orangeblack92 Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Hey everybody, I thought this might be a cool idea. I am not very competitive when it comes to playing at the highest level and competing for championships, so I thought that this would be som thing that myself and other people like me who play with the keyboard would enjoy! I will make up the rules and everything once sign ups are done. I will give everybody until the end of New Years Day to sign up. P.S. This tournament will obviously be run based on an honors system. Your opponent can not tell of you are actually using your keyboard and not a game pad, but I would just consider you a cheater and a poor sport if you really want to cheat to win something as silly as a little tournament such as this. Please don't be a dick, and please use the keyboard. Quote
TubaHero Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 I'm in as balls, though I won't be able to start playing until the 3rd, if that's alright. Quote
kingraph Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 FYI, some of the best players (Plabax, HABS, Frey, Zalex, swos, etc.) use keyboard. Not sure what you're planning, but I don't think keyboard restrictions will filter your participants much. Quote
The Russian Rocket Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 I use keyb0ard too. Quote

Carse Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 apparently they dont make gamepads in canaGA Quote
PixelDragon Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 apparently they dont make gamepads in canaGA Haha, I have a question for keyboard users : is the "pass-shoot" a special technique for keyword users ? (Plabax is a specialist for example) I mean the "pass shoot" when the player in on a face to face with the goal in the central axis, with the Stick in an 45° angle. Can we reproduce this technique with the pad ? I have detected another strange move too, after a game interruption : the selected player moves sometimes "step by sped" and doesn't accelerate... as if he tiptoed.... Special keyboard technique too ? Quote

kingraph Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 I use pass shot all the time (i use a controller), but I would think overall keyboard is better. I played with keyboard to practice and found the pass shot easier as aiming was more precise. As for the other move, I think you mean when a person taps the controller / keyboard button a bunch of times instead of holding it down. Creates that "skipping" effect, which I find funny. Quote

I think Pearate means wht Vinny usully does after he gets scored on, a slomo version of the skip. Quote
kupuck19 Posted December 29, 2012 Report Posted December 29, 2012 if im thinkin of the same slow-mo skip/moon-walk stride ass mentions, its def somethin easier done on keyboard. Its a combination of how holding down the direction i want to go and than either tapping or lightly pressing the opposite direction button(left and right) arrows on the D-pad. if you do too much pressure on the opposite side that your sprite will do a spinorama Quote
