Tried getting the group rate at the Courtyard-Marriot where you guys are staying, but reservations could not find "Andromeda or Wave" on their list. They currently only have King/sofa combos available for the weekend. I've booked myself into the Monte Carlo (I booked through Hotwire - but I see the same price now on Expedia which offers free cancellation). I'm arriving Friday afternoon, and will be ready for exis and 2v2. If there is a room, or small meeting room in either hotel where we can set-up - I'm happy to pitch in some money.

Man I wish I was active on the boards when these leagues were running. Was lucky though to get a season or two of Blitz and a few seasons of GDL before they folded.

I know that most graphics and colours (jerseys) can be changed, but are you hoping to tweak player animations? If so, that's a whole other level of programming.

I read a couple of threads, and there was a producer from the 2K developer talking (he now works for EA) and mentioned that the last version was rushed. Amazing work here. For those that haven't taken the time to look, NHL2k11 was a Wii only release, so it runs in the Dolphin emulator on your PC.

Take a look under the NHL95(PC) section, there are a load od DOS tools for working with rosters and graphics, I believe work for both versions. 18-19 Roster update (NHL95PC): Long list of utilities:

If the rom is set with the "goalie hack" then you would need a 6-button set-up , as the manual goalie is the Y-button. Maybe try playing the classic rom, and see if holding the B-button gets you goalie control.

Also. It's a good practice to make several saves of a rom when building it out, just like coding. If you plan to make several changes and then add some of the previously created hacks - get saves at every step.

Fun game, play it with my kids occassionally. Slapshot is another one that is fun, even for kids. - 10-15 minute presentation before tourney play starts to discuss the benefits of playing online, draft leagues, 2v2. - I've thought about this for a while, what about devising a free USB drive with all necessary files that guys could just "plug and play". - What about giving away "bootleg style" DVD copies of the many created roms (with a folder containing links to the NHL94 sites, and files necessary to play online) - Have a laptop handy for guys to sign-up on the site - maybe provide some incentive (free program? cheatsheet?) - Maybe offer a "live draft league" mini-tourney for guys that don't make the bracket play. Just spit-ballin'
