  1. Well Done. Nice Article! Need more of this stuff!
  2. Fixed the Coca-Cola (Coke) 3 stars and scoreboard logo in the 1980 Rom.
  3. Missed you Skeletor! Welcome Back! I am sure Brutus will be happy to see your sausage!
  4. You will see highlights for all games. Regular season and Playoff.
  5. Yup! You got out in front of my announcement Matt, Good Job. I completed 1962, 1963, 1964, and 1965, so with 61, 66, and 67 you can now play the last 7 years of the Original 6 era. Eventually I will do 1968 and 1969 to go with 1970 to complete the 12 team era. I am also planning to complete the 1950's. As far as other updates the answer is also yes! I improved the 4 and 8 team playoff brackets. I made some new and different scoreboard/3 star logos for Slapshot, 70, 75, and 80. Slapshot logo is Rootbeer as that was the Hanson Bros favorite. AND, I put the Miracle on Ice 1980 olympic teams back in the 1980 rom with better player ratings. I also improved and changed my 2v2 roms. Enjoy! NHL Player ratings are the same as I am very happy with my template. It is also consistent across all roms.
  6. SEMI-FINALS #6 Calgary (Adam) vs #7 Montreal (Coach) Would it be 1986? or 1989? Game 1 in Calgary Montreal win a tight 2-1 game. Canadiens lead 1-0 Game 2 in Calgary Montreal holds on to win 4-3. After jumping out to a 4-1 lead the Canadiens are badly outplayed in the third, but hold on to win. Canadiens up 2-0 Game 3 in Montreal Montreal has a chance to crush the Flames and take a 3-0 lead. The Candiens have 2-1 and 3-2 leads before Gary Roberts ties it at 3 at the end of the second period. Gary Suter scores the only goal of the third period and the Flames are back in the series. Canadiens lead 2-1. Game 4 in Montreal Calgary dominates but only wins 5-3 thanks to great goaltending by Patty Roy. The Flames outshoot the Habs 21-9 and dominate the offensive zone 7:22 to 3:40. No one has won on Home Ice, but the Flames have all the momentum. Series tied 2-2. Game 5 in Calgary In possibly the best game of the series the Flames prevail 3-2. Gary Suter again scores the winner, this time in the second period. The teams play a frantic but scoreless third period. Shots finish 10-10. Attack zone time is almost dead even. Adam is starting to bring out the best in Mike Vernon. The Saddledome crowd gets to enjoy the only win by a Home Team in the series. Flames lead 3-2 Game 6 in Montreal The Habs dominate the first period but only lead 1-0. Adam is playing and controlling Mike Vernon as well as anyone I've seen. At the end of 2 the Canadiens lead 2-1. The Flames finally wake up and dominate the third with 4 unanswered goals to win the game 5-2 and end the series in 6. Flames win 4 games to 2. Congrats to @AdamWoodrow for advancing to the Finals in his first season of Classic. Thanks to @aqualizard and Adam for getting these done while I had a computer to use. 8 of the 13 games I played were 1 goal games. I went 5-3. 5 of my 6 wins were 1 goal games.
