  1. Definitely an idea, though I would think the next one would be a 2013 update (if any?). Also considering: * Previous Blitz season * Previous GDL season * Bench ROM (1st AJ suggested line players removed from team) * '95,'96,'97 or '98 Rosters We'll see what happens. Going to wait until Classic is over before firing up Season 03.
  2. Unfortunately not...I didn't record the games! I set up quickly and started playing...completely forgot.
  3. Weight bug or no weight bug, it doesn't matter as Freydey beat KingRaph in 6 games today to win back to back championships in the Survivor League! You may remember Season 1 was the classic ROM and this season featured the weight-bug fixed ROM with goalie "Y" button. Pick your poison, Freydey showed he can win with both! The series went as follows: Freydey NYR 8 @ KingRaph PIT 9 Freydey PIT 7 @ KingRaph BUF 3 KingRaph NYR 6 @ Freydey PIT 12 KingRaph PIT 6 @ Freydey DET 5 Freydey MTL 6 @ KingRaph VAN 2 KingRaph WPG 1 @ Freydey TOR 8 So the first 4 games were all PIT victories, making the series a best of 3! Frey took game 5 with a relentless attack and then absolutely crushed WPG in game 6 to put it away. So once again, congratulations to Freydey for winning Season 02! Truly one of the best '94 player ever, he proves it once again. And thank you all who participated in this season...I enjoyed organizing the league and you made it fun! Hope to see you all again in season 03! (time and ROM tbd....)
  4. $35 is SUPER pricey. Even if it came with a Ron Barr autographed headshot...still too expensive. Awesome shirt though.
  5. I don't know...actual Islander fans are pissed (they exist). Brooklyn is too far for people from Long Island to travel for games and the New York City is a Rangers town. They should at least change their names to Brooklyn something so they can pick up some new wannabe fans.
  6. Makes sense...Carse's checks per player are outrageous in GDL. Lol. And the only practice I've had with stat extracts are with Blitz and the 2013 ROM -- which must have that hack applied as well. Great job smoz!!!
  7. When I set up my stat extract for the 2013 league, I mimicked Blitz stats as best I could, including late checks. The way I did it was subtracting individual player checks (which only count checks during play) from the game stats checks (which count the total checks).
  8. HABS mentioned to me that he and Frey will play this week. That would take care of A 1st round. Robbie doesn't have Internet now, so his series vs. Wookie is delayed. Only question is kupuck/iceguy
  9. Again, I just took took clips that I thought were fun from games 3-6. Hope you enjoy
  10. Wow, that's looking great! I love all the records and different stat breakouts! The only thing that I don't like is the black on red font....little harsh on the eyes. Maybe a lighter red, or light blue?
  11. lol, absolutely...he's #1 on the hit list. I also like it when the goal scorer tries to get away...makes it more fun when you can slam him down.
  12. The Etiquette Guide says: "Checking/Celebrating After Whistle: Some coaches like to check players as much as possible after a whistle. This is perfectly acceptable, and can be a fun side-game if both coaches like checking. In the case of a blowout, continuing to check after you score your 7+ goal can be considered taunting, particularly if your opponent doesn’t check back." I know I like to check after a whistle myself. My personal goal is to knock all 5 players to the ice and have them be down at the same time. I don't think I've done it yet. lol. It's also mental...if your opponent can get into your head with the post-whistle checks, that's his advantage. Somehow, you gotta let is slide. I can surely understand how lag/desynchs/framerate problems take out the fun of the game. Maybe we should all consider trying out Kega, especially since now it has savestate ability during netplay. The only thing is lacks is video recording. Pearate is a good dude, always plays his games, always polite. Sorry to see him go in GENS...best of luck in SNES.
  13. Dragon/Pearate has stepped down from GENS. Wittgenstein (AIM: philiveyismyhero) takes over DET. Good luck!
  14. Good luck! His AIM is CBears1992
  15. I had TomKabs on my replacement list -- I talked to him a while back about it. Now I got you down and you are next in line for sure! Thank you! http://forum.nhl94.c...takes-over-nyr/ Dynamo -- best of luck, I hope ends up well with you and we see you back next Spring.
  16. I think this means you, me and eggink playing our GDL games at a bar.
  17. Slapped together some highlights from games 1 & 2...
  18. Alright fellas...let's break it up. Let's consider this done.
  19. Overall, a great series vs CHI/Zalex! All of the games, except for game 5 (one of those "nothing goes right/everything wrong" games) were very close. A couple of bounces here and there and this series could have easily gone the other way. I was fortunate to have come out ahead for my first series' win. I have nothing but respect for Zalex, who was instrumental in my Blitz development when I started. I'm sure he'll be back for vengeance in Blitz 08! I'll post the game videos up in the future, or maybe just a highlight reel, but here's what ended up being the game winning goal and series clincher. Game 6, tied 3-3, a little over a minute into the 3rd period, Neely goes up the ice using a combination of his brawn and agility to put DAL ahead 4-3 for good. GGS
  20. It'd be interesting to see salary/value ratio. For example, Selanne @ $300k >>>>>> Gretzky @ $3M! I'm assuming this would have to be weight-bug fixed.
  21. Thanks for letting us know! Good luck.
