  1. Well I was half-kidding, but someone needs to learn that ASP coding (I just looked that up btw, it'd take some time to learn). But a draft on the forums could really be done in the mean time if we really wanted. Only real question about the draft rules is who decides your protect groups. But yeah, extremely unlikely and most people probably won't want to do it.
  2. Draft and then worry about finding a commish? Why not? I'll take it at this point.
  3. I'd like to jump on the waiting list. thanks.
  4. absolutely in disbelief that they extended his contract. huge mistake. he's completely incapable of making adjustments. I can't think of many other times in history where a Cup contender completely fell apart in the playoffs 2 years in a row and the coach got an extension. baffling.
  5. no argument on the top 2. they were clearly above the rest of the pack in the regular season. There are others that can pose threats to them but it'll take some creativity and probably luck. there are borderline A/B players that have to play in B. Simple as that. no need to go any farther into it.
  6. apologies for any AIM screwups, but we already played so it's kind of a moot point.
  7. Long, confusing story... but the summary is, I logged the wrong file. that 1-0 Toronto win over Detroit is incorrect. If someone can just remove that, I have the correct file. Thanks.
  8. Glad to see this became a dogpile on mav... The exact thing I asked people not to do. Very cool.
  9. Few scheduling leaks for opening day on the 19th. Pens to open at Philly in a nationally televised afternoon game, Jets to host Sens that afternoon also. Habs to host Leafs, Wild opening @Colorado.
  10. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=412844 and let it be known that of all people, Boomer Esiason was the first to announce it: https://mobile.twitter.com/7BOOMERESIASON
  11. In addition to what Robbie said, mav did complete the previous season with Detroit. So he's actually more qualified for the rights to Detroit than a lot of people are to the teams they were given the rights to. Let's not make a big controversy out of this. Play him, if there's a problem, let someone know. That's all that's necessary.
  12. for houly: 1. Montreal 2. New Jersey 3. Washington A league
  13. yeah, just to clear up any confusion, the only way to lock a team as your own now is if you use the rights you have to a team listed above, or you select a team not on the list. otherwise, it's as if you're just entering the league and a list needs to be submitted.
  14. "According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun, both sides have told Beckenbaugh they've got some room to move on open issues." Possibly important. Mediator's job is to find middle ground, this is the first time since mediation's been used that they're actually giving the guy something to work with.
  15. As I type this I've been informed that jay is not interested. So we should be good....
  16. Just to clarify, the following people have the rights to the following teams. To qualify for these rights, you had to finish last season with the team, and/or played enough games to count as a legitimate use of them. If you played with more than one team, you have the rights to the first team you had. You can play in the league with a different team not listed below. There are some issues with the website's standing page so some of these are kinda pieced together using a variety of sources, so if anyone sees any mistakes, please let me know Anaheim: Robbie (keeping) Boston: MinpinD Buffalo: Pearate (not keeping) Chicago: Dcicon (keeping) Detroit: Mav Edmonton: danlizhot LA: Bo (not playing) New Jersey: eggink NY Islanders: beavers NY Rangers: KingRaph (this one could create controversy, because wook was allowed to switch teams in the previous league because he and Raph were in separate leagues. But Raph's had the Rangers the 2 previous seasons, and wook will be playing in A this season, so it'd make sense to give the rights to the Rangers to Raph and Wook the rights to the team he had in A the previous season, in Pittsburgh (not playing) Pittsburgh: Wook (not keeping) St. Louis: Sicarius Tampa Bay: Carse Toronto: Icestorm Vancouver: Kupuck (not playing) Washington: SOH Winnipeg: Probob (keeping)
  17. if the league isn't sticking to their "take it or leave it" crap (big "if"), this should be a launching pad towards an agreement.
