  2. Aw, thanks for a laugh to help us start our week, metz!
  3. The above post is certified as 100% true.
  4. I predict the imminent demise of this provision. But not this one!!!
  5. And so with the fifth edition of the Gens Classic League, I ask myself...who else has played in every Gens Classic League starting with that very first one? One, two, three, four, five...you're great...you're great!
  6. Well, I know I've been tardy, but would it really be the Genesis Classic '94 League without me? The answer is yes. 1. Chicago 2. Buffalo 3. Pittsburgh 4. Los Angeles 5. Boston 6. Detroit 7. St. Louis 8. Winnipeg 9. Quebec 10. Calgary 11. Edmonton 12. Vancouver 13. Toronto 14. Philadelphia 15. Montreal Yes, metz, this is exactly the same list you submitted except I switched Buffalo and Montreal. Comrade.
  7. I tried it a while back. I made #nhl94 on GameSurge and announced it on the forums. No one really cared.
  8. So does this mean that you beat your opponent with a switch instead of a stick? Or is it more like a P-switch that turns blocks into coins and coins into blocks? Cuz those things are awesome.
  9. 15 years later and you're still angry? Geez....
  10. There aren't any good ones, but the most commonly cited one will be that the computer AI is too stupid not to stray offsides too often (which usually happens because people don't pass ahead to the lead rusher because they insist on keeping the puck in the middle of the ice.)
  11. OMGHAI!!!!! But I still have my colon.
  12. Who the hell were those guys? Anyway, this is another quality thread from the halcyon days of 2005, back when I was one of the heaviest hitters around here and kgman didn't have AIM. Good times....
  13. I miss the days when I could make statements like that and have them be plausible.
  14. I was asked by kgman earlier today to make a comment on this thread in order to give it some sort of air of "tickification" or the like. This post serves that purpose.
  15. metz, I'm *this* close to declaring the Tickenest Invitational League, which will consist of me playing myself (controlling both teams) in a 134340-game season just to take away the "unplayed games" record, since it's clearly lucrative and noteworthy.
  16. Knighted, sweet. I'll get home from work around 4:30 PM EDT, but not on Wednesday of this week. We'll see if we can make something happen.
  17. In a stunning upset, this series was played tonight: At Vancouver: Vancouver 3, Islanders 2 Vancouver 7, Islanders 4 At Islanders: Islanders 3, Vancouver 5 Islanders 4, Vancouver 3 At Vancouver: Vancouver 5, Islanders 4 (OT) Vancouver wins the series, 4 games to 1. GGs
  18. Especially when you forget an "e"! In seriousness, though, I'm just sticking to the same point I've made for years, which is that I find drafts boring because I hate doing the research for them and the interminable draft itself makes me want to do something much more interesting, like jab myself in the eye with a sharp, pointy stick repeatedly.
  19. I'd be happy to play beat2thabox in our crucial opening-round SNES "B" playoff series if he were ever around.
  20. Well, goes to show what I know, since I told VC after he beat me that I expected him to win. Anyway, nice job, jrod. You've won the granddaddy of them all, with a storied history dating all the way back to 2005!
