  1. Big foot wears Chara's shoes when he wants to make tracks. Chara vs Pronger, Marvel comics!
  2. Hey RayGun, Added your 2010 update to the NHLPA'93 home page (left column). Great job!
  3. Found a bug in your update. There's an illegal instruction error for Phoenix if records are enabled and "Hamilton" is used (screen cap below). I think there's a 300,000,000 dollar work around if you have the time. Good job otherwise.
  4. Bruins over Blackhawks.. Zdeno Chara will eat Mr. Peanut (Pierre Mcguire) in game 7 for strength, then he'll snap his unbreakable 2x4 plank of a hockey stick and regurgitate Mcguire's femur and score the game winning goal with it.. Marian Hossa will retire from the NHL and quarterback the Bills to 4 more consecutive super bowl losses. Vocally Caged will finally win a NHL'94 championship and M. Night Shyamalan will write a choose your own adventure book about it.. The end.
  5. Season 3's schedule was never completed either, would like to crown the season 3 champion someday. Not sure how to divvy up the teams. Summit Series was successful, and may be the only way to fly at this point.
  6. Added a Season 1 Finals recap, along with Game 6 The Movie entry and plugged the sub domain link into the menu on the root pages. There's a new poll on the main page if anyone want's to vote on the format for season 2, but it won't officially determine the setup. Will be revising some of the player ratings this weekend so if anyone has suggestions now would be a good time to air them out.
  7. Had an opportunity to do a interview with Yahoo! Sports preeminent NHL blogger Puckdaddy, too, but I declined. Kept seeing flashes of Bettman with his gumshoe attorneys with the FBI warning from VCR tapes, and there I am alongside Jim Balsillie in silhouette with my voice altered in a Lifetime original T.V. movie, explaining how Gary Bettman destroyed my life.
  8. Raygun, If you examine the trapeziod patch I did for NHL'94 you'll see the horizontal glass partitions were excised - as it only makes them look like window panes.. The free tiles were used to make the zoid. You only need to create 1/2 of it as the tiles are mirrored and reversed for the opposite end of the rink. Likewise for the rest of the rink tiles; many of which are extraneous. Find the physical offset for the tile you need to alter in hexworkshop. Then find the hex value for one of the zoid tiles you created in tilemolester. Take the hex value for that tile and add 1 to the value to flip it vertically IE: 019A to 119A. Place 119A in the physical offset for the tile at the opposite end of the rink. To mirror a tile, or flip it horizontally add 800 to the hex value IE: 019A + 800 = 099A. To flip and mirror would be a value of 199A. Obviously things can get convoluted quickly, you can send me a email or PM if you get stuck.
  9. He's a man! He's (almost) 40. Lagged out on the well wishes. Better late then never, hope it was a good day and you didn't have to use your AK.
  10. One more year till you can say, "Mr cop guy, one more jello shot for the road?" Enjoy year 20, last year to be tried as a minor (in some states).
  11. The game 6 sub-domain has consumed over a Terabyte of traffic 9 or so days since the video has been up. It's popped up on a lot of blogs and hockey forums, including the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Lose pucks column, and the facebook page of the Pittsburgh Penguins official website. It was not my intention, as search engines and web crawlers are blocked out of nhl91.com, and I haven't even added the link to the sites main menu, yet. Someone must have visited the forums and sent it through the grape vine.. As to why the video doesn't have any flash controls: I haven't had time to make a flash skin for the video, but I could plug in a generic one. Have to look at the comp properties, but I think it was created in February. It was done in 1/2 hour increments, gradually over months and in between breaks; can't work on something that tedious for more than an hour or so. In game footage was all piecemeal and could be compared to stop motion video production. A collection of save states were used in instant replays, and once a play was coordinated with the commentary it was dumped and imported. Had to split a lot of hairs with the audio and in many cases I removeed words in between sentences if the game footage didn't link up with the commentary. Anyone who has seen the game in it's totality will notice some of the commentary has been spliced and shuffled around to make things seamless. Still, all of the goals are in sequence and are as accurately reproduced as humanly possible. Here are the real goals from game 6 in a digest highlight video. The stands-panning footage was recycled a lot, too, and the scoreboard is actually doctored from EA Hockey.
  12. And Bo comes right back and cashes in on his scoring chance. Using a randomizer to determine the selection hierarchy is something I'd like to do, too. Was thinking about having a classic style draft: 6 forwards, 4 defenseman, 2 goalies. Then with the selections randomized I could auto draft the checking line with the highest rated players being the first taken until the rosters are full, then give guys a few days to trade. Basically, exactly what you said, but you guys are more experienced with drafting in these leagues than I am. Delivery man must of been tampering with my packages again.
