  1. I've had bad luck taking apart controllers to tune them up. Probably didn't pay close enough attention but I think I made them worse after messing with them. Also word to the wise be nice to your old segas. Have about a dozen of them and felt they were indestructible like a tank, but I've lost about 20% in the last year. Old age is catching up with them
  2. You got it Neo, there is no spoon
  3. Looking forward to watching the stream fellas. Looks like it's going to be a great time
  4. It's on my bucket list for sure. Wish all these tourneys were around 10 years ago when I didn't have 3 kids and a mortgage
  5. Stream should be good this year as you have to play with a president mask on. Obama v Dick Cheney is going to be a good one. I'm going full heal with a Hillary Mask another guy is going as Kim Jong Il
  6. heads up doing our Segathon again this Sat 3pm start but chair smashing normally doesnt start till late. I think I may have sound fixed as well. https://www.twitch.tv/segathonsov Also have are new rankings up to honor Presidents day with our Top 45. http://www.segathon.com/
  7. So team selection is as follows. Each team plays 32 games You get to use every team including all stars once, Thats 28 games To stretch to 32, you get to use both allstar teams 1 more time and the ducks and oilers agian Team selection is done before hand in secret to increase strategy and subterfuge Do you play with a great team against superior opponents to ensure a win? Or do you use a superior team against a weak opponent to add to team goals Scoring 2 Points for a Win 1 Point for a Tie 1/2 Point for a Shutout 1/4 Point for Penalty Shot Attempted 1/4 Point for Injuring a Player for the whole game 1/2 Point for a 5 Goal Win 1 Point for a 10 Goal Win 1/4 Point for getting all 3 Stars of the Game 3 Points for Most Goals by a Team Total Team goals and extra points are big so sometimes its better to squash an inferior player than to narrowly beat a superior one Example: If an inferior player is expected to get blown out and is losing 5-0 but scores a goal late to go to 5-1 the point swing goes from a 3.25 pt win (2pts for win + 1/2 for shutout + 1/2 for 5 goal win + 1/4 for 3 stars game) to a 2 pt win as the rest of pts are erased. 8. Wow you are going all out Troy! Going to see if I have enough Kitchen Passes saved up to go to this.
  9. Thought I'd share my work here since I spent far too much time on it If you every were looking to do a Ryder Cup Style team event with 3 teams of 4 players each where everyone plays everyone on opposing teams once while maximizing 6 Sega Stations here you go TEAMS TEAM 98 Nick Brandon Moto Hollywood TEAM 97 Jud Blair Andy Dan TEAM CULT Ren Doug CultAndy Janio GAME LIST GAME Player Team Opponant Team 1 Nick ASE Blair TB 2 Brandon ASW Jud DET 3 Andy ASE Janio WPG 4 Dan DAL Doug LA 5 Moto STL Ren NYR 6 Hollywood SJ CultAndy ASE 7 Nick QUE CultAndy CGY 8 Moto EDM Dan ASE 9 Hollywood PIT Doug NYI 10 Andy EDM Ren PHI 11 Jud EDM Janio NJ 12 Brandon TOR Blair PIT 13 Nick PHI Andy TOR 14 Brandon ASW Dan VAN 15 Jud WAS CultAndy QUE 16 Blair QUE Doug DAL 17 Moto CHI Janio BUF 18 Hollywood BUF Ren ASW 19 Nick ANA Janio WAS 20 Brandon WPG Doug ANA 21 Hollywood EDM Blair PHI 22 Moto MTL Jud ASW 23 Andy HTF CultAndy SJ 24 Dan SJ Ren EDM 25 Brandon VAN Andy MTL 26 Blair WPG CultAndy TOR 27 Moto LA Doug ASW 28 Nick ANA Ren TB 29 Dan ANA Janio ASE 30 Hollywood CGY Jud FLA 31 Brandon DET Ren OTT 32 Andy NYR Doug HTF 33 Moto NJ CultAndy VAN 34 Blair ASW Janio PIT 35 Nick ASE Jud BOS 36 Hollywood DAL Dan NYI 37 Nick HTF Doug STL 38 Dan STL CultAndy EDM 39 Jud NJ Ren CHI 40 Hollywood TB Andy LA 41 Moto BOS Blair ANA 42 Brandon OTW Janio ANA 43 Nick WAS Dan CGY 44 Jud BUF Doug DET 45 Hollywood NYR Janio BOS 46 Moto NYI Andy OTW 47 Brandon FLA CultAndy FLA 48 Blair CHI Ren MTL ROUNDS Round 1 Nick ASE Blair TB Brandon