  1. Looks classic! Can't wait to see the finished product!
  2. lol, not to discourage you, but I ranked DET the worst in B. http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/13593-blitz-06-team-rankings/
  3. I believe Dan has Edmonton already. Check out the teams section below http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/13643-teams/
  4. I haven't gotten in touch with smoz yet to play, but I'll make sure one of us gets it recorded. And I like the idea of posting using the "spoiler" feature, so you if you don't want to know the final scores or outcome, you can watch the series unfold.
  5. Surprised it only went 4! Thanks for posting the videos, always appreciated! I just watched game 1. GG -- MTL 3 breakaway goals! Wall of Roy! I did laugh when Davydov missed the open net one-timer and you immediately put Selanne at C. One suggestion for future recordings -- check the game stats after the game (scroll down and up) to keep a record. Awesome stuff guys.
  6. The website says, "sound from your system microphone is also recorded"...my guess is you would need a mic to pick up the audio -- I guess put it next to your speakers?
  7. Not sure if you guys have seen this thread: GENS: How to Make Game Movies (avi) I haven't done this either though, for fears of slowing down gameplay. I play on a netbook, so I don't have a lot of firepower to begin with. One time FPB mentioned using hypercam, something else to consider. Again, no experience from me.
  8. Just checked StubHub - club seats going for $300.
  9. Awesome turnout! I'm good with my Rangers. Can teams be used in both leagues (i.e. someone in B wants to use the Rangers too)?
  10. Hate to have back-to-back requests, but could you add "per game" stats for G,A,CkF,CkA, and SOG on the player stats? It'd be nice to see to compare players on those stats in the middle of a season and/or completed seasons with different # of games.
  11. lol! wow, great prediction -- you and HABS are cleaning out the sportsbook!
  12. Get well dude, hope to see you again in the future.
  13. Update: Game 5: TB 4 @ CHI 3 Game 6: CHI 5 @ TB 7 TB wins series 4-2. Game 5 saw Roenick get injured for the game in the 1st period, which was a huge break for TB and huge loss for CHI. Game was still very close with the game winning goal being a penalty shot in the 3rd! Bradley deked back and forth, ultimately stuffing a forehand snapper past Belfour. Multiple chances for each team and TB held on as time ran out. Game 6: Roenick came back to TB angry and quickly put up 3 goals in the first period, giving Chicago a 3-0 lead. TB called a timeout, and paid off the referees. Simultaneous penalties on Smith and Roenick gave TB a 5-3 advantage with a a few seconds left in the 1st. The start of the 2nd saw another CHI penalty. Two quick scores by TB followed, along with another CHI penalty. A fast 3rd goal, the game was tied 3-3, and everyone was out of the box. The next period and a half saw each team exchange goals back and forth, up to 4-4. TB had put in Kontos (related to ?) and went up 5-4 on a Kontos wrister. CHI pressed strong, hitting a post I believe, and the ensuing rush saw Kontos pass to Bradley for a deadly one-timer, putting TB up 6-4. The teams exchanged a pair of goals to make the final score 7-5. Great series (the first 4 games were all super-close too, even that misleading 10-4 game 1 was 4-4 in the 3rd I believe). TB got the Roenick injury in game 5 and crooked refs in game 6 that proved to be the difference. Ggs Pearate, great season. Toronto awaits...
  14. Played test GENS game...connection is fine. Just gotta get some practice with the controls first.
  15. Gill blocked shot on Yzerman! Sounded like a great series!
  16. AIM is the main way we communicate, so it'd be best to set it up and let us know your AIM screenname.
  17. Let us know your AIM name (see above posts) and we'll see if we can get you up and running!
  18. Great write up! 7 game series always intense. Congrats on the victory.
  19. AOL Instant Messenger http://www.aim.com/ It's the primary way the '94 community communicates. Download it and let us, or more importantly the SNES guys, know your AIM! Good luck
  20. Ugh, that sucks dude. I'm really sorry I gave you the wrong info on this. I have no idea why the controller doesn't register with the adapter, but the adapter registers on the computer. Maybe contact the seller with quick note -- he/she may be able to shed some light on this.
  21. I think if everyone agreed to this, I'm pretty sure I can get those stats in. Either through the countifs function, or some other way if Google docs doesn't support it. Same with getting a league leaders in Pts/G, G/G, A/G, etc. sheet for both teams and players.
  22. Google Docs has gotten a lot better since I last visited! I created a sample of what I was talking about. This is a simple 3 team (NYR, VAN, BOS) schedule, where each team plays two home and two away vs each other. You'll see a tab for each team, with the games listed on top. Simply type in the goals and assists for your team for the game. The results and standings will update automatically. I think you should be able to edit the document if you enter with the link below: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AqEmEQH4fNGPdDJnOUFxU1RvM3VZdEo1d3lDR0FIWnc This was pretty easy to create, and could probably be improved with some more thought. I find this easy to update, but I also understand that I'm more familiar with spreadsheets than the norm. We can still post final scores as a check, because there will be input errors, formula errors, potential vandalism, etc. as this will be open to everyone. Thoughts, suggestions, criticisms all appreciated!
  23. Was thinking the same thing -- I think I can come up with an easy format for us to use. My initial idea is to have a sheet for each team, players listed on the lefthand column by last name alphabetical order, and the games across the top. Then, each person can just go the their team page, and type in the goals/assists for that game (each game has 2 columns -- G/A) by player. Depending on the capabilities of Google docs, this can also feed a master sheet that updates the score of the game, W/L, and standings. I'll tinker around with something and maybe have some other people help me test. But I think it should work and it will be easier than it sounds.
  24. If people don't mind posting like they did last year, or with screen shots, I'd be glad to help with the player stats. If you guys want, I can compile and update every few days or weekly. Just give me a holler. Or, perhaps by the time the league is up and running, we can develop a simple savestate extract to make it easier. Don't know if we can post savestates on the forum, but something to think about.
