They split their regular season 2-2, so there are no guarantees for either team in this series. PREDICTION: kingraph in 7 Houli (3) vs Plabax (6) While Plabax finished just 14-23 in the regular season, he gets into the playoffs with more experience under his belt and can beat anyone when he's hot. Houli will have a tough matchup here for sure. PREDICTION: Houli in 6 IceStorm (4) vs Kupuck (5) These two only met twice in the regular season, and split their series 1-1. IceStorm tends to turn it up a notch in the playoffs and it will be up to Kupuck to hold on to victory. Not having BOS and PHI may hurt too. Houly is banned and yet his whining still make it on the forums, . Look, I'm assuming that you won those exhibs, which is why Houly started having a fit about Kega vs GENS. My only advice is to avoid conflict and play with the agreed upon emulator, in this case GENS, unless both agree Kega is fine. I should try Kega myself. I've heard good things about the quality being better than GENS.

I played one game last night and the standings bug you mention still seems to be messed up. I have 1 GP, but no other stats. I see from your note that it may go away after I play an away game...I'll try to do that later tonight.

Yes, check out the SNES draft results (no weight bug there): http://sdl94.somee.com/Draft.aspx And Blitz, which fixes the weight bug, but also incorporates the checking stat to determine checking ability: http://www.blitz94.com/draftab/viewpicks.asp Note, there is a "keeper" policy in Blitz, so if you look historically at even numbered seasons (2,4,6), Round 1 was a protect, or keeper pick.

Given that the first defenceman is taken late 1st round, early 2nd round...I'd say not.

Due to the weight bug (light guys check hard and heavy guys are feathers) in Genesis, Ray Bourque is not an all-star. He has sick offensive capabilities, but he's so heavy that he falls like a feather. Yup, as far as rosters go, NOSE it the program. Makes it very easy for anyone to update. Other things (logos, colors, hacks, etc) are updated with different means. However, I'm not the expert on ROM modding, so someone else may shed some light.

I'll throw out some A league odds... Carse +300 -- Hard to go against the '94 grandmaster as the favorite here without Frey in the mix. IceStorm +325 -- Beat Carse in Survivor 1 playoffs, and is a top player in every league. He also won 2012 league (sans Carse) Vocally Caged +450 -- VC will be deadly with fast strikers like Gaborik. Runner up in 2012. KingRaph +550 -- Hopefully Ovechkin and the fatties can lead this team to a playoff win da94wookiee +650 -- Dominated Blitz B regular season, made the playoffs in A. Can beat the best of them when he's on. BoKnows +750 -- Not much luck in GENS these days, missing Blitz playoffs 2 of last 3 years....but the "Y" button is here in 2013! Houli +800 -- Always capable of pulling off a series win, Houli will be dangerous. Byfuglien will lead all D in checks TomKabs +900 -- New coach, hard to predict, but based on exis, he has enough skills to cause damage this year Sicarius +1000 -- Solid coach, chance to win Blitz B title. Playoff likely, but it will not be easy Kupuck +1300 -- Going to be a tight race to make it into the top 8, but ku can do! Won't be a surprise if he's in. Plabax +1500 -- The commissioner himself! Didn't fare well in Survivor 2, but can be darkhorse to go deep as he continues to improve. Alonzi41 +2000 -- While Alonzi can compete,his team may be too light and get beat up often. Not sure if speed can do it here.

Nice idea. Player "overall" ratings would have to be figured out, or just come up with a salary for each player...perhaps based on GDL draft. The standard overall ratings for players, at least for GENS, aren't as meaningful as one major component -- weight, which determines checking ability -- is not factored in the standard overall ratings. Plus weight bug really throws a monkey wrench into the whole mix. I'd love to see an auction draft, instead of snake draft, for a '94 draft league. Maybe it would take too long, but it'd be hella fun. You could give everyone a team cap based on skill level or last year standings -- i.e. last place/weaker player gets $250 cap. champ/strong player gets to spend $200 or something like that. I think the SNES guys did a "bench" league, where the common starting lineups were removed and you were forced to use the bench players on teams. Cool concept too, to use players not normally used. Anyway, great ideas! MOAR '94, is what I say.
