donnybrook Posted April 8, 2009 Report Share Posted April 8, 2009 (edited) ok so i know nhl94 is the hockey game, and i might be speaking blasphemy here but, i thought it would be a fun change of pace to host a tournment for ice hockey on the nintendo entertainment system. Depending on the amount of people intrested i will either do a best of 3 series set up or double elimination set up. there are 6 teams to choose from in the game. USA Sweeden Poland Canada USSR Czech Republic Rules: Speed will be on setting 3, and time 7 so the first 6 to sign up get in the tourny. unless we can get 12 people in on this, witch i doubt, then we would do 2 different 6 team double elimination brackets and the champ of each bracket would face each other. as far as emulators go, i think the simplest nintendo emulator for online play would probaly be Jnes, but if the 2 parties playing agree to a use a different emulator, all the power to you. and for the rom, when we get everything set up i will post a rom for us to all use. you can download Jnes at this link http://jabosoft.com/?categoryid=3 so if your intrested post your AIM screenname and the team you want, you can only double pick a team if every team has been picked once. hopefully we can get this going by the weekend. donnybrook Posted April 9, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 (edited) ok so we got 8 and thats where its gonna have to stay. i jumbled all of us in the same randomizer jesus used for his league to determine seeding. it turned out like this 1 Houlanov 2 shaftman 3 habs 4 donnybrook 5 vocally caged 6 jesus 7 Freydey 8 RWD iceguy heres the bracket: it is double elimination, that means, you lose twice and your out. pretty simple. **bracket moved to first post** as far as teams go, it doesnt matter, just pick who ever you want for that game. i wanted to keep teams but that doesnt seem possiable at this point. so thats pretty much it, play the games, post the scores here and ill update the bracket every night. have fun! donnybrook Posted April 9, 2009 Author Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 i use nestopia from time to time, it does look better than jnes but nestopia has a tendency to crash in netplay. but it really doesnt matter, there both easy to use and download. it just depends on what emulator you and your opponent deicide on.