  13. He programmed Gens. Good to see that GDL is roaring back to life again.
  14. There are a few actually. Not a fan of anti-aliasing filters but NHL'99 looks great once all of the jaggies (artifacts if anyone's a layman) are smoothed out. Never played it in Kaillera but it's fun for the whole family. Nintendo Power Tip: It was the last NHL game Mark Lesser worked on.
  15. Call Guinness, this maybe the first LAN party in the history of pasty white guys that wasn't fueled by Mountain Dew and Vulcan costumes. Shame you didn't take any pics? All the best of fortune with the marriage Halifax.
  16. <p>Finals are completed, below are the videos of the series captured in Kaillera P2P. "</em></strong></p> </blockquote> <p>That aforementioned "award" is a Sega Saturn USB pad, which I decided on after a bunch of them showed up on ebay. So, I dipped into petty cash, bought some more and set one aside for when the champ was dubbed. Since Bo made it all the way to the finals and was a gentleman in defeat, he deserves it. It's on the way, Bo.To all participants this season: You made this thing come from to fruition. And all of you are wholly responsible for it's success. By keeping to your commitment and playing the allotted games on your schedule you ensured that things would run smoothly. For that I thank you.Only one game was forfeit and only one coach had to step down; Kaberger8 moved to new digs but left only 5 games on his schedule for Louie4teen (who filled in admirably).Guys like Politelyerased, Sarcdoc, and Puckhead had no foreseeable chance to make the playoffs and were mathematically eliminated by early in the season. Still, you guys kept on trucking and finished up before the regular season deadline. Someone has to be on the outside looking in and maybe they get enough notoriety because they aren't discussed as some of the better players, but they are the bedrock of the leagues, imo. What will transpire next season is an unknown. I would like to hold a draft to give everyone a strong team; there's more than enough talent in the rom to go around, especially after some more players get upgraded.Personally I'm fond of line changes but it would be arduous in a draft, and I know some guys don't like them. Thanks again to everybody who participated.</p>
  17. I am. The Penguins in 91, and into the mid 90's, were a different beast.. A lot of my favorite players are on that team: Trottier, Mullen, Lemieux, Coffey, Recchi and Francis. The roster alone makes them one of the best teams of all time; 8 current and future Hall Of Fame members. They're similar to the '02 Red Wings, but different in a sense that the Penguins players were all in their prime (except for Trottier).
  18. Got a Lemieux '92 finals jersey and a Maurice Richard a few weeks ago.
  19. It's sad that retirement has finally hung up the skates and went into Jeremy Roenick. But retirement should of seen it coming early on when Jeremy deke'd prematurely out of the womb and onto the rink. Sad to see him go off into the red light yonder.. But I'm sure the Department Of Defense is happy to have him back at Area 51 where he can spend his golden years making crop circles with his slap shot, and can now resume teaching extra terrestrials how to speak braille.
  20. Really? I thought that Paul's comment on Jagr, "buying all the blue jean jackets" would be the kicker for Penguins fans.
  21. I've been following Adam Gretz on Fanhouse for the last couple of weeks as he catalogs the NHL's (current) top 50 players.. He reached #1 today and though it would bring some healthy dialog to the forums. And again this is not my personal list, it's Adam Gretz's. #50 Shane Doan #49 Brenden Morrow #48 Paul Stastny #47 Patrick Kane #46 Dan Boyle #45 Brian Rafalski #44 Shea Weber #43 Tomas Kaberle #42 Andrei Markov #41 Scott Niedermayer #40 Kimmo Timonen #39 Johan Franzen #38 Anze Kopitar #37 Jay Bouwmeester #36 Jeff Carter #35 Dion Phaneuf #34 Jason Spezza #33 Marian Gaborik #32 Daniel Alfredsson #31 Evgeni Nabokov #30 Thomas Vanek #29 Sergei Gonchar #28 Alexander Semin #27 Martin St. Louis #26 Mike Green #25 Niklas Backstrom #24 Marc Savard #23 Mike Richards #22 Zach Parise #21 The Sedin Twins #20 Rick Nash #19 Ryan Getzlaf #18 Eric Staal #17 Chris Pronger #16 Danny Heatley #15 Marian Hossa #14 Vincent Lecavlier #13 Ilya Kovalchuk #12 Zdeno Chara #11 Martin Brodeur #10 Henrik Lundqvist #9 Joe Thornton #8 Henrik Zetterberg #7 Niklas Lidstrom #6 Roberto Luongo #5 Jerome Iginla #4 Pavel Datsyuk #3 Sidney Crosby #2 Alexander Ovechkin #1 Evgeni Malkin
  22. I'll be available this weekend. The game that snapped the streak was pretty crazy. Freydey had a penalty shot in the 3rd with 9 seconds to go and he scored on the PS with 8 seconds to go and sealed the deal in OT
