  2. So let me give you the details on his awesomeness. I have been trying for years to take the Original Tecmo Bowl and make it into an NCAA rom encompassing you guessed it the 1960's, 70's, and 80's. The biggest glitch was the end zones and playbooks. I asked him for help and in minutes he jumped in with both feet. Additionally he is helping edit the scoreboard and helmets. I tried for years to get help on this other places to no avail, but this guy did everything and more in a day. So be on the lookout for some awesome Tecmo Bowl roms in the near future.

  3. I agree with @Sauceas that is what I've done to have the NHL95 season mod to reflect the actual NHL season. It is a bit time consuming. But if you have a plan and the tolls to execute it. (Which so many great modders have provided, like @wboyfor NOSE, @smozoma for Ditherer, @Jkline3@kingraphfor his knowledge and many others with what they have provided. @wboy@smozoma

  4. He's a good egg. Beyond generous! Named after a transformer although sounding suspiciously close to a type of condom. LOL Ahhhh, the mind goes where it goes...

  5. Below is the draft order for C league. You will be choosing from the drafted teams in the CDL S2 ROM. To look at the rosters, you can use the google doc that @kidswasted made: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XnW7ehvP7k5NqCjlQekoWApDZROkdyuNx_6MqIAssWg/edit#gid=1436647210 Become familiar with a few teams, so when it is your turn to draft, you have a list of teams you prefer. I will officially start the draft on Friday, March 19th, but you guys can start drafting before that (deadlines won't take effect until March 19th). The ROM can be downloaded from the Discord channel in the Pins. I'd link it here, but it might change, and the newest version would be linked in the channel. The draft list was randomly generated: @INDIO @niuhuskie224 @SlapshotSean @boehm23 @Joe H @kidswasted @Raidercanuck1329 @Heinz57 @dmm1000 @jay22 @Logans Legends @jcariello @Triple A Post your picks in Discord.

  7. Just an FYI my sheet is updated as of about 11am ET yesterday(an hour before the trade deadline ended). I will check tonight or tomorrow to update it. You can always just check the CDL pinned draft sheet which contains the updated teams and lines too.

  8. Actually I've tested that after @kingraphhelped me find the offset for those pre-game ratings. They don't seem to have any relation to team performance. And frankly the fact that they are hard coded in the game data when you can create and trade players at will just seems weird to me. [I mean, the original NHL Hockey would change the pre-game lineup checkmarks after the player stats were tweaked in NOSE and they didn't even allow trading in that game!] I can add to that that in my testing of NHL96, whatever the team performance rankings [Powerplay, Goalie, etc...] were, this seemed to correlate with the teams performance in a season. This was why when I was testing my graphics changes in my IIHF mod I would end up using Estonia [originally Detroit] I also tried editing the teams in both in game trades [traded all of the worst ranked players to Detroit and all of the best ranked players to Ottawa] as well as editing player data in NOSE [changed all Colorado and New Jersey player attributes to 0, overall 40s, and Anaheim and Winnipeg to all 6s, overall 120? (99)] Didn't make a lick of difference. Detroit, Colorado and Jersey still made the playoffs, Ottawa and Anaheim didn't, and Winnipeg was swept in first round. However, I will note that I tried this again, using Winnipeg as my selected team this time, and they won. But I've already noticed that game does seem to give a stat boost to the player team anyway. Somewhere in there is also how end of season awards are determined. For example in my IIHF 95 ROM, China's Hua Geng [formerly known as Calgary's Mike Vernon] would routinely win the Vezina despite being rated something more fitting for a 25th ranked team. The good news is that while 97 seems to suffer from the same faulty logic, 98 seems to have a bit more randomness inserted into the AI. The first two times I tried to sim a complete season, as the defending-and-soon-to-be Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings no less, I didn't even make the playoffs! I then ran through eight more simmed seasons as different teams and ended up with eight different Champions [none of which were my team]
