  1. how do you NOT score?! much harder in GENS, by about tenfold. super easy to score in SNES.
  2. I think you should remove the duplicated men, like Cirella from the Rangers. nice site, yo! organized better than this one. bookmarked for referencing. thanks! edit: where did the player images come from? were there more on the memory than were used? I see a picture of Mr. Turcotte....
  3. I want to know how the two goals in three seconds happened. tell me.
  4. great ideas, there. I wish I could play on the computer, as I'd love to put my name in the game (Mike Hartman could be replaced with me -- same number of letters and skillset) and change what most stuff is called; that would be "wicked pisser."
  5. I've scored over one hundred several times.
  6. bows down with his tongue out? no, thanks. and Keith's? is that beer? here's how I will get back to my regular standing around here: beer is for pussies. anyway, glad I could help these dudes out; they seemed to REALLY need the game and I have dozens, so donating the cartridges was the easiest choice I've made in months. stay smiling, y'all.
  7. you are quite welcome, duder. glad you had funs. don't worry about the karma points, as it won't make a dent in my -723 online karmakounter "points." I've yet to set up a successful interboardmember game around here, so if any of your friends there actually dwell hereabouts, pass on my phonenumber and have them holler at your boy. rock on with a sock on.
  8. glad my two teams (BOS, NYR) made it. here's hoping they get a series together by beating MON and NJD (and anybody else they may need to beat in order to meet). will the two matchups be close or will the shutouts continue (both season series totals have been zero wins for Devils and Bruins)? Bruins have been improving against Montreal, but it doesn't look good. Bueller?
  9. anybody feel like making a list (short or nonexistent, I assume) of folks that are on the same team they were in NHL '94?
  10. just had this happen to my opponent in the past couple of days. he was at the top right with his goaltender and pressed against the corner of the net. at the same time, his stick kind of reached around to the front of the goal, making it tough to tell if it went in through the net or across the line (make sense?). goal was credited to my goalie (he was the last of my players to touch the puck). I felt bad.
  11. yep. and I think if somebody has enough points they can be ranked above a star goalie. and a goalie could be a star if he faces enough shots and saves at least 90%. something like that.
  12. that sentence doesn't make any sense. please try to explain your point again.
  13. not to dwell on old $#!+, but all teams except mods (unless agreed, I guess) and allstar teams are fair and the guy who wanted to ban the Penguins (HA!) is/was/will be a moron. I guess it could even be stated that any team is fair as long as the other guy can pick the same team or an allstar team. in a tournament, everybody gets a chance at whatever team, so even there an allstar team would technically be fair. I'm much more liberal on this issue than moron number one.
  14. kind of looks like it might have landed, but, yeah, fun stuff.
  15. if you can be switched over to the SNES, you are welcome to come by my place to play most any time.
  16. ....followed up by the "then you're stupid" defense. you're on a roll!
  17. ah, the classic, super-mature I'm-going-to-declare-that-I-can't-believe-you-are-still-defending-your-point-and-THEN-get-in-the-last-word-myself-and-consider-my-point-proven retort! haven't seen that one since third grade, but, hey, it's all fair here in the land of the Everybody Hates Tru Message Board, as long as it's me on the other side of the discussion.
  18. then a REALLY QUICK up is like catching your balance after a check. please.
  19. oh, so in the real game there is a certain amount of time you must stay down before getting back up? please.
  20. I disagree totally. if you get knocked down, you can get back up (in real life, right?) but you won't necessarily be immediately useful; in the game, if there is an opponent touching you (usually the dude that hit you), you will be clinging to him, essentially using his uprightedness to gain your own. even if it wasn't intended to be part of the game: it is part of the game and a crucial one, as far as advance tactics are concerned.
  21. never thought about backskating as advanced tactics, but I do think that using the stand-back-up button is relatively advanced.
