  1. I like this idea. Known offenders AND suspicious users, right? I've got four we can list, that's for sure (I believe hokkee is reformed, but I'm not saying that if you're on probation that I should be your lazy parole officer). Plus, as a league commissioner, I'm just itching to catch master and prodigy in a lie. In fact, I will talk to you both later today to try and confirm you are not the same person once again - it's time for a re-test. Maybe SNES Classic will be an 11-team league... So like I said, I've got four names...
  2. Wow, everything went to hell while I was gone. For the record I was at a Sharks game, and was trying to figure out if they were the same person. Eastvanapna and hokkeefan2 had one (1) post coming from the same IP. As far as I know that could be an issue of living in the same building, eastvanapna hitching onto hokkee's wireless, etc. It's pretty clear they both live in Vancouver, but that's one quite populous NHL94 land.
  3. Aside from getting him to join, I haven't been able to get games with him (steadily) for months now. It's fenty, after all, we all know the time zone difference and the affinity for knocking the net off Hell, we need to populate the SNES wait-list. I'm just looking for a reason to have three-game series in SNES now...it's getting pretty close.
  4. Standings are below. The following players are OUT, and replacements are being contacted: canadianist (MTL GENS A) mlnewc (QUE GENS A) iwikqthy (NYR GENS B ) - replaced by aepurinet fenty62 (PHI SNES) - replaced by pondhcky sabrefan1 (BUF SNES) - team removed socceric18 (PIT SNES) - team removed stattonhl94 (QUE SNES) -team removed, placed on waitlist jimcraig30usa (LAK GENS B ) - replace by negativenick7000 The following players are on the hot seat, waiting to be replaced or removed: trailingedge17 (WSH SNES) - needs to play games. Remember you need to keep up on games. As of Oct 14th, you should have 11 games played.
  5. one spot will be open for sure, in GENS B. I will be updating standings today and then assessing the damage.
  6. Test games are pointless if you're not posting your AIM screen name.
  7. It's cause you were playing SNES - it takes a lot more to nail a dude in GENS. Plus, the SNES versions goalies are less intelligent, IMO - you have to be a lot more crafty in GENS: one-timers, dekes (are a lot harder in GENS to perform), Fadeaways, and crashing the net all have varying degrees of success in GENS.
  8. Boston is fine gonna suck, but it's fine the way it is in the test rom.
  9. "mlnewc" has been overwhelmingly unavailable, and will very likely be given the shaft when classic hits its first checkpoint (Sunday Night). I have also not seen Dervin online - ever. I don't know how he's making contributions to this community (somehow I see his name around) but he's totally not around.
  10. Got it ryn - not sure why I had them going the other way (czech the results?) Next update will have those fixed
  11. PondHcky added to waitlist (not for long though - he'll replace someone).
  12. I have them now (I worked on a relatively interim sheet last night). SNES is left to go, so look for them later this afternoon.
  13. If you open an NHL94 rom in NOSE, at the bottom-lefthand corner of the screen you will notice six hex bytes. They are assigned by team. The example is San Jose from the new 2009 Update Rom. The first byte ("45") is still unknown. GDL and Capitalism (now) has it set at "44" for all teams. The second and third bytes ("11" and "11") are PP/PK advantages and home/away advantages, respectively. GDL has is set at "11 10," Capitalism has it set at "00 00." Byte 1's actual digits usually add up to less than 10, IIRC. Byte 2 and 3 does not have digits higher than 3, and in most cases no higher than 2. The fourth byte ("F9") is the number of forwards, followed by the number of defensemen on the team. The fifth and sixth bytes ("C6 00") are the bytes assigned to the team's goalies. These bytes sit somewhere in the range of 66-72 bytes BEFORE the first player on that given team. You must find them in a hex editor to change the first three values. However, by some minor checking, you will be able to identify the bytes very quickly based on their proximity to the first player and their actual values. This is the basically the same in SNES as it is in GENS.
  14. alright, this kinda pisses me off, but i found the team adv/disadv hex numbers IN NOSE. The team you have selected has six hex numbers in the bottom left corner (so 12 characters), just imagine they are "0011 2233 4455" "00" I still don't know but I have it at 44 because Scribe99 did that for GDL. "11" is PP/PK adv/disadv "22" is Home/Away adv/disadv "33" is the number of forwards "44" is the number of goalie bytes "55" I still don't know But there is no way to EDIT these numbers in NOSE! And there needs to be!
  15. did and done. Changed them all to "44 00 00" in the 2009 update rom. Capitalism League for GENS is finally rid of this horrible inequity.
  16. I am officially waiting for GDL6 - my draft sucked.
  17. I'll give it a check when I get home...you guys can use that rom if both parties agree, etc etc. Use it at your own risk, though, as you should with all edited roms that are not released officially. EDIT: Just noticed I hadn't used a technically "blue" color, but on my screen there's no difference. Here's an update: nhl94_classic_fall2008_better_blue.bin
  18. Ok.I'm already going to lose 40 games anyways.
