  1. I ripped all of the organ tunes, SFX, and intros for '94 some time ago. If anyone wants them let me know and I'll give them to Evan so he can host them on his downloads page.
  2. Oh, you mean these? These are endangered anymore very rare in the wild (ebay). Only way to get them is through Sega Direct of Japan, still you need to be, or know a resident of Japan. You could always get the chip kit from retrousb and solder the pins to a Saturn pad you already have. I know I've said it in the past but it's not hard at all and really worth it if you put time into emulation. There are Saturn USB adapters as well. Those Genesis 6 button pads are feather weighted and really cheap, two of them came with my Sega Genesis 3. The 3rd party ones are better than the Genesis 1st generation ones. Unless you can find the Sega CD 6 button pads; they're tight.
  3. Sungod gets the nod from me too. Dueled with ellyb93 as well and he's good to go.
  4. The net, face off circles, redline, and crease all share the same palette. It is possible to isolate individual tiles and alter colors by assigning them to existing palettes that have the color(s) you want. The net tiles reside somewhere in the vicinity of the puck tiles (don't remember 100%), the offsets for them are in the sprite-patch thread. If you're looking to change the net, paste some tiles from other edits; Macks, mine, Swos' etc in tm / tlp in the interim until I find time to rip the various nets and write a tut.
  5. Seen you in my server a few times but we still haven't rumbled yet. I'll msg you sometime for a game.
  6. That's an interesting way of looking at it that I never thought of! However, what actually makes a player a 99 rating it's difficult to describe if you haven't edited player ratings before (which you have). The system is basically stat classed as I said before. 50 goals equals 81-95 shot accuracy and so on, of course there are always exceptions to account for: in 90-91 Lemieux had 19 goals and 26 assists in 29 games, but he is still deserving of 99 shot accuracy rating. I'll to get around to putting it up, hopefully sooner rather than later.
  7. Snes9k might support 4 tap, might want to look into that. Also the Gens 2on2 rom is only 2 skaters a side, not 5on5.
  8. Shiver me timbers Vern, never did see that before! That's some Salvador Dali stuff right there, know what i mean Vern?
  9. SOP would be to use a teams overall record and points total to determine the team ratings in comparison to the rest of the league. For example: The Vatican Holy Rollers finished last season with 45 pts, and 250 GF. The league high is 105 pts and 320 GF, so, you give them a team rating of 58. Same principle applies when formulating a system for player ratings. Harvey Wallbanger tallied 24 goals and 15 assists; you see where I'm going. If there are players you don't know a whole lot about because info from the era is hard to obtain, then you could do a system like this (it's what I did for the 1 game wonders): Use weight to determine speed and shot power (heavy players get heavy shots, light players get more speed); it's sort of an NES Ice Hockey rating. Ultimately, it boils down to what you want in the edit.
  10. It's good to know people find them useful. The tips can also be found by clicking the "about" link in the nav bar.
  11. May I really? Thanks for giving me the go ahead. Oh by the way, this could be a problem considering the rink tiles which contain the score keepers are configured differently in wboys decompressed rom than in the original rom. Which would make the patch, un-err-universal, and only applicable to the 30 team rom. Much like the comment you made about my sprite patch not containing the tape in the face off window (which I clearly noted before hand) that I'm still waiting for a reply about.
  12. If you encounter any latency it's because you, or your opponents connection is experiencing packet loss; which Kaillera always does but you don't really mind until the game becomes grainy. If Kaillera didn't the game would desynch/disconnect every time a packet was lost/game hiccups. This could be due to your ms, but it's very unlikely, that is if your both under 150 ms. I've played people in England and other places remote to me over 100ms with virtually 0 latency, and I've played people under 30ms in games that were impossible to play through. Chances are it's due to a router or other resources or you need to contact your isp. Far as Midwest servers go the NHL'94 server is physically based in Chicago.
  13. Based on our chats and games, pcp420 is a stand up guy and I would recommend him for league play without reservation.
  14. Must have been a temporary lapse of sanity. I've done the right thing and removed it.
  15. That was one of the first things we decided on; retaining the color scheme to keep from breaking continuity design wise, but flipping it from blue to red so it didn't look exactly like the mother site. If anyone has any suggestions, media, or anything to add to the tips section lmk and I'll add it.
  16. No problem, just let Fleury know he's left handed from now on. He'll understand.
  17. NHLPA'93 finally has a home. Tremendous thanks to Evan for letting me hatch this for his site, it was a lot of fun. You're the man, man! There's enough media in the form of videos, artwork, downloads, tactics, and a colossal writeup that should satiate the most savage 93 fans. And as keeper of the 93 flame I'll be adding manual scans (courtesy slapshot67) and other 93 paraphernalia as it surfaces. Enjoy, and glory to the game. NHLPA'93.com
  18. You might have missed what I said previously. Those tiles are not hard to find in TM or TLP. In fact, you can take my 91 edit and paste the tiles from my face off window over yours.
  19. 1 vs 5 can be very challenging. Used to play this game where I'd get one chance to score. If I miss, I would switch to goalie and wait until I make a save or until the CPU gets the puck or my tender gains possession from a shot, then I'd try to get a scoring chance; rinse repeat.
  20. NHLPA '93 of course. Madden '92 is a great football game. Same guys who spawned the EA NHL series (Scott Orr and Michael Brook) also created the Madden series, it's the same style as the NHL games. edit: Coach K College Basket Ball is great too.
  21. Have you thought about getting the usb kit from retrousb.com? They provide you with the pinouts and diagram, all you need is a soldering iron.
  22. Netplay will only appear in the menu if the kaillera.ddl client is in the same directory as Gens. Here's a tutorial Evan's done for getting started online. I have a dedicated '94 emulinker server thats in Chicago. Lag should be non-existent if your both from the same local. Enter ip 208.100.63.106 in netplay. Good luck.
  23. Bobby Holik is still playing with the Thrashers..His unibrow would like to be on the list as well.
