I've been very impressed by kiba's league. It's essentially an exercise in proper team building and coaching, as the GM/coach has no direct impact on the games. UStream is really incredible, and could probably be used to broadcast and record games for any league.

I'm waiting on a controller, expected next week.

Any recommendations on how to run this? Thinking simple Google Spreadsheet for tracking. Standard format? 5mins/no offsides? Should we penalize goals other than one-timers? That is, give a negative goal for anything other than a one-timer? I feel that guys could still win games using their standard offensive tactics and simply overload the other team. Ideas?

Any interest in running a short tourney scoring only one-timers? Final scores are reported based on successful one-timers reported in the game stats. I was able to upload both this morning, seemed to take longer than usual - but boxscores looked correct.

Skating backwards from the face-off is stalling? I'll admit to trying to play a keep away game in order to try and avoid double digit goals against.
