  1. My $1,000 bet is on Houly (+750). I haven't played against half these guys in the last 6+ months, and I like those odds.
  2. Hopefully you (36-4 in C), rammer (35-3), and da94wookiee (36-4) are back for the next classic (I guess Spring'12?) to make the B league stronger than ever! I'm looking forward to seeing how the C playoffs shake out. My guess is it comes down to the three of you.
  3. Can there be a coach page similar to player page that lists career stats by year, then total? Right now if I click on a coach, I just get their season 6 record, and no history. And when I go to Coach Standings, I can choose to see one year at a time, or all at once. For coaches that have played in both A/B, I can't see a total, as I have to choose either A or B. Btw, the "extended" stats are fantastic.
  4. HABS mentioned "B coming soon", but why not have two sportsbooks set lines? Then we can take advantage of any mis-priced lines!
  5. My $1,000 bet: $500 on Zalex (+$475), $500 on AJ (+$475) -- best odds in top half of the group.
  6. I do something similar to get pumped up for some '94 games:
  7. Remember, there will be 2 points deducted for people who haven't finished their games, so the playoffs are not set yet! Either way a great season w/ EDM ProBob -- definitely showed my odds-making skills are OFF! Division won, congrats. Sportsbook 2 of 2 so far!
  8. Is that your old man in the corner all pissed 'cause he can't watch football??? Dude is THE BEST. That white tux is pimp -- congrats again to you and your wife!
  9. There's only 3 buttons, so it shouldn't take too long to get started playing. Best advice is to just start playing a lot! Once you start beating up the computer, come back for some online play.
  10. Bush league move! In league play nonetheless. Pausing is covered in this online etiquette guide: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?/topic/13422-online-etiquette-guide
  11. I highly recommend installing AIM -- it's how this community primarily communicates, particularly for setting up games. It's easy to see who is available at the moment, and also will be used to communicate as you're setting up. Sign up, let us know your AIM...I'm usually on at night (>9 EST), so feel free to IM me if you see me...I'll be glad to help you get up and running.
  12. LET'S GO RANGERS! I will look for the Vancouver fan surrounded by $160 worth of beer tonight on TV! (Though, thanks to the Cablevision/Dolan, I can't see it in HD yet )
  13. Sorry bud, didn't mean to turn the pressure up.
  14. As much as I hate to say this, but what about Brodeur over Sawchuk?
  15. Good point, I assumed conferences didn't matter. The rules say: "GENS-B, GENS-C - Conference Winners are top 2 seeds, then the best 6 teams after them make the playoffs (8 teams). There will be a consolation playoff bracket for teams from GENS-B and GENS-C that completed their 40 game season, and did not qualify for the regular playoff brackets." Based on that, I figured next best 6 was regardless of conference. If RoBro wins 2 of 3, then we'll actually projected to have 4 (kupuck, kingraph, RoBro, Gretzky) and 4 (Pearate, Smozoma, Eggink, & Sicarius) from each conference, otherwise Dan takes the spot and we have 3 and 5.
  16. Big news in B! IMO, definitely a major contender for the cup now out. Hope to see Logan again in the future -- good guy, good games. At the same time, happy to see Sicarius get a shot in B! Good luck!
  17. Just noticed my original reply never went through (must've been phone) -- I (was) available on weekends, preferably nights, but if you need to, we can get our games in the upcoming weekend days -- just let me know what times work for you. And if you want, M-F I'm good after 9 p.m.
  18. Happy birthday! That senior citizen discount will be sweeeeeeeet in 31 yrs. Lol.
  19. Alcohol also reduces your inhibitions, allowing you to happily express your homosexuality in a public forum. Good for you, Houly, I'm happy for you.
  20. FYI -- played a bunch of exhibs w/ Hokkee last night and I had no issues w/ the shortened goalie control time.
  21. Week 5 (30 game minimum) Checkpoint Status: No big changes in the standings these last two weeks, but we're at 81% of the season completed! One note: Gretzkyonacold, the favorite (-110) to win the Adam division has mathematically clinched! Congrats! Patrick Kupuck (19-9) will most likely take this division as predicted. He is 4 points behind kingraph (21-16), but has 12 games left to play -- 3 of them against kingraph. The nightmare for patstew19 (2-35) is almost over as he just has a 3 game series left against Logan (QUE). With GENS C needing replacements, I'd hope he gets a chance to play some competitive games with a better team. Adams gretzkyonacold finished 22-18 and has clinched the division! RoBro (17-20) also has a 3 game series against Logan (QUE) to wrap up the season. He still has a chance to make the playoffs, but Logan is tough and winning 2-3 games will prove difficult. egorde (16-19) played a bunch of games these last two week, and has 5 games remaining. Just like RoBro, he can make the playoffs, but has to play 3 games vs smozoma (TOR) and 2 vs DET (kupuck), all tough games. Will be interesting to see if either guy can get in to the playoffs! Norris eggink (18-12) went 8-2 these past two weeks and is now a virtual lock to win this division. He is 2 points behind nhl94dan and has 10 games left. nhl94dan is holding on to the final playoff spot with his 19-21 record, and that might be just enough to get in. Finally, Cory (10-21) did not play any games these last two weeks and remains out of the playoff picture. Smythe This division is the toughest, and ALL coaches are behind the weekly checkpoints for games played. That can be a major factor at the end of the season, where 2 points are deducted for games not played (with exceptions). Pearate (CHI) is now 20-7, still leading the division, and conference. He would be the #1 seed now. Logan only played one game this past two weeks and he sits with a strong 17-6 record, but has 17 games left (7 behind this weeks checkpoint). Smozoma managed to get 4 games in this week and is now at 13-10. Also 7 games behind the minimum checkpoint. Again, all 3 teams have a 5 game series to play against each other, so that will be a nice chunk if they can play them all at once. Let's get it together boys! CURRENT PLAYOFF PICTURE Conference winners are top two seeds, next 6 make it in Based on win %, however, there is a 2 point deduction for games not played at the end, which could really affect the standings, particularly in the strong Smythe Division. 1 - West Conference Winner - Pearate (CHI) .741 2 - East Conference Winner - Kupuck (DET) .679 3 - Logan (QUE) .739 4 - Eggink (CAL) .600 5 - kingraph (TB) .568 6 - smozoma (TOR) .565 7 - Gretzkyonacold (BUF) .550 8 - nhl94dan (WPG) .475
  22. It's quite strange that Smoz was not able to get the ROM to work, on the other hand, the '11 league ran successfully with something like 16 other players. And I recently played da94wookiee (bradbershad in the forums) in a few'11 exhibs, just had to make sure our controllers were both set to 6 button (even if you use 3) and it worked fine as well. It may not be worth the hassle now, but I would welcome that Y button hack in the future. Still haven't had a chance to test the latest Blitz ROM with the reduced delay, but I'm guessing less time is better.
  23. Tell that to Freydey, who has LA in the GENS A league, but also boasts the lowest GAA (3.63 as of today).
  24. Have I been replaced by monkeyjuice1702?