  7. Hey Blake, First use TM not TLP. Then follow this guide. It has everything you seek. This may also help you.
  8. #2 Winnipeg (Aqualizard) vs #7 Montreal (Coach) First for some background, November 5, 2017 Winnipeg (Aqualizard) took 4 of 5 games against Montreal (Coach) during the Classic Regular Season. December 6, 2017 In the Premium Retro League Season 3 Teddy Bear Cup Finals. Los Angeles (Aqualizard) won an epic 7 game series over Minnesota (Coach). You can read about it here: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/18227-premium-retro-league-3/&page=3 December 19, 2017 In preseaon trading for the Plablegs 2 League Aqualizard is insulted by Coach rejecting a trade with him and instead trading with Brutus. After the dust has cleared Aqualizard says: aqualizard - 12/19/2017 ok. u control ur tm. I was just shocked. (but now I REALLY want to beat u) December 20, 2017 Coach drops from Plablegs 2. December 26, 2017 Classic League Playoff Matchups pit Aqualizard against Coach. December 30, 2017 Game 1 in Winnipeg Aqualizard and the Jets win a wide open back and forth game 6-5 by scoring 2 goals in the final minute of play. Teemu Selanne had 4 goals. Winnipeg leads 1-0. Game 2 in Winnipeg Coach and the Canadiens win 3-2 despite 8 minutes in penalties and only 4 shots on goal. Patrick Roy stood on his head stopping 16 of 18 shots. The Jets also had almost 4 minutes of 5 on 3 hockey that they could not score. Series tied 1-1. Game 3 in Montreal Bob Essensa gets back on his game and pitches a 3-0 shutout on the road in the Forum. Winnipeg is back in control and leads 2-1. Game 4 in Montreal A Vinny Damphousse Hat Trick gets the Canadiens right back in the series with a 3-2 win. Series tied 2-2 Game 5 in Winnipeg Teemu Selanne scores 5 goals for the Jets on their way to dominating 7-2 victory and seemingly control of the Series. Patrick Roy is pulled late in the third period after stopping just 3 of 10 shots. Jets lead 3-2. Game 6 in Montreal Denis Savard and Vinny Damphousse score 2 goals each to lead the Canadiens to a 4-2 victory and force Game 7. After one of Savard's goals Aqualizard stopped the Music (by pausing the game) in the Forum and seemed to really put a bee in the Canadiens bonnet. Despite Coachmac's threats of nuclear retalition if he was ever subjected to these tactics again...... Todd Ewen, Mario Roberge, and Lyle Odelien were able to restrain Coachmac from going over the glass to get to Aqualizard. Series tied 3-3 GAME SEVEN in Winnipeg After a 0-0 First Period, Phil Housley found the twine 23 seconds into the second to give the Jets a 1-0 lead. However in the final minute of the second just 12 seconds apart Stephan LeBeau and JJ Daigneault scored to give the Canadiens a 2-1 lead. Davydov tied it at 2 in the first minute of the third. Incredible back and forth action ensued as the teams battled. Then with under a minute to play Matt Schneider took a pass from Denis Savard and beat Essensa high glove to give the Canadiens a 3-2 victory. and the SERIES. Canadiens win 4 games to 3. Statgasm Montreal was 2-1 at Home and 2-2 on the Road Winnipeg outscored the Canadiens 24-20. Winnipeg outshot the Canadiens 88-65. (Game 3 was 18-4) Montreal's shooting % was 31, Winnipeg's was 27. Winnipeg's PP was 3 for 10, 30%, Montreal was 2 for 9, 22% Winnipeg had 2 shorties. Montreal out checked the Jets 24-20 per game. Montreal won 53% of faceoffs. Winnipeg had 5:50 AZ time avg, Montreal had 4:53 Teemu Selanne lead all scorers with 12-4-16, but 9 of his 12 goals came in 2 games. Davydov had 5-6-11, Housley had 5-4-9, Bautin had 0-8-8. Montreal was lead by Savard 6-3-9 and Damphousse 6-1-7 JJ Daigneault lead the way defensively for the Canadiens with 2-3-5 and a series best 47 checks and 8 PIM. Bob Essensa 2.87 GAA, .692 SV %, and 1 shutout. Patrick Roy 3.49 GAA and .727 SV %. The Jets stats were skewed by 2 games the blowout win and then penalty filled game were Montreal had just 4 shots. Jets Line-up Housley and Bautin were paired together on D every game. Selanne at Center and Davydov on LW. Borsato started on RW in Games 1,2,5, and 6 (Jets went 2-2) Zhamnov started on RW in Games 3,4, and 7 (Jets went 1-2) Canadiens Line-up Schneider and Daigneault were paired together on D every game. Damphousse LW, Muller C, Savard RW games 1,2,3 (Habs went 1-2) Savard LW, Damphousse C, Muller RW games 4,5,6 (Habs went 2-1) Savard LW, Damphousse C, LeBeau RW game 7 (Habs went 1-0) GGS Aqualizard!
  9. This is a great tool. I and many others use it all the time.
  10. What are the best ways to make the Original Genesis Look, Play, and Sound Good on HDMI TV's? Is it even possible?
  11. I think people are starting to pay more attention. I would love to hear all of your thoughts on everything about awareness.

  13. I will just second that the HHOF blurbs are priceless for what you want to do. My template has worked great and I am very happy with the results based on how those players played when used on our retro league. My template covers everything but skating speed and agility. Good Luck and Have fun!
