  1. How do you do this? Can someone post their notes on it, please? I'd like to try to make 4v4 OT EDIT whoops i shoulda checked my thread guide... http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?showtopic...amp;#entry22351 getting 4on4 OT is still a ways away, though
  2. It's seriously hideous. It's pukey. It wasn't that colour in the last cap league i was in. My monitor colours are fine. The RGB(red/green/blue) is 176/252/216... it's green. The original is cyan (equal green and blue). The main teams are NY and VAN now, too.. :/ Here is a re-classic-ized version of the ROM. The only difference from the original (i think) is that it's set to 2-player mode with penalties on. Ice colour is classic; MTL and LA are the starting teams. nhl94_classic_fall2008_cyan.bin
  3. WPG 0 - 1 VAN - two wide open net posts by Luciano blow it for WPG VAN 3 - 5 WPG
  4. Why's the ice colour been changed to an ugly green in the ROM?
  5. When do you need the lines? Still tinkering with mine..
  6. I've been doing this pool for years, and it's a lot of fun. Each week, you just pick 10 guys and you get a point for every point they get (2 points if your goalie wins). You get 50 points to spend on players each week, and their costs vary from 1 to 9. (Crosby costs 9, Koivu 5, etc..) http://fantasy.sportsnet.ca/sportsnet/fanhock08/home.cgi I made a group for the nhl94.com crowd. After creating your account, go to "Group Membership", and in the "Join a Group" section, click the "N" and look for "NHL94_com" (it's under all the nhl2009 groups). The password is "nhl94".
  7. Hi Matt, Please try to meet the checkpoints in the deadline thread here. I hope you're able to make it work, but it could be tough. I'd say 67% of games are played between 7-12 PM EST. Start adding people on AIM (use their name in the standings) and trying to catch them. Your best bet is to catch guys after midnight EST. On weekends you might be able to catch some guys before 4pm (so in the evening on your friday and sunday). Here is a breakdown of the current times games have been played at: 1pm: 2 .. 6pm: 1 7pm: 1 8pm: 3 9pm: 6 10pm: 7 11pm: 3 12am: 3 1am: 2 2am: 2
  8. For the individual player checks, only checks during gameplay are counted. Checks after the whistle don't count in the inidividual player stats (they only count in the "late checks" stat).

  10. The season is 8 weeks long (not counting last week). There are checkpoints every 2 weeks that you should try to meet: Tue Oct 14 - 10 games (22%) Tue Oct 28 - 20 games (45%) Tue Nov 11 - 30 games (68%) Tue Nov 25 - 44 games (100%) To finish the 44 game season in 8 weeks, you need to average 5.5 games per week. That requires a commitment of less than 2 hours per week. I don't want to replace people, but if a coach misses a deadline and I think they aren't trying or that it's just not possible for them to keep up, then I'll replace them. There are already a couple dependable coaches in the Farm league (note to self.. set up Farm league database...).
  11. oh no, my records are incomplete! gimme tugnutt anyway, please!
  12. Can I get Tugnutt? Poor guy's never been drafted.
  13. Well, I live in Ottawa, but I was a Leafs fan before the Senators came back, and though I like the Sens, I find I always like the Leafs better (though that may be tested this year!)
  14. anyone know a good website for keeping up with the KHL? edit: d'oh, of course: http://www.khl.ru/statistics/?lang=en Hm, they spell Jaromir Jagr as Yaromir Yagr: http://www.khl.ru/players/?idplayer=13851&lang=en Emeri Raymond - http://www.khl.ru/players/?idplayer=15207&lang=en Prusek Martin - http://www.khl.ru/players/?idplayer=14600&lang=en Fountain Mike - http://www.khl.ru/players/?idplayer=6308&lang=en All former Ottawa Senators goalies Robert "Esh" is over there, too - http://www.khl.ru/players/?idplayer=15079&lang=en
  15. 10.19 - DAL - Nemchinov some cup experience...