ASW Jud DET Andy ASE Janio WPG Dan DAL Doug LA Moto STL Ren NYR Hollywood SJ CultAndy ASE Round 2 Nick QUE CultAndy CGY Moto EDM Dan ASE Hollywood PIT Doug NYI Andy EDM Ren PHI Jud EDM Janio NJ Brandon TOR Blair PIT Round 3 Nick PHI Andy TOR Brandon ASW Dan VAN Jud WAS CultAndy QUE Blair QUE Doug DAL Moto CHI Janio BUF Hollywood BUF Ren ASW Round 4 Nick ANA Janio WAS Brandon WPG Doug ANA Hollywood EDM Blair PHI Moto MTL Jud ASW Andy HTF CultAndy SJ Dan SJ Ren EDM Round 5 Brandon VAN Andy MTL Blair WPG CultAndy TOR Moto LA Doug ASW Nick ANA Ren TB Dan ANA Janio ASE Hollywood CGY Jud FLA Round 6 Brandon DET Ren OTT Andy NYR Doug HTF Moto NJ CultAndy VAN Blair ASW Janio PIT Nick ASE Jud BOS Hollywood DAL Dan NYI Round 7 Nick HTF Doug STL Dan STL CultAndy EDM Jud NJ Ren CHI Hollywood TB Andy LA Moto BOS Blair ANA Brandon OTW Janio ANA Round 8 Nick WAS Dan CGY Jud BUF Doug DET Hollywood NYR Janio BOS Moto NYI Andy OTW Brandon FLA CultAndy FLA Blair CHI Ren MTL
  10. Congrats @slapshot67 NHL 95 Community doesn't give bud of the year but we would name any child produced in 2017 " @kingraph " to honor his work on NHL 95 team rom. But since we all have vasectomies now.. I guess we just will do a shot in his honor.
  11. Good luck with the edits!
  12. Thanks for all your hard work on this @kingraph I'll try to find some big brains to keep the project moving forwards.
  13. Raph is correct. The smaller TV's are great for hauling. Have a 13" that looks great and doesn't kill me hauling. My favorite is a 19" black panasonic from the late 90's pretty light still and a bit bigger. Picture looks like it's made for 16bit. Some of the off brand 20" are almost 50 lbs too. anything over 25" will give you a backyotomy The best place to get CRT's is the dumpster after a retro gaming tourney. Half the guys leave them there at event
  14. Minnesota! My two cents If you want to get the biggest turn out. Maybe we do one of those member maps things and see where everyone is located and pick the location you can get the most people that could make a road trip out of it. Lot easier to get away for the weekend without a plane ticket. Not to keep bringing up Tecmo, but the big event stays in Madison every year because they get a ton of locals. Need locals to get the number up. But Sometimes bigger isn't always better. I'd say take your core group of buds that will travel and pick an awesome city with a NHL game playing that weekend and any extra locals that show up is just cherry on top.
  15. Awesome now put nipples on the chick behind the net...
  16. Brass Bonanza on a continues loop!
  17. I think Facebook catches the most fish now for Tecmo Bowl. So i'd promote a bunch there. Facebook's a double edge sword though as I like to keep my video game nerd addiction separate
  18. TecmoMadison makes a weekend out of it. But the tournaments are not connected and the big tecmo tourney is all done on Saturday. Friday is a hang out, register and get in some exhibitions in and then I threw a NHL and NBA Jam side tourney. The night before really adds to making new "buds". Normally day of the main tourney people get butterflies and are not as talkative before the games start and new player may feel a little less welcomed. I really think the professional stream put on in vegas is what's going to bring in more players to next one. Having hosts commenting on the stream really legitimatizes the tourney. Great job!
  19. Got to try my hand at 95. This is something we should promote on social media to gain some buzz for the site.
  20. Also no lie one of our Segathon Buds named his new baby boy Jagr for a first name. I s**t you not! Makes sense the house that held over a Half Dozen Segathon's "The Palace of River Hills" would have a kid now living there named after Jagr. Just weird to to think a crib now sits where two 20" tvs sat blaring the NHL 95 theme music.
