  1. I have the same pad, the Microsoft Sidewinder and it sucks hehe. I should eventually get something else. Hopefully I can find a converter to make the genesis pad connect to my pc. As far as the online league, don't worry there will be more leagues once this one is finished. There's at least 2 people that want to be in (and have said they would take over a team if someone else drops out). We'll let you know if that happens, but at the very least wait until the next season and play exhibition games in the meantime. You can always play me if I'm around.. my AIM and Yahoo names are: goldparalax. -Evan
  2. Wow, wboy.. I hope you enjoyed doing this research. Great work. I never would have known about the "action replay" codes unless I did some major research, which I don't have time for. Mack, how much would you pay wboy for a snes editor?
  3. The only information I can add about the PS2 game since I haven't played it yet is that it has fake teams, players, ratings etc. They don't have the rights to the old players and teams so they just replaced all the names with fake ones. -Evan
  4. Hey aqualizard, I can give you my feedback from what I've seen. I agree that the console version is different from the emulator version without a doubt. Like you said, it's different architechture and indeed, an "emulator". I find playing this game (genesis and sega cd in particular) on the console is always going to be the best experience as that's what the game was built for. The emulator is still fun, and the online play makes it even more valuable... but there's differences in AI, game speed, and over "feel" as you mentioned. An interesting thing is when you test an edited version of the game on the emulator, and then play it on the console. You certainly notice the differences. All in all, I will still play the game on either but I know exactly what you're talking about. -Evan

    NOSE 1.0b released!

Overtime lenghts! hehe. Awesome work wboy. -Evan
  6. I just wanted to mention that our nhl94online.com/nhl92.com league is going well so far. Most of the coaches have played some games, and for the most part it's going smoothly. nhl94online.com http://nhl92.com/nhl94home.htm -Evan
  7. Hey p-dizzle, If you've downloaded the kailleraclient.dll file from Anti3d.com, then simply overwrite the existing one in your emulator folder. When you now run the emulator and goto netplay, you should see the server list come up in the window. At this point you can double click servers and join games. Let me know if you get this far. -Evan
  8. Yes... on the Multimedia -> Downloads page of nhl94.com, if you look at the bottom of the "94 Game and Music Files" section, you'll see some of the audio files including the NHL94 intro (theme) song for Genesis and SNES. This is the link to that page: http://www.nhl94.com/html/multimedia/downloads.asp -Evan
  9. Got the email, thanks. I'll let you know if I get anywhere. It's a 160 GIG external Western Digital 7200 RPM drive, though I've used it as internal as well.
  10. Wboy, If you have something for hard drives that aren't recognized by Windows because they don't spin correctly, that would be awesome. PM me if you have something for that. Thanks alot, -Evan
  11. I think this debate could go on and on forever with good points for both sides. In the end, it comes down to personal preference (and sometimes which version of the game you played first). I'm one of the people that thinks the Genesis version is far superior because of the gameplay, like Wally said. But there's no right answer to this, and you always get about equal votes for either game. -Evan
  12. The best way to communicate with others to play a game of '94 is getting their chat names for aim, yahoo, etc. Once you have that, you guys can chat when you're both on the computer and setup a game. Posting on here or emailing is the next best thing. If you wanted, you could browse through the kaillera servers and see if anyone is playing a game of nhl94 in the game list. Make sure you grab the Anti3d kaillera dll file to be able to see the servers on the downloads page if you haven't done so already. -Evan
  13. Hey Tick, I've had this happen before, pretty funny. I guess this deserves to be on the "bugs" page of the website. -Evan
  14. Hey Everyone, We are now accepting registration for the Fall 2005 online league for both Genesis and SNES players. This is the website where it's happening: NHL94 Online.com There will be at least 1 SNES and 1 Genesis conference, possibly 2 Genesis conferences depending how many people sign up. Players may have the option to coach 2 teams. Don't worry about the current conference setup on the nhl94online.com website. That will be adjusted according to our registration results. This league is being run by myself (Evan) and Jeff (deadmeow) of nhl92.com. We will be using his forum to post the scores, so make sure you register here if you're planning on signing up. There's probably things I've left out on the nhl94online.com website, so if there's any questions feel free to ask me. Thanks and hope to see you guys in the games, -Evan
  15. sure i'll play.. i sent you a personal message
  16. Hey guys, Is anyone currently or ever edited the SNES nhl94.smc file before? I am wondering where the period lengths are, mainly the OT length. I did a search for the lengths in hex (012C, 0258, etc) and found some results, but nothing seemed like it. I would have to start messing around with it. Just wondering if anyone's done this to save me the trouble. Thanks, -Evan
  17. Wally and Everyone, Stay tuned.. Jeff (deadmeow) and I will be running a fall league though nhl94online.com. We'll let everyone know when that's going on. -Evan
  18. When it first came out, Mutant League Hockey was fun.. but that kind of died out for me. It's one of those games that is fun to throw on every once in a while. I'll have to try Mutant League Football one of these days. -Evan
  19. Wboy, This '94 midi file sounds great. I'm going to try importing this into an audio composer software (Nuendo), to see if I can use the midi track information and create a remix. I'll let you know when I get around to doing this, and what the results are. (My brother has a full-blown audio studio, so it should be fun.) -Evan
  20. I'm downloading it and checking it out. I'll be adding it to the downloads page, and hopefully it will be useful for us. -Evan
  21. Great work as always, Wboy. It is very strange that they switched the lefty-righty numbers back and forth. This knowledge that the handedness column affects the fighting abilities will hopefully be useful when we add fighting back into '94.
  22. This reverts back to my other thread regarding how to get to the audio within NHL94. We know the tracks on the Sega CD version can be edited (been there, done that), but the actual in-game audio is what we're after.
  23. Hey guys, My cousin posed this question before, and I just wanted to get it back up here because it's something I would love to know as well. Is there a way to extract the in-game sounds effects from the genesis BIN file of nhl94? Is there some sort of program you could run to extract these audio files? I would love to know where they reside within the BIN file, just so we could replace the sound effects with others. -Evan
  24. According to EA's website, NHL2K6 will be out tomorrow, September 6th. If anyone gets a copy, please let us know your feelings and if '94 has online play. I have to make a point of something here. Ok, if EA had all the time to spend changing players names, numbers, team colors, ratings, etc... then why didn't they just spend the time putting in the current teams, rosters, colors, ratings, etc???? Anyone have a guess? I guess it's possible they don't have the source code to modify the number of teams, but I wouldn't expect that from EA. -Evan
  25. Hey Ace, I think everyone on the forum means well and no negative intentions are meant. I always encourage people to sign up on the site with challenges, etc. so don't take your challenge as a failure. Hopefully you'll find a couple people that may be interested, and then you should work out the details through IM or email (though if you want to do that on this forum, that's fine). Sounds like Kgman would meet in person for some '94 action. Most of us are pretty busy people from what I gather. If you wanted to play others in '94, the best way would be on an emulator. Yes, it's not exactly the same game, but my experiences have been just as much fun playing online (on the Gens emulator) vs. playing on a console. It takes a little getting used to, but so does everything. Hey, if you wanted to play a SNES '94 game online vs. me I'd do it, even though I've never played a SNES game online before. Anyway I just wanted to throw in my opinions to assure you you're not the "least popular in the forum area". -Evan
