  1. You need a logo for the website.
  2. I'm thinking about the Series Leaderboard. I played a series with JJ, and played around with rosters. The final Series Leaderboard lists players by total points, which is cool. Just think it would add if it showed how many games each player played in, and maybe showed their Poimts/game numbers too.
  3. If I may make a suggestion, I think a games-played, and points/game stat should be added to the final series stats.
  4. League completion stat. Sounds easy - but just like calculating DNP's, I think the guys with the lower number of games should be penalized more and their unplayed opponents should be penalized less. Hope that makes sense. I feel like it's always a handful of guys that everybody is hunting for games with - these are the guys who should recieve poor marks, and not so much the guys who are making the effort.
  5. As a Leafs fan, I bow down to you. Updated logo, and a centennial Leaf at centre-ice. Beautiful.
  6. If league participation starts to dwindle, I'd like to see tournament play start to pick-up... or maybe mini leagues. Brut was onto something when he started looking back at old roms IMO, skip the 'drafting' and start drafting teams in previous GDL/Blitz roms. Roms like clockwise' NHL 91 would be great to play again. Or the many retro roms from Coach.
  7. For a lot of new guys, if there was a standard package that could be sold at reasonable cost (USB controller, USB stick with all required components set and ready) - I think it would be a "hot seller" - by that I mean more than one guy might be interested. I've often thought that instead of having a downloadable zip file for leagues, you could just have a sharable dropbox/google drive folder with all of the updated files including Netplay/GENS, roms etc.. When you sign-up for the league, you are invited to share the folder - could even become a decent repository for gamesaves. I also think that since AJ is travelling so much - we should put him on tech support. Like Geek Squad, he would do home visits and help guys get set-up. This in exchange for airport pick-up and crashing on your couch.
  8. Obviously one of the largest barriers to play is the effort required to actually install and tweak the software to be able to connect. Would be awesome if we could streamline the installation process, as well as the game set-up time. It becomes second nature for most - but if you consider the number of steps required to play your first game, it's pretty crazy.
  9. Thanks for the background Raph - certainly not complaining, simply observing.
  10. I really think the current format is a real site-killer for new players. Putting new guys up against B-level players is a sure-fire way to drive them away. I realize that it's a numbers game, but the guys that are being replaced have simply quit because they are getting destroyed. There should absolutely still be a C-division for new guys, and an automatic graduation for winners or after a certain number of games has been reached. We've been lucky to recruit some decent players from Classic - but there is no doubt that there are a lot more that join and play less than 10 games.
  11. Cheers bud, don't be a stranger. ..and if there's a live tourney nearby - hope to see you there.
  12. It has no trouble with team 32, I tried a 32v32 match-up and it cycled though all players no problem. Switched to team 31 for a 31vs32 match-up and it again crashed after the first defenceman's player card.
  13. Ustream would be the same, when you fire up the software you would opt not to stream. Ustream is more of a production than some simpler applications, but it would allow you to stream a webcam of the user in the corner - or perhaps show the AIM chat between periods etc...
  14. A quick test of the ROM on an everdrive/Genesis 1 showed the same symptoms noted earlier (in my limited plays). When left at the menuscreen the game locked up. When a game was started using team 31, I heard the "body check grunt" to start the game - though the game itself seemed to play just fine once started. Again, not a lot of time to test on my lunchbreak - may have more time tonight to test different things.
  15. Ustream is pretty good as well, it's designed for live-streaming - but it also makes a back-up video file. It also hosts the video free online for 30-days of viewing.
  16. Just learned about this and wondered if the NHL94 community would get behind something like this? https://redditblog.com/2016/09/26/join-us-for-extra-life-a-24-hour-gaming-marathon-benefiting-childrens-hospitals/ Perhaps a 24-hour NHL94 game with different players/opponents and a cumulative score. Maybe a day-long tournament. Given the short notice, we could always do it on another day - but it would be nice to see some community spirit - and raise some money for a great cause. Ideas?
  17. Really cool guys! Next up - expand it to a tournament tracker.
  18. Since we're dreaming - how about an NHL94.com branded emulator that auto-saved games and named them by team/score/date? ..or auto-loaded box-scores right to a website? One can dream.
  19. Sign me up for Wed Night Hockey and get an AIM chat going. Not sure if I can play past midnight every Wed - but I'm sure once guys start playing Wed nights that they'll be available to play earlier in the night. This winter I can player after 10pm on Wed nights.
