Is there way to change overtime length on regular game in NHL94, so it will be like in playoffs game? Like game would not end up until OT goal is scored. If not, is there possibility to change regular game overtime minutes in that one OT period? EDIT: Oh yes, smozoma has already figured out the latter: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/13621-how-to-change-the-period-lengths/
  22. CoachMac, did you made WBX-version of NHL93 Gens?
  23. You can save lines to db with NHLinfo. Here is link to download: http://members.shaw.ca/dsgambelluri/nhlinfo.zip
