Since kgman probably is not coming back, and you know me to be reliable unless I'm sick or really swamped...I shall re-claim my Devils. Unless somehow, kgman comes back. If he does, put me on the reserve list incase someone drops.

Allow the original Devils GM to throw his hat in here... It would look TERRIBLE if the GDL Finals were not played...so I propose a very odd, yet workable solution. *waits for everyone to laugh in his face* If kgman does not show up a few days before the deadline, EA could play against me in the finals. I put the team together, and albeit it'd probably mean an easy sweep for him, wouldn't it be better than just giving the Blackhawks the title without working for it. I might not win any games, but at the very least, you'd make EA earn it, and competition is what this league is all about. If you want a finals to be played and can't get kgman to come out of the cave, I'll be the sacrificial lamb so that we get an actual finals. There you go. Discuss

Taking time off my self-imposed sabatical to reply here... I know the feeling of getting pasted 10-0 after 2 periods. The urge to just half-ass it and let in another 5 or 6 goals crossed the mind very often. The fact of the matter is, anyone can win on any given day. Even though against the established stars of this board, the game for lesser players like myself is decided well before the drop of the puck, you can't stop playing hard. I personally would rather give a good account of myself in a lopsided loss than just give up the moment I go down 5-0 after 2 minutes. Also, as for running up the score: I never do it, kinda' because I never have a chance to , but I'd never run it up on someone. Besides, when I lead, I'm more inclined to play defensive hockey to try and preserve it, and to develop a defensive mentality.

It's a serious matter. The smilies come out when I'm fooling around. Being a jerk to someone is no joke, especially when you feel downright awful about it afterwards. Damn it all, I sound like a friggin' ABC Afterschool Special.

I need a week to get back to 100%. I've been feeling very sick as of late, and I need to rest. Doesn't help that I'm playing these games and letting them get to me, as my blood pressure is high enough as it is. It all came to a regretful blowup while playing awesomerino, and I would like to publically apologize for just being nasty before anything else about it gets out. Let's just say I'm very run down, between trying to find a job, playing my games, and a lot of other stuff I don't wish to discuss in public. I'll be back to playing games next week. Mod, move this if it ain't in the right place, because right now I feel like I'm going to hurl.

I'm feeling you on that one. I've already played 8 games, but I'm eager to get my season done before the end of September Nobody's cooperating by not being around. Irritates me somewhat, but gives me more time to practice my dekeing, which IMO is the only thing holding me back from being really good.

If you do, I'm looking forward to reading it I was thinking about venturing into SNES play next season, and seeing if I would have more luck

The Heat is Turned Up on Coach Delgado, as Rangers Fall Short Esa Tikkanen helped the Rangers get off to a very respectable 2-2 start in the Gens D Eastern Conference. However, he could not help the Rangers enough to at least salvage a point from a home and home with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Two very competitive contests resulted with the Pens getting 4 goals each, and hanging on for wins. At Pittsburgh, the Rangers dug themselves a hole early and could not get out of it. It seemed as though the Penguins knew what head coach Tom Delgado and the Blueshirts were going to do in advance. In the end, it was the Penguins sending a sold out crowd home happy, by the count of 4-2. Meanwhile, the other end of the home and home saw a packed house at the world famous Madison Square Garden, the Rangers once again dug themselves a big hole, as Ron Francis scored a natural hat trick. They got one back late in the 1st when Esa Tikkanen put a slapper past a lunging Tom Barasso. New York pulled back some more thanks to Tikkanen, with a rally late to make it 3-3, but a Mario Lemieux goal put out the hopes of the Rangers faithful to make it 4-3, sending the fans home disappointed. The pre-season favorites in the East are at .500 at the moment, and are not playing up to expectations. There are still 16 games left to turn it around though, can head coach Tom Delgado, who has never led a team into the postseason, lead the suddenly slumping Rangers to the playoffs...or will this be another one of his magnificent failures? That's actually a nice idea Maybe that can be done for next season, if it's too late to change it for this one? We could have a little round-robin tournament dealie, to determine the true champion in the Gens leagues. NHL Jersey/Logo Concepts I particularly like the Devils stuff, especially that new logo. I think it's time they made a logo change anyway

I'd much rather he play the one that I won't be in I don't feel like going through an 0-20/40 season, because that would just suck all the fun out of it.
