  1. well, then put us in touch with the guy who makes them and tell us how much you paid, including shipping. please. edit: I very much want dozens. maybe when the Bruins finalize their roster... and maybe NOW! I'm not patient enough for this! PLEASE put us in touch with the person who made the ROM -> cartridge and tell us the cost per you were quoted and received. PLEASE.
  2. yeah... we need to know how you pulled this off and if you can make these for the rest of us or teach us to do it! I've been looking into this for a month or so and I'm a bit out of my league, but I have a friend helping.... edit: we were just typing about this same concept, here: http://forum.nhl94.com/index.php?showtopic=11963 I really want to make cartridges out of the second and third games found here (both are SNES ROM hax): http://trudatmangames.blogspot.com
  3. thanks. any idea how the SNES one works? you save your ROM on a flashcard and it autoloads it? buffer menu? bypasses Nintendo copyright check? looks cool. edit: I believe I would need the file header offset fixed. if anybody can help me with that, I could use that type of assistance with this ROM and with my Street Fighter hack, too.
  4. bumping this because I added a much better description of the ROM to the first post. word. get on it like it's my moms!
  5. I clearly don't know what I'm typing about, either (as evidenced by the post stating the exact opposite of what I was saying). and you are inferring a problem in the absence of one. I thought I knew the answer, but maybe I do not...
  6. I'll try to be more clear. the Genesis game had a battery in it that the SNES game did not. no emulator is likely to correctly mimic that feature, regardless of what computer you use. when it comes time to load saved data that would be found on the batteried chip, the data isn't there. it won't work. now, later, PC, Mac, emulator1, emulator2. try SNES, it's password-based, instead.
  7. this has already been answered [edit: in this thread]. it's because there is no battery in the ROM. you are stuck with it. play SNES, instead.
  8. that game looks... f u * k i n g awesome!
  9. what ROM is the signature above from? weird EA countdown image thingy. 1994 Rangers -> Bruins 2010 was a gradual shift as the Rangers started to become REALLY embarrassing. games I usually go to are Rangers at the Garden in Boston and I think I would cheer for the Rangers until WAY too recently. now they are a distant second, but they are still way ahead of the rest of the league. summarized? please add me to the Bruins' list.
  10. the one-on-one ROM is an easy way to get the netminder the third star of the game.
  11. looking into making actual cartridges. anybody done this?
  12. anybody fuxed with the advantages?
  13. this is quite the topic. I wish I understood it better. somebody should take on a comprehensive hacking section for the main site, so searching for threads is minimized. yeah, so, uh... wow.
  14. well, at least I'm not the biggest jerk on the site anymore. when's the next vote?
  15. it appears that five minute penalties take fifteen seconds to get sorted out. ref conference, I guess. edit: the current Bruins were updated.
  16. I really should post the updated ROM... okay, doing that right now.
  17. no deals! if the Bruins lose Savard and Satan and Recchi all by this time next month, I'm going to be PISSED.
  18. used this ROM to put up 134 points (doing the opposite of what the ROM is meant for). was a shutout, but the goalie didn't get a star of the game awarded to him. pretty uneventful. this score could easily be beaten, especially if you want to bother using save states. still trying to hurt/penalize enough of the scrub teams' players to see what happens when they are truly shorthanded, but I've yet to get that final player out. possibilities abound. check it out. edit: when too many players are in the box and they need a skater, one is pulled form the box and his time remaining reads as 0:00 until his penalty expires. I still want to know what happens in a similar instance with too many players injured.
  19. for newbies who prefer Genesis: get the ROM with the weight bug fixed. it almost makes the Genesis version playable.
