statto
SNES International Cup Tournament Welcome to the 2008 SNES International Cup! This Cup will use the full version of the juiced international rom found here: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?showtopic=8006 SIGNING UP -- IMPORTANT!!! Pick TWO TEAMS - one from the A list and one from the B list. More than one player can pick a team from the A list. The players will go into a draw and be selected randomly in a public draw. If you pick only a team in the A-list and lose the draw, I'll ask you if you want a team from the B-list. You don't have to pick an A-list team if you just want to play with a team on the B list. Once you pick a team on the B list, consider that team to be your team. If you lose in the A-list draw and a B-team you want becomes available, let me know and I will make every attempt to move you to that team. All the player stats are the same because it's juiced, but I'm anticipating more demand for the A-list teams. A LIST Canada - In the draw: metzgerism(1)/xgrad06(1)/drinnagh/gihtarman(1) Sweden - In the draw: Bob Kudelski Russia - In the draw: Houlanov / metzgerism(2) United States - In the draw: dethrox / vinniersmith Czech Republic Finland In the draw: xgrad06(2) / gihtarman(2) B LIST Austria: Belarus: Houlanov China: drinnagh Croatia: Denmark: Estonia: France: Germany: Great Britain: gihtarman Hungary: Italy: vinniersmith Japan: metzgerism Kazakhstan: Latvia: Lithuania: Netherlands: Norway: Poland: sarcdoc23 Slovakia: xgrad06 Slovenia: Switzerland: Bob Kudelski Ukraine: dethrox FORMAT The format will be decided based on the number of players who want to enter, but will be group-based followed by a short best-of-7 playoff (no more than 3 rounds). As it stands with eight entrants, two groups of four or one group of eight. POINTS 3 - points for a win 2 - point for an overtime win 1 - point for an overtime loss 1 - point for a tie 0 - points for a loss Deadline for Signups is August 2nd, 2008. statto
So are we allowed to pick 2 A list teams? Sure, I'll be conducting each draw independently and then re-doing draws if one person wins more than one, if that makes any sense. For instance Players A B and C are in a draw for teams 1 and 2 Player A wins team 1 - first choice Player A wins team 2 - second choice the draw ends consolation draw for team 2 between B & C
statto
We have 8 teams... smells like a tournament to me! Any other takers before Friday?
metzgerism
Let's do one group of eight, so that if someone wants to jump in they can without there being a big fuss. I know that you really wanted to try out the format you had in mind, but there's just not that many takers for SNES tournaments - without active recruitment, that is. I'd also like 2 games vs. all.
