  1. Yes, 12 goalies! And here I thought my friends and I were the only ones who ever witnessed this. Great video clock. Thanks for sharing. -Evan
  2. Hey Jeff, great to hear from you again! -Evan
  3. Hey chaos, Excellent, PHP and MySQL is exactly what coding the site uses now. Do you have a good amount of spare time this summer? If you can help out, PM me so we can talk in more detail and I can help you understand what needs to be done. Thanks! -Evan
  4. That waiting list is database driven and the guy who created it has been too busy to modify it. We're hoping there is someone on this forum who has database skills and some spare time to help with the backend in the future. -Evan
  5. Have you guys found your confirmation games or still waiting? -Evan
  6. To the recent signups, welcome to the community guys! There's no admin verification on posts. -Evan
  7. Hey guys, Well, almost a year later from around the time this topic was active and not much progress. I think that needs to change. Maybe with some brainstorming and help from guys here in the community we can create this League Generator? Main functionality that we'd need off the top of my head: - Decide on coding language, database type, etc. - Being able to use any ROM, with various amounts of teams, players, hex offsets - Keeping track of all "Save State" stats (uploaded into a database) - Making sure all stats needed can be extracted for Gens AND Snes (not sure how far along the Snes is) - The League Generator would need 1 main admin and a team the admin appoints - When a league is created, it adds the league name to the dropdown on the homepage of nhl94online.com using 1 login/password for all leagues on that website. Changing the dropdown would change all the stats to that league. - Would be able to change league settings and save them - Would be able to generate a schedule automatically - A full-blown userpage with an avatar, career personal stats, awards, etc. There's probably a bunch more I haven't put down in this post, but mainly just trying to get back into the idea. The GDL site uses a system that seems to be ideal for most players. Maybe we could use that system on the nhl94online.com website. I'll have to chat with dmitry and any others who can possibly help. I'm all for doing whatever it takes to get this rolling because I know this would make the leagues run much more smoothly. Here is where I got with the layout of the League Generator page last year: http://nhl94online.com/template/custom-league-setup.php Let me know who may be able to help out! -Evan
  8. By "main" I'm guessing you mean the Classic '94 league hosted on nhl94online.com? If so, there's no set time for registration yet and I'm not sure how the teams will be picked at this time. Don't worry, anyone who is a "regular" player and shows good sportsmanship will find themselves in a league. -Evan
  9. Hey basher, Welcome to the community! Please read through the various active league forums and post if there's any question as to when the next league is starting. Most guys who run leagues will help you out pretty quick. -Evan
  10. The best way to find opponents to play against is to contact them on AIM, and setup the plan. Then if Genesis, either meet on a server or have someone host using p2p. If Snes, most guys use ZSnes and Zbattle. Do you have an AIM account? -Evan
  11. Hey, Does anyone have good/bad feedback on the Genesis and Snes emulators from The Emulator Zone for Machintosh? Check it out: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/mac/ -Evan
  12. Hey gray, Do you get issues when using any ROM in the playoffs? Or is it just this ROM? Also, you've been able to play Genesis ROMs on your MAC without problems? If so, there's several guys looking to get setup with their MAC. Let us know your setup so we can help others out. Thanks! -Evan
  13. Yea, I think most ROMs using the 30-team patch just keep the "home" and "away" banners with only the colors changing. TLP works great when you finally understand it. -Evan
  14. Are you simulating games or actually playing them all out? 17 rounds in a shootout sounds crazy if you were playing another human. Way back my cousin and I did a complete 40-game season with all the teams (and playoffs) playing all the games out with 10 minute periods. I'll have to post those stats here for amusement. Kind of looks like the GDL stats with the top center scoring tons of goals. -Evan
  15. A league generator is something I was hoping to have for everyone here, but currently does not exist. Right now new leagues websites are being managed and maintained by the guys who run them. On that note, who wants to help me get a league generator started? -Evan
  16. Hey klepto_hab, This is a common question that as far as I know, hasn't been answered. Windows OS can run the Gens/ZSnes emulators. It will probably take a little bit of research on the web to find what Mac users need. -Evan
  17. Below is the hosting company's explanation on what unique visitors means: "This analysis summarizes multiple page views of an individual visitor into unique visits. A visitor is counted only when bringing up at least one page and taking no longer than 30 minutes between individual pages." So yea, it seems if you close your browser and go there an hour later you're considered unique again. And Tick, I have no idea what the spike was on those 2 days.. maybe something with one of the leagues? -Evan
  18. Hey guys, Just like to share the site traffic info from time to time. The forum alone is averaging a few thousand unique visitors a day. The nhl94.com website is averaging a few hundred a day. Here's the forum stats from May so far: Enjoy! -Evan
  19. Hey nbphilly, Welcome to the community. As far as your question, I believe wboy's 30-team ROM changed the way the startup banners were used. My tutorials were using a non 30-team ROM with default hex offsets. The 30-team ROM probably has different offsets and possible different handling of the colors as well. I'm sure some other guys here will have more info. -Evan
  20. Nice ones. I have done the score after the whistle, and I have it listed as number 22 on the bugs page though I suppose we should also mention this happens after a penalty shot as well. Yea, I forgot about the offside onetime because I rarely play with offsides on. -Evan
  21. Hah, great find Darrell. Dude, that was from one of the only SNES NHL '94 games I played against the computer. Good stuff. -Evan
  22. Playoff action has been a lot of fun to watch. If you have the chance, catch the games. Besides the refs making "interesting" calls (which goes along with this whole season), it's been enjoyable. I'm making no predictions because to make correct picks at this point is just luck (even picking Detroit). Round 2 had all 1-goal games so far (although right now Detroit is totally dominating Colorado). -Evan
  23. Hey guys, Just wanted to clarify that the temp website for the Classic '94 Spring 2008 season can be found here: http://www.planetrogers.com/ClassicSpring08.htm The stats from this season will eventually be included on the nhl94online.com website. -Evan
  24. Welcome to the site man. Enjoy. -Evan

    Playoff Races

What a run for the Caps! So glad to see them make it. Goodluck trying to predict any playoff series this season. -Evan
