ok, look, i think the best route would be to add 2 teams, 1 more in each existing conference, and just have the top 8 make the playoffs. lets keep things simple, theres no real reason to have 2 playoffs going. whats fair is fair, i have no problem playing a 40-50 game season and not making the playoffs if im not in the top 8. personally I don't see what the huge problem would be by adding 2 more teams to the league. How does it mess with the bidding system? It wont add that many more games (6 most likely). It wont deplete the talent pool that badly (there's 24 teams in GDL would be 18 here with more players to choose from). And so what if there's rookies on the list (there's also my brother (NJK) and DrP1zza). I'm siding with Sungod on this one and voting for expansion

So I've been working on an early beta for the season 2 ROM and I feel like I should post each team's needs in the off-season due to expiring contracts or retirement of players so here it is. (Although I'm not positive about Chicago and Hartford as there is a pending trade involving those 2 teams). While I'm at it I'll add up the new cap space for each team. The Philadelphia Flyers lost both ends of a Home-and-Home with the Nashville Preadators, losing 9-3 at home and a tight 7-6 loss in Nashville. The Flyers starting goalie Jon Casey was pulled after allowing 7 goals in the home loss, backup Rick Knickle played the entire game in Nashville. Alexei Zhamnov led the Flyers offense with 4 goals (on 5 shots) and 5 assists, Cam Neely and Steve Yzerman added 2G-2A each in the losses. When asked about his defense's execution after the 1st 2 games Coach Heacock said "I'm in favor of it."
