  1. I should be around most evenings (including tonight), so hit me up if we haves games.
  2. Yup. Let one of us know your screen name and we can get you into the 94 AIM groups.
  3. That would be awesome. I would definitely be down for doing that sometime. Maybe we can make it out if you get a Chicago tourney going.
  4. Driving out there, I, too, wondered if the experience would be uncomfortable, but found everyone to be so nice and good natured that it really did feel like a bunch of old friends getting together for a weekend. It was great to finally meet so many of the people I have known through the site for years. It just shows what a great, strong community and group of characters we have here. I couldn't have had a better time. Congratulations and thanks to everyone that made it happen. Hopefully we can get even more of the people from the site to come out for the next one. It was so much fun hanging out with all of you.
  5. I had a great time and was amazed at how smooth the tournament ran. My only suggestion for next time would be to consider getting a venue that would give us more space. I thought by the afternoon, our section of the restaraunt was really crammed and noisy, making it hard to get around, watch other matches, and talk to people. With that said, though, Real Sports was definitely right environment for the first tournament and to feature in the movie.
  6. Same. Also one other thing I just noticed: In the google doc, the chart on the front page says the intermission/orientation for afternoon games is at 12-12:45. However, some people in groups C&D actually start as early as 11:30. I know that the way that is worded is techically correct, just wanted to point out that some people in group c&d start before the afternoon orientation. I bring it up because c/d were always informally referred to as the "afternoon" groups. So this was a little confusing (to me at least) at first glance.--- What I'm getting at is that TK actually starts at 11:30, so don't show up at 12:45! *edit: I start at 11:45. Thought I started at 12:45 from skimming the schedule. Still, waking up at 7:30ish and then waiting until 11:45am is a drag. Is there any way I can give someone in writing beforehand that I will be there for my game without having to be there at 8? If anything changes (i.e. our car breaks down or Canada doesn't let me into the country), I can let someone know know by Friday evening.
  7. Wanted to post this because I know a few other people were wondering about it and that some people may not have noticed it in the e-mail. If we play in an afternoon group, do we have to be at the bar at 8am to register? If we don't, but show up at the noon intermission, will we be replaced from the tournament? Also, would we be able to have someone else check in for us (like someone from the morning group) on our behalf at 8? Just curious bc a lot of us are trying to make plans for Friday... and the time we would have to wake up may determine how late we stay out. (Plus it's a bit of an inconvenience to have to wake up and get there so early, only to have to wait almost 5 hours to play.)
  8. Me, Soh, and Bo are planning on getting out there early enough in the evening on Friday for 2on2 action.
  9. I'd be down, although I'd vote for Super Baseball 2020 instead.
  10. Kvart 1st star of the last game. No surprise there. I've said it before and I'll say it again: pound-for-pound, Kvartalnov is the best player in the game. He has more grit and character than anyone else.
  11. 61 (As some consolation: You are better than 81.81% of all users)
  12. I always thought this would be a good idea... a section to post anything non-94/non-hockey related
  13. When word gets around about the tournament, every hotel in the city of Toronto will probably be booked and hotel prices will go through the roof for that weekend.
  14. As of now, SOH and I are planning on coming down, altho it's not 100% certain yet. Even if SOH can't, I may still try to come down. We'll see. (A 2v2 side tournament would be awesome.)
  15. Agreed, unless you are fenty, who was born to live by no rules but his own. Free winds and no tyranny for you, fenty...
  16. Yeah, talk to bingo bango fenty fango, it's one of his signature moves in snes.
  17. THIS... this is why having classic twice a year should always be a top priority
