Yeah, that's true actually, especially to stay in Manhattan. However, there are options in the other boroughs like Queens (where all the airports are anyway) and even, *gulp*, New Jersey that are more affordable, but would require a subway, bus or cab ride in (15-20 minutes or so).

Live tourney would be great, especially with the members from the community. Mexico will be a tough sell. However, NYC would be nice! Or Montreal? Maybe for 2013 -- the 20th anniversary of the release of NHL'94!!! I can see EA or ESPN sponsor this idea.

Most leagues, at least that I have seen and been a part of, are played with offsides OFF. However, there is currently a 2012 league (modified ROM with 2012 teams/rosters -- http://www.galeague.somee.com/) that has offsides on. Assuming nobody else from this community is there, my money is on wookie to win it all. In what is essentially a "C" league with 10 minute periods, it will be extremely difficult to beat him. Auto line changes be damned.

Hi, welcome! Most leagues use 5 minute periods, line changes off, and penalties on, except offsides. There is currently a 2012 league (custom ROM with '12 teams and rosters) that uses line changes and penalties on. Let us know your AIM name so we can play some exhibitions when you're ready.

Dan, the latest games doesn't appear to be working correctly. I can see the timestamp on the results page with some recent games (12/27), but on the home page the latest games have not changed.
