  1. Gens is very picky on how u run the track.iso and the mp3's. Basicly you have to name your main image to nhl94.iso, and the tracks have to be named Track 02.mp3, Track 03.mp3 etc.
  2. That map should be placed in an easy link off the main page or something.
  3. Ah, yes, I have looked into that and the only hitch is that you need the source code for nhl 94 which has not been released. Best to just wait for the Sega CD release.
  4. Did you take the BIN file off the Sega CD version and are playing that in Gens?
  5. I have tested the patch myself and it works, just download the NHL 94 iso off the downloads section on the main page install the patcher and there you go, only takes a bit. More info will come when the update is complete on how to do this.
  6. Ok, there has been some debate, people don't think that the Sega CD version of 94 is that different, playing the game in an emulator is handy and being able to play 94 online is cool but I'm telling you that this site is getting off track. I love the work that Wboy, Mack, Swos and others have put into the game but just sitting here and playing NHL 94 online will not get us anywhere. I will never give up hope that someday someone will get a clue to maybe this site or another and improve this game to what we want it to be. If it wasn't for the initial work by Chris and me and a few others, this great site would not exist. If we are ever going to improve this game and get someone's attention that can actually do something about it we need to focus more evenly on playing 94 and editing it. My friends and I only play the CD version and we are all looking forward to playing Chris's NHL MMVII release.
  7. Gameplay is really all we have in 94, it's why we play it.
  8. Hehe, everyone always wants blood. Nah, I just think that we need to be more objective when it comes to things we want, I have said this a million times before but we want a NHL 94 gameplay style game with full options and all that. If we say we want things like blood, that takes away from the gameplay itself and it becomes an addon. Every new hockey game that comes out now adds more options kinda like that and the game gets nowhere. NHL 94 got it right because they focused more on the gameplay then the options.
  9. I got it working, Gens is extremely picky on the track listing, has to be listed like this: http://img462.imageshack.us/img462/7007/untitled5vc2.jpg The ISO itself should be listed Track.iso and the audio tracks should follow exactly as listed. Track.iso Track 02.mp3 Track 03.mp3 etc.
  10. Gens is supposed to support MP3 audio tracks but it never seems to work, any ideas?
  11. Biggest thing that has always come up is not stupid useless things like blood or other dumb stuff they want in new hockey games, but its fighting in NHL 94. I'm sure it's possible as some of the code is in the game, if u search the hex code on the CD version it says fight instigator but more then that we have not been able to find. Something about missing sprites.
  12. I have yet to test an updated ISO image to play online, just need to edit the kali client.
  13. Be nice to compile all the known vid clips of that and have them on the website.
  14. This has more than likely been on this site before but this is the swingers video clip, they say that they removed the fighting but NHL 93 has fighting, I think that's where people get confused.
  15. I don't see why they haven't made one by now, there are plenty of 3rd party hockey games, NHL HITZ, NHL ROCK THE RINK and a few others. It just only seems natural that they would make some kind of release for the die hard fans, not some crappy emulated version that they included in NHL 06 that is not even worth playing. I'm talking about a remake of the SCD version made for new systems and all the season options and stuff that goes along with that. I have had enough of the poor excuses of hockey games that have come out and the low ratings on the game sites are slowly starting to reflect the poor quality of the games. I say don't buy any of the new crap that EA comes out with until we see a vast improvement.
  16. I'd like to see more improvments like this going into the game, ultimately It would be sweet to have a game with 94 style gameplay with AI enhancements and new hockey game options, problem is people focus too much on the options and adding player controls the game gets too bogged down, heck the whole reason we edit this game is because we all know that the new games have lost much in the translation. I would like to see 94 taken to the next level and I'm sure most of the people here do to or we would not be here.
  17. I played a bit of this release and the jerseys and the graphics look really good, Chris went all out to make the jerseys and the logos to look as close to the original as possible. While the graphic improvements are sweet the gameplay due to the lower ratio of the player ratings, makes this game far more challenging and that's really all that matters.
  18. The only reason the Wii's are selling is the low price, that's it, same reason even I picked up a GC for 100 bucks, while the PS2 was still about $200. Any other reason you are kidding yourself, also, most of the new games suck anyways, not worth your time.
  19. Ya, what Swos said, just turn on Perfect Syncro in the CPU menu.
  20. All the old school games are NOT worth it if the multiplayer games like 94 or otherwise are not playable online, like 94 on NHL 06 on the PS2, should have been able to play that online. As it stands, one can play all those games you pay big bucks for on the Wii, right now in your computer, and you can play most of them online for free.
  21. Yes, the common answer is usually ebay for everything, I bought my system off ebay. Here are some systems: http://videogames.search.ebay.ca/sega-cd_S...Z62054QQsascsZ0 If that link doesn't work just do a search for 'Sega CD'
  22. Sorry Mack, its just my opinion that the ratings are usually too high in most of the edits that come out. From a gameplay standpoint, I like more realistic ratings but what i really look forward is the steps you good people take to edit other aspects of the game like in the graphic department.
  23. I still play Chris's 10th anniversary hack and I like it better then the rest, looking forward soo much to NHL MMVII. You all owe it to Chris and to yourself to play this game.
  24. I'd join a league if it was a lot less games.
  25. I think that those 94 ratings for Hull and Stevie are way to high, both good players mind you.
