  1. Exactly, and then next year you can put the next one on the same cartridge, over and over as many as you want. That is what an Everdrive does, you put the rom or roms on an SD card, insert into everdrive, and then put the overdrive into your Genesis.
  2. No you can take it right off of this site. You can put 100 zillion different roms on it.
  3. I have played 140 League Games in the last 2 months, with 23 different coaches. I have had an incredibly good time, and none of this is directed at any one person, so don't anyone get butt-hurt over this. #1 Don't stop my music! I worked hard to score and I don't need your BS stick tap to tell me I made a nice play, especially when it is really a BS way to take a timeout and try and kill my momentum. Now with that said, if you actually use your ONE timeout, then it is fine as that is IN THE GAME. Also if it was in classic and on the Power play and you want to get your regular line-up back in that is fine. It is especially annoying when you do it in PRL where I have spent hours getting the music RIGHT, and matched up with the right teams. I like the MUSIC! I am so sick, I even like your music, though I will try and check every guy on your team while it plays. Moving forward if you do it to me, I will do it after every single goal you ever score for the rest of your life. If you are in PRL, I will impose Draft Penalties and give you broken bobbleheads if you ever win one. #2 Don't complain about lag when I win and say nothing when you do. It just makes you sound silly. I live in the Rural West and am about 2000 miles away from most of you. I deal with lag every game. I think we all do. I have no idea how bad it is on your end, all I know is no one ever complained when they won. Now if it is unplayable to you say something, but don't wait until after I win. #3 Let me see my splash screens and player cards on the start up screen. KingRaph and I worked hard to make those awesome things. I want to admire my work. #4 Don't complain that you didn't know who my line-up was. See above if you watch the starting line-ups you'll know and I do actually watch them for this reason as well. I post all number changes and why at the beginning of the PRL Season. Ray Bourque is #7 in PRL and always will be when I have him. The first year I had him I also had Turgeon and changed Ray's number because he wore 7 in his early years in Boston and I like it better (I hate hockey numbers above 35), so when you are wondering who that defensemen is who is flattening everybody on your team, ripping snapshots, and I'm skating him up the ice on every rush, it is not Michel Petit from Calgary its Ray Ray. I also have Dino Ciccarelli and he is wearing number 20 as he did when he played in Minnesota, I let Ruutu keep 22, so if your not sure my center is Dino, not Bob Sweeney. Again, no one complained until they lost. #5 Save your excuses when you lose. Just say GG. Now if you are guilty of any of these sins, go home and write you are sorry a 100 zillion times!
  4. No. Sim data determines the winner, and it is the one and only determiner. It is similar in TSB. Notice in the Original Game how often the Pens advance, as they have great sim data. The Sim data works like this: Each team has an offensive rating (0-7) with 7 being the best and a defensive rating (0-7) with 0 being the best. The Pens are 7/1 which is the best in the Original game. Basically the top 3 GF teams from the 1993 got 7, the next 3 got six, etc...down to the bottom who got 0. Then the Top GA teams got 0, the next 3 got 1, etc....down to the bottom who got 7. I use a similar break down when setting sim data in my roms. Like in an Original 6 rom I will go 6,5,4,3,2,1 for Offense based on GF from the season. 1,2,3,4,5,6 for Defense based on GA from the season. I don't use 0 and 7 in my Original 6 roms. This number is also used for the games being played in other games scores and highlights as well as playoffs. Fun to experiment with for an like make every team 7 on offense (best) and 7 on defense (worst). Watch how high scoring all the sim games will be. Those numbers do not affect actual game play when a human controls like PP/PK and Home/Away, but still are usually equalized in custom roms, just in case we are wrong.
  5. All-time Canadiens would be better and maybe a couple others.
  6. I've thought about this..... What teams would you suggest when you say any given team? How far back would you go? Just seems a little to overwhelming, but with the 100 years of the NHL and the 100 greatest players it has crossed my mind quite a few times. Even my decade teams frustrated me to some extent. As always it is the rating the players to create a fun rom, that is not just a bunch of maxed out clones. That said maybe making it "even steven" would be the way to go. Where is the one you found. Can you post a link?
  7. Yes. The Slapshot rom has 2 versions, The one called Slapshot5v5 is an normal rom, but even steven rom, all the players are equal, both teams are equal, and all advantages are taken out of the game. The Slapshot2v2 version is just as it says 2v2 with even teams of the Chiefs vs Bulldogs. Dying to play this one, with some guys.
  8. Just visited with Viz on discord and was thinking this was his problem. Question. Why do we even include the other version? gens-netplaysave.exe
  9. Joel, Thanks for the comments, I hope you enjoy the roms. Unfortunately, I am bad about keeping things and did not give my roms version numbers. Some are lost forever. For the longest time I could never settle in on how to rate the players, so my roms were always changing. I finally created the template posted on the first page, and was able to have a consistent way to rank that I was happy with and we are using the roms in the Premium Retro League and the ratings are working out well. So, they will not change again, I am 99% sure we could call these FINAL. 1952, 1956, 1961, 1966, 1967, 1970, and 1980. I would just trash any other version of those roms and replace with the ones currently posted. I still have unfinished versions of: 1963, 1973, 1975, 1976, 1984, 1987, 1988 that were posted at one time or another, but currently are not posted until I update the ratings using my template. Plus I had my All-Decade Roms. Sorry, I am Crazy and OCD,.Enjoy the roms!
  10. Thanks, I fixed it. We so often just focus on Drafts and the beginning of Seasons, I feel like we should do more with Playoffs, Championships, and the End of Seasons. Also, so much cool info on 94online, that is never compiled or used. I made this based on what I most like to look at and give a synopsis of Seasons. Maybe a Drunk Brutus Post-season Video would be in Order. i would love to see his Post-season analysis even more than his Draft.
  11. I have added into the above post an Almanac, that includes Year by Year Records, All-Star Teams, MVP's, and Superlatives.

  15. Blasphemy! and it gives you a bump come playoff time! Seriously, I love ties adds a nice element to the standings regular season strategy and makes playoff OT so much more meaningful when it wasn't around all season. PS, you have some wicked nice stats there Ice! Just an addition to Smoz's analysis. PRL is proving that 0/0 is the best setting if you do not want H/A advantages. In Season 2 Home Teams were 43-45-12. I didn't think i would like eliminating Home Ice, but with the small sample of games (just 2 against each coach for 20 total) it is nice knowing you are not at a disadvantage in either. My Regular Roms will continue to use H/A advantages but for leagues it is nice to have it eliminated, IMO.

  23. Coach Mac becomes the 30th player All-time to reach 100 Wins. Far and away the worst win % of anyone in the 100 win club at .260 A tale of perseverance My first 94 league was as a replacement in GDL. I went 1-53-2. Not much better this year in B2. (Tough Group) But, 94 is so much like Golf, you hit one good shot and you are like oh wow, I am awesome. I've got it now, before shanking the next 10.