  16. 1.2 - PHO - Pavel Bure - (7, 2, 6, 7 - 5.5) XdeathsbloodX : Bure If you can't have Roenick, and a goalie isn't what you want, then Bure is your 16-bit man. GDL's all-time leading goal scorer goes 2nd for the 2nd time. He should never have been out of the top 5. 1.3 - HFD - Patrick Roy (5, 9, 5, 5 - 6.0) Sdogg : Roy This is the first time Roy has been drafted before Belfour. It's hard to say if this is the right move by Sdogg, but I think Roy's 99 glove ratings could make him a better goalie than Belfour, who only has 99s down low. Getting some offense next round will be key for Sdogg. 1.4 - MIN - Steve Yzerman (6, 13, 3, 3 - 6.3) Jtakkunen : Yzerman Stevie Y drops to 4th after two seasons at number 3 (this is starting to sound like Casey Kasem's weekly top 40). This is another solid pick; no mistakes so far this season. 1.5 - L.A - Alexnder Mogilny - (2, 5, 8, 9 - 6.0) EnsuingFracas : Mogilny At number 5, this might be a bit too soon. Mogilny has a bad reputation for not getting the job done when it counts, which hurt his ranking in the past two seasons (8th and 9th). Hopefully Fracas can keep the reins tight on him and deliver a playoff season. 1.6 - TOR - Teemu Selanne - (8, 10, 9, 4 - 7.8) smozoma : Selanne Time will tell whether this was the right choice for smozoma. Belfour would have been a great pick for a coach who has trouble scoring, but plays tight D; however, having Roy in GDL3 didn't spell playoffs, so maybe an elite scorer will do the trick. 1.7 - CHI - Ed Belfour - (4, 3, 4, 1 - average: 3.0) Last season's number one falls drastically to number 7, and in fact this is the first time The Eagle has been outside the top 4. minddefect is probably extremely pleased with this pick, as he should be. Being relatively late in the first round also means he'll get the chance to get a respectable forward in the 2nd round. Things are looking promising for Minddefect in GDL5. 1.8 - COL - Theoren Fleury - (1, 6, 11, 12 - 7.5) Boknowsnhl94 : Fleury The game's most feared checker breaks back into the top 10. Wielded properly, Fleury is probably the best shut-down forward in the game, with his insane skating and checking skills. The same skills make him very hard to defend against. His only weakness is that his shot isn't particularly hard or accurate. Whether or not this is a good pick depends on how well bo can make use of Fleury. 1.9 - PIT - Mike Gartner - (25, 12, 12, 14 - 15.8) MattHurray : Gartner I'd been pushing for Gartner to break the top 10, and he finally did. He is one of the games best pure goal scorers, and has an uncanny ability to chase down free pucks under AI control. 5/5 speed and a surprisingly accurate 5/3 shot, his one weakness is that he doesn't help out much defensively. MattHurray is usually a defensive-minded coach, so it will be interesting to see how this pick turns out. Can Matt embrace Gartner's run-and-gun philosophy, or will their strengths and weaknesses average out to nothing special? 1.10 - ANH - Doug Gilmour (12, 8, 13, 10 - 10.8) EvitageN : Gilmour Gilmour goes 10th again, and I think this is his place. There are certainly a couple other options still available, but Roenick-lite is a good choice (and the same choice I made last year with the 10th pick!). He plays well at both ends, though defense is more his game than offense. ...
  17. 9.6 - TOR - Luciano "Looch" Borsato
  18. 8.21 - DAL - Roger Johansson
  19. If you have Rock Band, they're releasing a Rush album really soon (this week?) with songs like Tom Sawyer, YYZ, Limelight.... 7 Rush songs and 6 songs from other bands, roughly 11$ i think. (i think Tom Sawyer and Limelight are already available, except the ones you can currently get are cover versions.. the new album will be all real Rush versions - http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/09/19/lo...ses-next-week/)
  20. 6.19 - TOR - Nikolai Borshevsky
  21. oh wait now i see how i made it
  22. I have no idea how I got to 1000...
  23. {draft.position} {name} ({past draft positions} - {past average draft position}) Draft Thread: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?showtopic...amp;#entry53056 1.1 - WSH - Jeremy Roenick - (3, 4, 1, 2 - average: 2.5) wags : Roenick This is the 2nd time Roenick has been drafted 1st, and, if you ask me, that is 3 times not enough. The only other option for #1 is Belfour, if defense is more your style; but then Roenick is the embodiment of the saying, "a good offense is a good defense." Plus he's one of the best backcheckers in the game. It's hard to say what Wags should go for next, since Roenick can do so much himself. A good passer could be good, to feed him for one-timers. Wags will probably see a great improvement over previous years' points totals.
  24. haha awesome. could only be better if his name were stephane.
  25. 5.6 - TOR - Cam Russell sorry for the wait - at work
