  1. I would be interested in NHL 95 for xband. I have yet to find good online play that doesn't desync often for gens.
  2. Love WCHA Hockey and I may have to try my hand at an online league again. Pencil me in for St Cloud State. Have to get some test games going here shortly to see if my new cpu will be better apt to handle online. I would lean towards accurate ratings, but like kupuck19 said it would be hard to get an accurate ratings. If we did even teams might be kind of fun to have some odd ball ratings for players. Like a great one-timer player with 0 attributes in everything else. Just a thought.
  3. Doesn't this game run on the same engine as Baseball Stars?
  4. Those boards are great! Love the drawings. I wish I could go back in time and find the old notebook brackets I did when I was a youngster. All we have of those days are legends and folklore. My early memory was actually of NHL 92. All night 6th Grade Slumber Party played that game so long my sleep deprived eyes stopped working and the players looked like they were melting on the screen. And no we weren't on drugs, just JOLT cola.
  5. I agree with you on most of the above statement. 95 is probably my favorite video game of all time but think 94 is also a great game. I think they perfected passing in 94. I think the two main reasons why 94 is considered better 1. It came first, people were used to this style of play and they kept building and improving that engine from 92-94 and when there was an overhaul to the engine changing graphics, controls and game play in 95 many people did not like the change 2. (and I think the biggest reason why this website is so successful) NHL 95-98 on the genesis can't play online without a bunch of problems. The games desync and a high rate which makes it frustrating. I tried and failed starting a couple online 95 leagues.
  6. I was at that game, scored free tickets two rows up from the USA bench.
  7. You mean this guy? You think he would work for Elsinore Beer?
  8. Interesting, thanks for the tip. Can copy logos at all also? Or is that something totally different?
  9. Well an official hockey game I guess you got to go NHLPA. Always thought a college hockey game would be cool, but definitely not a big enough market for that. But since you already have an official hockey games out there, I think a fictional arcadey type of game would be cool. But not unlock power up shots arcadey, Tecmo Super Bowl Arcadey where you would play a season teams would get progressively harder. Had a NES as a youngster and besides Tecmo, the other sports games that got the most playing time were Ice Hockey, Punch out, Baseball Stars and Dusty Diamond All-Star Softball. They were great games and did not have real players.
  10. That is the greatest thing I have ever seen, and I look at myself in the mirror on a daily basis
  11. Hey Cole, Could I get a copy of your edited rom? Sounds interesting.
  12. At the tourneys we do many a controller has lost their life. Mainly from button mashing rather than controller smashing. I picked up a bunch of new in the box sega controllers on ebay that were probably made 10 years ago. I found that they broke even quicker. I am guessing the reason is that the plastic/rubber got brittle over time. Also any controller that dies is brought back to life as a trophy. The cord is cut and spraypainted a golden hue
  13. Here's a link that explains it genesis battery change I have done it a few times, getting the security bit helps a lot, but I did not use any other tools. I just took off the battery with a butter knife and taped a new one on.
  14. That is pretty cool. Thanks for the link. It's amazing what people come up with on this site. Too bad it doesn't work for 95. But still very cool.
  15. What about cpu controlled? Anybody do testing on this? I am guessing low puck control makes the goalie weak on defending the down b shot pass between the legs shot.
  16. Bumping this from a while ago. What ratings for the goalie are the most important? Human controlled and Computer controlled? Are there any ratings that are worthless?
  17. Is it possible to Copy and Paste Nose Ratings into excel or another program?
  18. Still having no luck, is there some sort of security thing in vista that is messing me up?
  19. Funny Stuff Clockwise, but you may have awoke the sleeping giant that responds to sound "John Schrader". Ron Barr can only protect you for so long............................
  20. Thanks for the info I'll try that. Segathon is still alive and kicking, still manging to meet 4 times a year for the tourneys. Our biggest hurdle was finding a place to host it each time, none of us are renting the old college houses to trash so no one wants their place to smell like old beer and have holes in the walls
  21. Does NOSE work with Vista? Could not get it to work, it said I needed mscomctl.ocx downloaded that, but I am not sure if I could that to install either. Thanks,
