Canucks Over Sabres in 5.

Other predictions:

Halak gets traded back to the Habs for Carey Price.

GA becomes the official sponsor of the NHL.

Carse gets signed by the islanders over 18 years for 120 million....then has deal nixed because hokkee made too many trades and somehow this circumvented the cap.

As crazy as that sounds, Hokkee will agree witn you.

My predictions

Atlantic: New Jersey, though it'll be a dogfight

Northeast: Buffalo, but Boston may be close behind.

Southeast: Washington

East: Washington

Central: Chicago. 2nd option is Detroit

Northwest: Vancouver, if they can live up to the hype. There's also Colorado and maybe Calgary

Pacific: It could go either way, but I'll give the edge to San Jose.

West: Chicago

Washington in 7

Surprise teams this year:

Los Angeles. I like their team and they have youth. They'll play hard, that is certain.

St. Louis. They will creep up on some teams and take them by surprise.

Montreal. You'll want to see how they will carry themselves after their surprise playoff run last season.

Tampa Bay. St. Louis and LeCavallier will play with chips on their shoulders, and then there's Stamkos.

Nashville. A team to watch, due to their consistency. But can they make the big jump for a high seed?
