  1. Ok thanks for the update. Can MILLERRR post here to let us know what's going on with a computer setup? If he's going to be able to play we need to know before we have no choice but to replace him. If he needs any help we're here. -Evan
  2. Has anyone even heard from MILLERRR? Did he even get a confirmation game in? -Evan
  3. Ellyb93 has contacted me/Chaos last week regarding logging issues and emulator issues, though this should of been resolved by now. Has anyone heard from him? And I thought wittgenstein was a regular in the leagues. Where's he been? -Evan
  4. Chaos, thanks so much for updating this. It will probably make your life easier -Evan
  5. I just pasted what was in that link: 1. NHL 94 If you’re still not convinced that reintroducing old games with online play can work, look no further than nhl94.com. Through the beauty of emulation, an entire community has sprung up around this classic, complete with online leagues, tournaments and even instructions on how to make your own edits to the game. Trouble is, for those of us less technically inclined (or just plain lazy), the prospect of delving into the whole emulation scene can be enough of a barrier to entry to prevent us from ever experiencing NHL 94 online. But if EA were to re-release the game on Xbox Live and PSN, suddenly everything would get a whole lot more appealing. And it’s not like EA hasn’t done this before -- they included NHL 94 on the PlayStation 2 version of NHL 06. All we ask is that EA take it one step further and give it to us as a download. If the developers want to throw in HD sprites while they’re at it, we won’t complain. I know this idea is bouncing around the game world constantly. I'm positive we'll see something in our lifetime that is a "remake" of nhl94 with online play. -Evan
  6. Hey Eric, Nice to hear from you again. Yes, the community is doing great and Smozoma gave an awesome summary. Sounds like you were the glue for the 2on2 league, so maybe you'll get the itch to play again. If you're not sure what to do with all that money you won, maybe you could buy out EA, and then get us on board to create the ultimate hockey game! -Evan
  7. DaDonch, Nice to see you around. I'd love to see how this goes, so hopefully you can keep us posted on the results. If it's pretty quick and easy to continue running simulations it would be really neat to use different ROMs or game settings each time. Or even run the same simulation a few times to see how consistent the results are. Cool stuff! -Evan
  8. Happy Belated Birthday Chaos, and fantastic work you've done with nhl94online.com!
  9. I voted yes because I'd find it very interesting to hear different people's line combos and "finds". It's one of the great aspects of the Gens version of NHL94. My friends/family/coworkers play and everyone's always trying different guys out. I have my own favorites for each team which I could reply with. -Evan
  10. Goalies in NHL'93 are extremely easy to beat, especially without manual goalie. Typically a goalies save percentage ends up more like a batting average. That deke to one side, shoot to the other side will work just about every time. -Evan
  11. Woo that was tight, got it with 7 seconds remaining. -Evan P.S. Richter is NOT the starting goalie on the Rangers in the Genesis version though they didn't say which version this was for.
  12. Actually for San Jose I would go with this line first: L - Carter (depending on the day this position could be several players) C - Berezan R - Gaudreau D - Wilson D - Pederson G - Irbe but they're all pretty bad I know this line sounds strange but it works for me. Carse I'd say try to just play the season out and maybe use it to learn the team better. I was a bit suprised you chose SJ in the first place. Maybe take a break and play some practice games. As Halifax said you have some time before the next checkpoint. -Evan
  13. Happy Birthday, enjoy it! -Evan
  14. Chaos can probably just fix the score to be correct (be quicker then him removing the score and you guys confirming again). So, what game number according to your schedule are you speaking of? And what should the correct score be? -Evan
  15. Happy Birthday Wags, hope you're enjoying the day and maybe even watching some NHL action. -Evan
  16. Yup, hockey is back! Great games tonight so far. -Evan
  17. I'll do my best here playing roller hockey for years (ball and puck). Position - F (Typically Center) Handedness - Right Weight - 130. Yep, I'd be lethal with the weight bug. Speed - 5. The light weight thing makes it easy to be quick. Agility - 4. This might slowly become a 2 or 3 by the end of the game. Off.Awareness - 4. Loves the offense. Def.Awareness - 3. I will get back since I'm quick but never said I could actually play defense. Shot Power - 3. Pretty good considering my build. Checking - 0. No checking in the leagues I play in (and good thing cuz I'd get rocked). Fighting - 0. Fighting = banned in my league and I have egg to handle the scrums Stick Handling - 4. Loves the stick handling. Shooting Accuracy - 3. Average, though more times then not I shoot right at the goalie (more of a passer then shooter). Endurance - 3. Decent, but definitely get winded as the game goes on. Roughness - 0. Hah. Passing - 4. Loves the passing, and setting up nice plays. Aggressiveness - 1. I like to put pressure on the opponent. -Evan
  18. Hey coaches, The time has finally arrived. The Classic '94 Season is now in session, you may play your games. Here's some useful information about playing Classic '94: To see your schedule, choose the league you're in on the NHL94online.com homepage and then click on your team. Here's the quick links for the leagues: GENS-A - http://www.nhl94online.com/?lg=4&sublg=GENS-A GENS-B - http://www.nhl94online.com/?lg=4&sublg=GENS-B GENS-C - http://www.nhl94online.com/?lg=4&sublg=GENS-C SNES - http://www.nhl94online.com/?lg=4&sublg=SNES Once you are viewing your Coach Page, you'll see the schedule with "Log A Game" links and Confirm text. Here's how to log games (Taken from the Rules page): From the team/coach page, the HOME team owner clicks on the "Log Game" hyperlink for the game played, and enters both the score and his league password. Once that is completed, the AWAY team owner can enter his password to confirm the score. If the HOME team has entered the score incorrectly, the AWAY user may make a correction; the HOME user must then confirm the corrected score. Once both teams have confirmed the score, the team page and standings will automatically be updated. Checkpoints You'll notice there is text on the Coach Page that says "8 Games left to satisfy Checkpoint ( 1 ) by Oct. 19th, 2009." The first checkpoint is October 19th. You are required to play ANY 8 games from your schedule by then. Then, checkpoints will continue every 2 weeks and you can always check your Coach Page to see the status of your games played. A quick way to see all the AIM screen names of the players in your league is to click on the Teams & Schedules link on NHL94online.com. I would recommend adding these screen names to your buddy list to help know when your opponents are online. If there are any problems or questions with the site, please let us know immediately. We want to make sure things go smooth for everyone and the experience is good. Also, if there are any disputes about logged scores just contact me (Evan), Chaos, or Halifax so we can resolve the situation. Thanks guys and goodluck! Oh, and have a great time playing too! -Evan
  19. Welcome to the community! Hope you enjoy it. -Evan
  20. P2P/Hamachi/Kaillera servers are all acceptable. Whatever gets it done. -Evan
  21. Always will have this game on Sega Genesis. Yea, we used to play all sorts of leagues, 2on2. Also have to have it on the computer for online play. -Evan
  22. Hey Jared, Just tried contacting you on AIM. My screenname is goldparalax. I'm around here and there this evening so hit me up if you haven't gotten a game yet. -Evan
