  1. That b***h is really f**king annoying...
  2. dude, KMB is going to come and murder you, IP. He doesn't like you talking s**t about mIRC like that...
  3. Keep bumping this thread - it's gotta work somehow.
  4. In regards to coach-alignment, you don't want to do divisions just evenly and leave it at that (it's the problem the NHL has in the West, after all). Living in San Jose, I'd rather not get screwed by NHL94 as well as the real NHL. I've been trying to figure out proper NHL alignment for a while now, and I think I could do it well with these leagues as well (and keep even numbers of games).
  5. I changed to Pittsburgh - I can't not have Jagr-Lemieux when the opportunity arises.
  6. Yeah, dethrox and I played a bunch of 1 on 1, 2 on 2, and 3 on 3, so I'm interested in seeing more. My verdict: 1 on 1 - interesting, since you basically control one player at all times. Face-offs have more depth to them, too. 2 on 2 - this was actually kinda boring, since you always had the one-timer opportunity. 3 on 3 - resembled normal hockey for the most part. All of these could do with a little bit of juice, though...
  7. If juiced, San Jose If not, Montreal
  8. That pic was on the Juiced rom. I was especially excited because Tick scored 8 seconds earlier and I got the goal
  9. Jeff, you know from doing the one-nights that the only fair way to do player-vs-player is to let them choose the team. Juiced doesn't do everything - team knowledge is critical when playing the regular rom, and juiced throws that all away. But since we have a tradition here of taking one team and sticking with it, juiced is the ONLY way to play leagues on NHL94.com. Without team affiliations, a lot of people would be like "wtf is the point of a league then." But I'm glad to see more people choosing the even-team rom (I told Darrell when I started playing NHL94 here - as San Jose, of course - that fairness is compromised because some players are so terribly disadvantaged/advantaged). This game is all about teams, but the league should be about the players. Kudos to Xstioph for making the rom, and drinnagh (tony twist) for telling me about it back on that fateful day in mid-November
  10. http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?p=12465...=1#post12465857 This thread in forums I am involved in talks about it a lot. This is NOT a freak incident, at least not in my opinion. Referee on Saturday. Rene Bourque (suffered a different but similar life-threatening injury like this in 2006). According to Clint Malarchuk's wiki article Bengt Akerblom (who died from the injury) Clint Malarchuk. It raises awareness on an issue that has probably been ignored due to it's relative rareness, but neck guards will certainly be talked about for the next several days. And I will have nightmares like I did when I first read about Clint Malarchuk (which was about a month ago so this really pisses me off).
  11. You may have touched the framerate up toggle.
  12. I've updated the first post for a more professionalish look.
  13. I fail to see how this is possible when I continue to shine where indicators are unimportant.
  14. dethrox 32-25 kamoh ggs. dethrox is current beltholder.
  15. CHAMPION DETHROX (beat2thabox) 1-0 overall, 1-0 in belt matches Feb 5th, 2008 (title match): WIN vs. kamoh 32-25 1st place KAMOH (metzgerism) 0-1 overall, 0-1 in belt matches Feb 5th, 2008 (title match): LOSS vs. dethrox 25-32 2nd place THE RUSSIAN ROCKET (flamingpavelbure) 0-0 overall, 0-0 in belt matches 3rd place IPV6FREELY (ipv6freely) 0-0 overall, 0-0 in belt matches
  16. I hereby challenge. Which rom.
  17. Looking for anything that might get me an edge... Yeah, fenty's really good at exploiting the game mechanics and using them to his advantage...I didn't know about the Y-trick but I'll probably be practicing it from now on. That, and knocking off the net to avoid a scoring chance against... All that aside from the fact that he lives so far away that it's a laggy mess whenever you play him! Anyways, that goalie trick (#2) seems interesting enough to try out, if I can see it in action. Since pulling your goalie takes time and is considered bad form, #9 is mostly out. Although I'm constantly surprised at the lack of face-off technique players have. Yeah, I know I suck, but I'm trying to get better (and hell, I'm pretty darn good at the shootout now
  18. I beat RussianRocket 2-0, 1-0, 2-0, and 2-1. I also beat Tony Twist in 7 games, so I'll be callin' out hokkeefan...
  19. Doesn't quite work because a shitty player (like myself) who plays more games than most (like myself) would aim low and not play low-games players in order to get a shitload of unplayed-game points. Many of my wins would be unearned. There should not be a reward for "avoiding" matchups. I have a better solution that I've proposed to halifax and Evan and hopefully I'll be starting a league soon (have to work out the kinks), but you can't just tack on points at the end - it has to be realized from start to end (hint hint).
