According to his wiki Zubov has retired.

"On April 18, 2011, it was reported that Zubov would officially retire due to hip-related injury problems."

I've removed Mike Craig, Chris Simon and Dominik Hasek from the list as they don't have a contract this year. I wait and see if Nolan and Nylander sign somewhere else.

you have Lidstrom spelled wrong in the first post. is there another player's photo in the game that resembles him enough that I could/should use it for him?

Found some oldies that should be added back to the list.

Jesse Belanger-St. Georges Cool FM-LNAH

http://eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=10905

Mike Craig-Villacher SV-Austria

http://eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=11579

Robert Petrovicky-HC Kometa Brno-Czech

http://eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=1916

Adrien Plavsic-Basel-Swiss “B” League

http://eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=12649

Michael Nylander-ZSC-Swiss "A" League

http://eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=693

This eliteprospects site is awesome. It has so many leagues and so many players with up to the date information. Type in any name to the search engine and its information galore. This should be our new database for this post.

Awesome stuff AJ. I've mostly just been doing google searches to find out whatever info i can. How many guys from the game did you end up researching to come up with these? I think Belanger has been off 'the list' for some time.

It's a very user friendly site. They have complete rosters for 92-93. Just bring the roster up and it displays age and contract status. Most guys are obviously retired, but some of them were left blank so I would double check their personal profile. I checked most everyone in the game although one or two may have slipped through the cracks since i didnt go one by one.

Is there a version of this thread that tracks if guys are coaching or whatnot now?

Brad Shaw has been an assistant coach in St. Louis the past few years (despite several head coach changes).

Maybe we need to list all ~500 players and divide them up into

Still playing:

NHL

KHL

Other Pro League

Coaching:

NHL

Other

Team Management (GMs, 'director of player personnel,' etc):

Retired, whereabouts known (non-hockey profession, or plain retired):

Retired, whereabouts unknown:

Up to his no good tricks again with his temper, smoking a ref in the face during the fight. The ref's glare after says it all, NOT impressed.

Ray Whitney should have been "in the game" and is still playing. I assume there are others that got left off their rosters. can y'all think of some of those players?
