  1. Nice. Glad to see caged is in. Now we need to get Snyder....
  2. Ok, I think everything is up to date. If people could continue to make sure all their games are added in the standings, that would be a huge help. Thanks And, again, I'll make sure everything is 100% right at the end. (I'll try to check everything later tonight.) Also, I checked the other thread, and I did say 3 from each conference make it to the playoffs. So we'll stick with that format: the 2 and 3 seeds play each other in the first round. 1 seeds get a bye
  3. ggs. my horrendous season is over. this has reminded that i can't win games that mean anything; once i let in one goal, i completely crack and immediately let in like six more right after.
  4. Kovalchunk is such a fat lard, but it's nice to see NJ completely out-work the Flyers.
  5. all games have been posted. i believe that the gf-ga are all correct. however, it's possible that i made an error somewhere along the line. at the end of the season, i'll do a complete audit of the entire season to make sure the numbers are right. also: assuming snyder and cam continue to be no shows, the number of games played you're trying to get to is 14. a lot of people are getting close. i don't want to jynx him, but carse has a solid lead for the bawa award, which i know he wants. you're just about a week away from getting prison secrets on how to get jacked in jail and kill someone...
  6. Naw, min, you're gonna have to go jail and write that one. It doesn't look like I ever posted an official playoff format. My original intention was to have three teams from each conference make it; the one seed would get bye. But since people seem to be having fun and the season ended up being really short, I say f*ck it: four players from each division should make it-- essentially letting everyone in. Also, the season is supposed to be over on the 11th. However, people seem to be trying to play their games, so if we need more time, I could add a few days on. We'll see what it looks like on the 11th...
  7. Damn, Gaborik puts away the 3-ot game winner. The goalies combined made close to 100 saves. It was another fun one to watch.
  8. You finally decided to join! A lot of us have already played with kabs. You'd never know by playing him that he just joined the forums; he's a solid 1v1 and 2v2 player.
  9. New York probably has a high hipster %. And as we all know, hipsters are too busy listening to Vampire Weekend and pretending to be artists to watch sports.
  10. Cool, thanks. If we need to, we could extend the season deadline. I'm still not expecting bo, snyder, or caged to play their games, so I don't know what we should about the playoffs. I'd be up for adding games to the season, too, since the season didn't end up having too many games. But I don't know... let me know what you guys think. I am down for whatever.
  11. Let's hope the ratings are a sign that the NHL is regaining its popularity and viewership... http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2012/04/stanley-cup-playoffs-first-round-most-viewed-on-record/ http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/04/30/nhl-stanley-cup-conference-semi-final-overnight-on-nbc-are-best-in-8-years/131490/
  12. Interesting. And damn... Looks like a new deal may be close according to an article from today... http://www.bizjournals.com/phoenix/morning_call/2012/04/phoenix-coyotes-sale-could-be.html
  13. I wonder if the league would want PHX to win. It would bring attention to the fact that the league owns a team right now (granted, it may make them easier to sell) and you know that all of the sore losers on the internet would start kicking around conspiracy theories about how the NHL's team won.
  14. Everyone underestimated Phoenix. If you've watched any of the games, you have to admit that they've looked great. With Pittsburgh out, I'm picking them to win the cup. They play really hard and move the puck well.(NYR v. PHX)
  15. Sure, that would be great. Whenever you get the chance you can start playing. I'll probably take abcd out because he had told me he may be busy with finals.
  16. Good stuff, guys. I was worried that everyone had forgotten about this league. Umm... I am worried that abcd, caged, and snyder aren't going to play any of their games. If only three people play games in each division, maybe we'll just have all six make the playoffs and first seed can have a buy or something. Idk... we'll see what happens.
  17. Thanks for the post. Not being able to get up during that big moment usually leads to me crying at my bedside for an hour or two.
  18. philiveyismyhero -- hit me up anytime
  19. Yeah, Philly out-played us all year. Hopefully the Pens will be able to make some good adjustments in the offseason. From what I've heard, Staal wants traded; he wants to be on team that can give him a bigger role. That might work out-- it could maybe free up cap space to extend Crosby(1 season left) or Malkin's (2 years left) contract-- and maybe we need more offense rather than a shut-down center. (I realize Staal put up some decent offensive numbers this year.) Although Staal somehow making a million less per year than Paul Martin, whose contract is 5 million a season. (WTF!?) Moving Martin for anything would be big. Anyways, it was a really fun series to watch. I'm rooting for a Florida v. Phoenix cup! (A cup with no stars.)
  20. f**k. it's gonna be an uphill battle to say the least. pens need to stay out of the box this period.