  14. I would be happy to come play in a 3 day LIVE event but that may be a tough sell as we can't get everybody to a 1 day event. The second argument is ridiculous, The World Cup? The Olympics? are very small samples. In fact all major sports PLAYOFFS are small samples. Why not make the Presidents Trophy winner the Stanley Cup winner. It is a much larger sample of excellence. How about the 18-0 Patriots obviously better than the NYG, but the NYG are Super Bowl Champs and that is what matters.
  15. #1 King of 94 is awesome. #2 Very little drinking. #3 The hanging out together is great. #4 It is the Premier Event/Title you can win in 94. #5 It is kinda like a 12 year old birthday party (which is awesome) #6 What format would you propose for people traveling from all over the USA and Canada. #7 I would love to see you come to one as you are obviously one of the best players in the World. (For what that is worth)
  16. https://krikzz.com/store/ Buy this. Get either or both of the 2018 roms off this site. Put them on it. Plus it will hold every other Genesis game created.
  17. @deadmeowwas the original owner of NHL92.com and some other similar sites, and ran some Leagues way back in the early 2000's before I even knew what the internet was. I think he and @Evanwere friends, he may have even helped get NHL94.com going if I remember properly. I played in a couple of his leagues around 2013. http://homeiswhere.phpzilla.net/nhl2013standings.htm http://homeiswhere.phpzilla.net/nhl2013standings.htm Then I took over the site as he was in poor health and I had my leagues. I had all the team rosters, player pictures, records, etc... up on the site plus my leagues stats. After KO94 in Toronto my interest waned in 92 and 93, and I finally moved on to 1994. Did not renew the domain name when time came and so now it is gone. Here is Deadmeow's Forum, looks like he shut everything down in March of this year. I know he was really sick. http://gensports.proboards.com And yes, the Penguins are stupid good, no other team in the rom comes close. It is like they are Chicago and everybody else is Florida. What always amazed me is no weight bug in 92. What happened? Did Mikey actually ever find out? How about the fighting story? What is up with Mikey and Pixelated Heroes? Still have lots of questions?
  18. Updated the post above with a new rom. the only change was an improved Don Cherry, courtesy of KingRaph. Please discard the previous Rom. Don Cherry, Bob Probert, and Tie Domi approved this No penalties Rom!
  19. RockemSockem94.bin This ROM was created by CoachMac using a template made by wboy and Naples. I am calling it Rock em Sock em 94. It includes all the Original NHL 94 teams except the All-Stars. The lines are set to "No Hassle/Building Lines with AJ" Best available sub will automatically come in on Injury/Penalty. The features and format were introduced by Premium/Plabax in the Spring of 2017 and were very popular. Here are it's features. Classic rules for weight (NO WEIGHT BUG FIX) C/B is enabled, just as in Classic. NO PENALTIES. They are OFF, normally when you turn OFF penalties, the B check no longer works. IN THIS ROM, B check is hacked to work with the penalties OFF. SO, B Check enabled, Penalties OFF. The delay in time it takes to switch to goalie is shortened, just as in the Blitz ROM. Y button enabled, allowing like in SNES, where you instantly switch to goalie after hitting Y button with no delay. The RANGE a goalie can extend to while in manual control is increased, as in Blitz. More freedom to move around. The ratings at the start of the game will be displayed ACCURATELY and will be STATIC (the same each time, in Classic, your players ratings can vary from game to game). Offsides OFF, Icing ON, Line changes OFF. All goalies not named Belfour or Roy get a boost as in Blitz. All Advantages are removed/equalized for every team.**** Overtime is set to 60 minutes.**** **** I made slight variations from the first rom here. The intent was to remove all advantages, especially Home Ice. The way Plabax set it up Weak (0)/Weak (2) actually give every team a +2 Home Ice Advantage. I made it Weak (0)/Strong (0) which makes the Home Ice Advantage ZERO for every game. 99 minute OT just looks stupid. 60 looks reasonable and ought to get it settled. I am also going to Post the rom with my other Historic Roms, which you can find here. After the Draft, I will make a League Rom, but this will provide guys an opportunity to EXI using this format And serve as BASE Rom moving forward.
